Summer's almost here so it's time for my annual dumpage of crazy, and being in the post ME3 mood decided to submit my lastest pitch for a ME DLC adventure for feedback and smithship.
Premise
"Kumun Shol, The Eccentric Volus billionaire has sent word to the council that he has made a breakthrough in his excavations and believes it may hold the key to defeating the Reapers. The Council has sent a SPECTRE taskforce to investigate the claim"
I know what the first question is gonna be, "Why not play as Shepard?"
Which is a good question.
The Short answer, Shepard is busy doing Horizon and Leviathan.
The long answer, How the Scenario ends, and if you think I've just given away the ending you're kinda right and kinda wrong.
But mostly for experimentation sake, I wanted to get away from THE Shepard and the Squad.
You'd have a choice between three Spectres each with a different character and playstyle.
The Turian Spectre, He focuses on combat powers and weapon usage but duiring certain events and at level ups will be given the chance to acquire Tech and Biotic abilities. Stuff like Snap Freeze, Flamer and Lift Grenades.
The Salarian Spectre would be more like a Sentinel, having aspects of all three core classes but learning toward Tech. Kinda a jack of all trades at the beginning and Master of all at the End.
Higer end he'd have the Recon mines and the original Lift power, basically the Lift grenade only on cooldown
The Asari Spectre would of course be your biotic caster option, She'd pretty much run the list of biotic powers, She'd be the one that at high levels woudl get Dominate and Flare but be buffed by things such as Marksman and Overkill.
Set Up:
The game would revolve around you meeting with Shol, who'd explain his newest findings, a massive superstructure that may lead into the deepest reaches of the planet. They only found a few days ago after losing a team. The thing that tiped them off was due to strange energy readings like someones turned something on down there.
This gets reported back to the council before communication gets cut off and a good chunk of the Mercs go crazy. proclaiming "The Radiance must dawn!" "Let the Light Purify You" and "Need a Light?"
Okay maybe not that last one, and yes it is the opposite of the Leviathans' "Darkness cannot be brenched" arc words.
Shol like all eccentric billionares has rushed into the excavation site -akin to a giant underground city/mass tomb- with whats left of his sane Mercs to try and uncover the truth The Spectre team give chase since there is a mystery to be solved.
Thus begins the heart of the DLC the treck through this underground City as you head down, Unlike the rest of ME3 you'll need to scavenge Thermal clips, weapons and upgrades from the various dead mercs you find. I'm thinknig something along a FPS/DCRPG
For the first few levels -as in floors- you'll fight the insane mercs and as you get lower you'll find New enemies, The Servants of the Light and the various horrors that have been locked down here for unknown Eons.
What awaits you at the bottom and what will be the consequences for the rest of the Galaxy?
