All My Specializations Just Relocked. WTF!

So i started up my game and the specilzations the ive unlock are now locked. Even one's im curently using. Whats going on. Anyone have an idea?

I woudln't mind so much if i could just rebuy the books, but thase are gone too.

Are they locked because the character doesn't have any specialization points to spend?

Actually it happened to me as well. i deleted the toon that unlocked archer AW ect.. and i had to refind them But since then no further probs

Before the patch (and before today) I unlocked spirit healer and was even using it for my mage but I couldn't teach it to anyone else. And yes I did have the point to spend on teaching iot to Morrigan. Wynne wouldn't teach it to me either. I had to buy another book to teach it to her.

I started a new character today and from my understanding all the the specializations you unlock persist through all characters. But all my specializations are still locked too!(with the lock-keyhole looking icon instead of the specialization specific one, mind you!) Do you need to reach lv 7 before you can see them?

No. They are locked as a bug related to todays patch. YAY...



I've had all of the specializations unlocked since November, but now they are locked for me as well.

I am hearing that the bug was keeping them unlocked for all character and bioware fixed it.... If thats so then that sucks cuz mine are locked on new chars too.

I think that this came with the RTO patch. t was a glitch with the game from what I understand.

From what I gathered from other users, this is actually a NEW bug. it has something to do with the achievement lists not matching up or something.

Looks like I'm not playing DAO for a nice long while. It was bad enough when I thought you could keep specializations unlocked on one playthrough through that playthrough. Now knowing that you lose any unlocks when you shut off the game means you would have to literally play all day in order to unlock the specializations you want for yourself and all NPCs and then get everyone the way you want them.

My specializations are all relocked for new characters as of the new patch. I have yet to unlock any for my new rogue. I'm hoping they only relocked for new characters or else I'll be waiting until level 14 to talk to the duelist...

They are relocking upon reboot. They say it'll fix automatically. Won't hold my breath...

I'm having the same problem, I think it may have had something to do with the patch earlier today, since it was working fine yesterday? What a lame bug. >.<

Had the same problem with the Xbox version of the game. The books you need to teach the techiques doesn't show up in the stores as well.

All my specs are open again. It seemed to resolve after the Social Maintenance downtime but I also cleared my Xbox 360 memory cache shortly beforehand.
