No thanks to this DLC until there are some answers regarding this exact bug.

the specialications are tied to the achievments

i played DA:O on my PS3 then it crasched an i had to get another ps3 and copied most of the stuff to the other hard disk, savegames from dragon age origins cant be copied so i lost them completely and had to start over again a new charakter

but i synchonised my achievments from all my games on the old and the new ps3 so on the new run i had unlocked the specs already in a whole new virginlike charakter in DA:O

hope you can follow? XD

in short if you have the achievment you have the spec unlocked no matter if you got in ingame or not

What achievements are we talking about? The ones we've unlocked or the ones the patch is supposed to fix? The DLC achievements. This is all to god damn confusing. Is this thing gonna F*ck up my game and characters or what?

Check "Your registered game promotions" from your profile. If RtO shows up in there, you should be good (or you may have an "unrecognized item"). Just give it time.

my question remains will those who have experienced the bug when you fix it will it give use back the specializations or are those of us who have experienced it up a river without a paddle?

Someone from Microsoft just pushed the "GO" button too early on the DLC. They ballsed up and now Bioware are doing their best to catch up and sort out the issues.

Give them time.

The ones the patch are suppose to fix. The ones from the previous 2 DLC that if u unlocked during the first couple of days didnt register.

The update fixed the client side for those achievments, now Microsofts servers need to update. Once that happens the achievments that are bugged will be un bugged and recognized by microsoft

Looks like stuff happens unexpectedly a lot at bioware. Unexpectedly not ready for christimas season. Unexpectedly delayed for 5th jan. Unexpected released on pc. Then unexpected released on xbox.

And still the ps3 waits. Dear PS3 owners. Not changing consoles yet?

According to Priestly, it will fix itself once Microsoft's servers catch up. Just be patient.

Going off of what Chris said it, yes it does seem like it will correct itself.

Yeah the DEX archery fix, where DEX and bow damage are 1/1.  That would make archery a lot more simple, but I have no idea.

Apparently it's not according to Chris. This specialization bug it somehow linked to the Xbox not recognizing the new achievements or something like that.

Going off of what Chris said it, yes it does seem like it will correct itself.

hate sounding bothered by this but alot of hours went into this game and it would suck to have to re-unlock those. Thanks for the response.

Why do I have it available to buy again in my downloadable content in game then?
