Sorry to keep spamming posts... total newbie modding this technical.  I'm getting that the above question is more or less impossible with the techniques described here.  What I am looking for are the passive abilities of the N7 classes from the Earth DLC.  Can't find them anywhere, or maybe I'm  overlooking them and the paladin's shield mastery ability.

 

Also, noted that after my last bit of work, the sound for the game has shut off unless I run the .exe from the the program's file.

Tzero, I'm not entirely sure that passives are available, however I'm still at or around the same level of understanding you are, probably.

 

Though I seem to have a problem of my own that I'd appreciate help with if anyone could get a grip around my situation. It seems that some of my powers simply do not activate anymore. 

 

The details are as follows:

 

1) Cain tripmine, Nightshade blades, Recon mine, siege Pulse, and hex shield do not seem to appear when turning on the powers.

 

2) I know siege pulse and hex shield used to work, because I had them on a separate single player file.

 

3) I have had a fresh install since that other file was completed, however I saved the parts requiring editing in the walk through and later replaced the fresh files with them. To me, this means that everything should still work.... that doesn't appear to be the case.

 

4) When I say that those powers do not "work" I mean that they simply do not appear at all in my list when I'm turning on the MP powers. Not sure if that specification slims down the issue or not, but there it is.

 

Hope that helps someone figure out the issue, because I'm a little wary of editing anything myself.

I heard someone mention Ascension Mode, does that actually work for a custom class?  Because in MP Ascension Mode is just the Awakened Collector's Heavy Melee.

 

Also I'm surprised no one has made a class using any of the Collector powers, like Seeker Swarms or Dark Sphere.  Or was that considered a little too "OOC"?

Is it not possible to edit an existing class in ME3 without the need for pressing the key everytime one loads a game or changes area? (clean change default powers for a class)

I just tried this and followed step by step, but when I try to give my shep certain powers it crashes, it doesn't happen for all of them just a few like Smash Ballistic blade annhiliation field. (also what does it mean by MP load trick? I dont see it in the tut, or maybe im just not understanding?)

I've ran into a strange bug; When assigning points to reave (using the single player version), it takes up multiple spaces on the action bar that shows when you press shift, essentially hiding other powers. I'm using a vanguard replacing shockwave and cryo ammo with annhilation field and barrier, with reave assigned as my bonus power before I began changing the class.

Hey guys, Im trying to get the MOAM Keyboad manager but I don't know how to open the file. Am I supposed to download the actual MOAM Mod? It says something about uninstalling before playing multiplayer and I play the ME 3 multiplayer a lot.

Hello,

I followed all the steps but I am unfortunately unable to "add" some of the powers whenever I hit F12.

Powers like Ballistic Blades will work, but others such as dark sphere or annihilation field will not be added to my Shepard's powers.

Also, whenever i start ME3 it says:

The following DLC modules were created for another build.Please install or build the DLC for the version you are running. The following downloadable content cannot be used, as a required patch is missing. Please install the latest patch and try again.

 

Do you guys have any idea of what went wrong?

Guide is gr8 m8 I r8 8/8 and everything. SP powers work like charm. Thank you soooooo much. But I cant get whip smash from rebellion dlc to work in singleplayer. I changed it's id but now when I launch the game (doesnt matter if online or offline) it says that it can't verify downloadable content "please login on the account from witch the purchase have been made blah blah blah blah"). Its like it recognizes this dlc in multiplayer but goes crazy about loading it in singleplayer :< I hope u are still supporting this guide :) Great piece of work.

Great guide!  Here's two .bat files that will either switch from your modded default.sfar files to the backups you made (you DID make backups, right?!) or vice versa, only needed if you did the trick to have no power conflicts.  this is assuming your backups have ,bak at the end, which is the default when making backups with the explorer.  Just save these to two separate files with a .bat extension.  I called the first one "i wanna play MP.bat" and the second one "i wanna play SP.bat"  You may need to run as administrator, but you should be able to run it from anywhere.  And you can adjust them if your file paths are different, ie on a different drive, base game is in a different directory, etc.

