Agreed. I honestly don't think Duncan surviving would serve the story at all. Having a seasoned and experienced Warden would destroy the whole "Two fresh faced Grey Wardens finding their path in a wartorn world, struggling against an impending blight" storyline.

    It doesn't mean you can't have him as a mentor. I threw it out there b/c even Bioware denies his death in an interview with ign.

I'd like to see bioware give the finger to MS and just not release anymore DLC for the Xbox.

It is MS's fault at this point that bioware is in this position.

Um..they didn't set a release date this time, genius. Microsoft released the Xbox version early.

Not in so much as they put out an official thread saying "this is when we want to release it" but they did technically commit to having it out today for PC after the MS craziness.  The official word from IGN is that it "will be out by tomorrow morning" but meh.  Annoying, but gotta take what ya get.

This has been complete BS.  I can't believe the number of times this release has been botched.  I was on the edge about buying Awakenings, this situation has pushed me over the line to the "no" side.

So now will modders have access to the armor design of Calin's set? I think his armor looks amazing but I'm not a fan of gold & I'm not aware if there is a set with the same cuirass as Calin's anywhere in Ferelden????

I've seen some threads pop up about that today.  You'll have to hunt them down for more info, but yes: it seems like a few people have.

I think we should all admit to ourselves that it wan't really a release date though. MS screwed up, and I'm sure they have been scrambling to get it out ever since.

   Well I don't think you can be so quick to judge considering not everyone has the same level of self-control. Plus I mean for  a lot of us this is a very important game that we love, a lot. One of the best so naturally we might get a little worked up & say something stupid. I agree that our crowd is a little childish in that it should stop after a few pages. I just pause before I type anything so my emotions don't get the best of me. lol.

rofl, yeah. It is pretty grim times at Bioware. All the success from all those great games is gone because form forum posters are in a fit at some delayed DLC.

Chevalier's armor, I believe.  Same thing, but silver, IIRC.

Fair enough.  I can't really blame them for scrambling around trying to sort out the mess and trying to minimize the damage.  Must have been a nightmare and I'm sure the PR isn't going to improve from this
