Yeah I downloadeed it and now I am really mad! I paid for this thing and it has too many bugs. Bio ware was aware of this but did not bother to contact those that had downloaded the content to inform them that there were these bugs, that they were working on it and that my money would be refunded or at least some form of compensation would be given for the massive problems it has caused.
1) I have played this game for many hours since it first came out. I have unlocked all character specializations etc.
2) Now I am playing through agin with the NEW Return to Ostagar content and gues what, all of my hard work has gone down the drain. I no longer have the specializations I unlocked, when I do go back an reunlock the content it does not unlock even when it says that new content was unlocked. And I cannot log into my account via the game for some reason.
If anyone from bioware is reading this please note the following:
While five bucks is not a lot of money; the bottom line is if I pay for something I expect it to work.
While I understand the dificulties involved in programming game content and making a product that is bug free (having done software development myself), it would be nice if you took the time to announce or at least contact the individuals that actually purchased your program of the fact that you are aware and working on the issue. i.e. let me the customer know what is going on and what you are doing about it.
Yesterday I spent over an hour with EA tech support to find out what was going on and finally someone told me that the return to Ostagar content was buggy and thus removed. That it was being worked on but that they had no clue as to what was happening and even if I would get credit for my lost content or my paid for download.
I was then told that it was really a Bioware issue. Well EA is the parent company, they should have an idea as to what will be done.
More important than the credit for the download ( it was only five bucks ) is my time. I pain- stakingly worked through the game with every character background and combo to unlock the specializations etc only to lose them and not even be able to regain them due to a faulty program. I was not made aware of the issue and in fact had to spent yet another hour of my time to contact tech support in order to discover the issue.
Way to drop the ball on this one. I am a big fan of Bioware but now I am beginning to rethink my stance.
DA origins is a great game, there are things that might make it even more enjoyable, such as being able to play a qunari, other races, or even other areas in the game to explore.
I hope that the issue will be resolved shortly, that those that have purchased the content will be given the debugged version for free, and that my lost content will be restored or at least some sort of extra special in game bonus will be added to make up for my lost time and content.

I agree with you and wonder how many copies will sit on store shelves because EA, Bioware and Edge of Insanity dropped the pigskin. With roughly 1.5 m DA:O sold for 360 we should be getting some attention. Three months soon and nothing that helps.
That aside most of your problems are caused by the patch that fixed the dlc achievement glitch. If you delete the patch by Clearing Cache your specs. will unlock again in about a half-hour. Did you have problems getting ach. for WK, SP or Ostagar? If so are they OK now?. You can delete the patch and not lose them, mine are fine. Don't ditch it till you're sure. When you are ready CC is:
sys. settings- memory- press Y on the hardrive screen- say yes to maint. and scroll to CC
This deletes updates, patches and emulators which will reload when you pop in the corresponding games, no harm done. It will not affect saves or dlc you have on your hd. Once its gone you need to wait or play for about 30 mins then force a link with the servers by restarting or reloading an old save. This should light your specs. back up next time you level. You don't have to retrain or search for a skill book as was first reported.
Look up some of the other threads for a second opinion. Wicked 702 had a detailed step by step that helped but the key is the specs. come back from the servers not old saves. I know this isn't your job but I guess BW A-team is tied up at the moment and why wait a week for an alleged fix. We can deal with this.

RtO did NOT lock the specializations. RtO worked fine.
The specializations are locked due to a faulty patch that we got that morning that "fixed" the achievement issue that a small portion of us had.
You can FIX it by following what Recon said.
I did it yesterday after being tired of waiting for a patch. It fixed my specs and I still have access to RtO.