Hi. Just started with this today. Love it. Only problem is I don't want many of the powers from all the base classes. I save/load the game but everytime I play I have to hit f12 to remove these base powers and relevel up the ones I want.

Is there a work around for this?

Hi there,

 

Are you editing the KM_PresetMANAGER each time? What should be happening is after you first make your class, press F12 with the powergiveself, powerremoveself, and powerreset lines uncommented in this file. That's what resets all your powers most of the time. But after your base reset you should only need to uncomment powersremoveself in KM_PresetMANAGER, because this is the file that actually removes your base class (or any other) powers you want. (Don't forget though, whenever you quit and load up the game again, you need to uncomment both powersgiveself and powersremove self. Then afterwards edit it to just have powersremove self).

A lot of the time if it's one ability that made your game crash you might not have implemented it correctly (so basically, when you were adding in all those ID's you might have skipped it, which is easy to do)
 
I know Soja mentioned it forever back, but I dunno if anyone who has the capability still ever even bothers to check up on this thing. But does anyone have a mini guide on how to add the MP passives to your shepard?

 

Oh, and in other news, after much trial, tribulation, rage quits, and nearly 2 years later. I've finally gotten ME3 on this thing, gotten my MP powers to work, and have gone on some playthroughs with an imported save!

 

Here's my current build

 

Biotic Artillery (Adept)

 

Biotic orbs

 

Dark sphere

 

Flare

 

Reave

 

Dark channel

 

It's a wee bit squishy, but the idea is basically to have huge ass explosions with pretty good cooldowns in between, I originally though this would be OP, but I'm playing on harder difficulty than I usually do so in reality, those few seconds on windup, or cooldown, can kill ya!

Haha it was really fun to play,basically what I would do is use dark sphere towards a bigger enemy/cluster of enemies, then throw a flare when it was clsoe enough. I had the dark sphere and flare as complimentiry, since flare doesn't do nearly as much damage, but ahs a bigger radius, I went all in. I did damage and the dark matter (radius reduction, damage doubled) evo on dark sphere, then did the radius upgrade on flare. This way the dark sphere and flare would pretty much obliterate anything in the "Center" of the explosion, but nearly everything far away would still have it's health knocked down a bit. It actually makes you feel super powerful and like real biotic artillery when you can just demolish everything in a room by carpet bombing with two biotic powers to form a bitoic nuke. To be honest when I'm overwhelmed I barely aimed, sometimes I just send out flares like there's no tomorrow!

 

Now however I beat the game (since I was rushing through, to get better weapons on the PC), and I'm trying out a "commando" type infiltrator. Who's main goal is to keep your squad alive and well, as well in entrenched positions, while also messing up the enemy through disruption and weapons fire. The build is actually kind of similar to yours!

 

He's got:

 

Adrenaline rush

 

Soldier passive

 

Geth turret

 

Hex shield

 

Arc grenades

 

Incinerate.

 

I'm currently having a really fun time using the hex shield as a mobile defense, basically I throw out the turret to let it soften up enemies, throw down a hex shield, and afterwards turn on adrenaline rush, dive out through the shield, shoot some guys and dive back in before I take too much damage, mixing in some incinerations and arc grenades with larger crowds.

this is very very in-depth and i see alot of dedication to this mod for ME3. kudos to the guys and gals involved. and yes i would love to see custom classes in ME:A. it always helps when you the player are granted the ability to make consequential decisions, especially where your own person is involved. i would hope a similar system is developed for ME:A or at the very least, a Bioware dev is reading this and is aware of this idea.

 

PS: kudos also for this thread. because this thread is the only thread i've seen recently that is actually a very good thread based around the new game with an interesting idea as compared to recent thread where people are either stoking fires or complaining, which i'm all-round just tired of reading.

Sorry for the necro, but I can't seem to be able to make my class anymore, i thought i followed all the steps, but when i press F12 all I do at most is reset my talent points, never get any or remove any powers. this worked like a charm before for me, anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem when I tried to assign them all to one button. I don't know why as this should be a simple name thing, I thought that maybe it was wrong because the name mentioned in the guide is not the name used for the new files. But to no avail, I can only do the three button thing for my powers now. (if you're only using the one button trick for all three things)
