Okay, I can beat Shattered Eezo, Relay Defense (just), but by the Goddess, I haven't managed to get that orange ball once. And there are 4 mods to get!

Anyone managed to figure out a pattern or a way to improve your chance of success?

yep its annoying as hell and even just randomly doing it 100 times never resulted in me getting one, wish they would of made it where if you watched it long enough you could discern a pattern out of it so as to give the game a slight skill element, and also just curious but what are the prizes for topping the leader boards for the other arcade games? never took the time to play them more than once

You get an Assault Rifle Thermal Scope mod for beating Shattered Eezo (easy, just block and hit the opponent when they charge up, does extra damage).

You get a Shotgun Ultralight Materials mod for beating Relay Defence (less easy, but just keep up a x4 multiplier and you'll get it).

There are a whopping 4 mods in the Claw game, and my completionist nature will need to beat it in every playthrough.

It gets a bit easier to hit the orange one once you notice the pattern:
It flashes twice on a space, moves on to an adjacent space and repeats.

 why not try lemon instead?
lemon has more juice to defeat anything you can imagine in the galaxy.
also the stains on your towel are not as visible as with orange.

just trying...

Just focus on one ball. It will turn orange sooner or later.:innocent:

If it turned once, it is very likely will turn again. But it also almost look like the orange actively avoid you. And even if it show up under you, it's gone so fast that unless you're one of those korean kids that can click 60 times per second you'll never get it that way.
I decided to play the probabilities: the chance for the orange to appear on any ball is like 5-10%. Just don't aim at it, because that's the one place it definitely won't be. Using this "blind fishing", I got 3-4 oranges before giving up.(naturaly it involved getting alot of green/blue/purple balls)

Hope this helps Posted Image

I got 4 oranges in a row once I saw the pattern. Just follow the orange ball and try to anticipate where it may end up next, at the same time keep the rhythm of it's flickering with your mouse index finger, tap (don't press) the LMB (or respective pad button) in time with it till you have the orange ball under you claw, then grab it!

I beat that game twice, actually. Sometimes that little orange ball gets stuck; it stays in one spot and blinks on and off. When that happens, all you have tod is time it right and you can grab it.

I can't beat Shattered Eezo or Relay Defense, though. I just can't last long enough to get the top score. It seems a bit much just to get 1 weapon mod for each of those games.

The claw game is easy, all you have to do is go to a square next to one where the golden one appears, when it appears on it again move over and grab as soon as it appears again (it is always golden->not-golden->golden->moves away), you do not have to be at the center of the square to successfully grab it (it appears to be impossible to get nothing).

Shattered Eezo is simple once you realize how to do it.
As someone already said you have to block until you opponent charges up, then attack as long as he keeps charging up, back to block afterwards and repeat.

Relay Defence is the worst, at some point the delay between spawn and shot of the enemies gets so short, they will almost inevitably deal damage.
Launch ships whenever it is possible to get them to the relay, may need some practice.

I'm curious is there by chance a list somewhere of rewards? The weapon mods aren't worth it for me so the other two games will be getting ignored, and I'd like o know if the claw game is even worth my time. I'm really only interested in additional housing items.

I followed this advice and managed to get all 4 mods in 7 attempts. The rhythm really helps out as you manage to pick up the ball the second time it flashes orange.

Thanks! ^_^

There are about 10-15 additional songs for the stereo in your apartment by getting green and blue balls. Getting a purple ball gives you a Volus plushie.

4 Orange Balls give you 4 mods. Otherwise, it's credits you get.

It is flickering so fast that I can't see how you can spot a pattern... Flickering should be a tad slower really it's ridiculous.

My trick is to hover around middle force it into a corner and be quick when it moves to next spot it will alternate between that new spot and last one twice. Trick is to wait for it to alternate between two spots close to your pointer and you have until second repeat before moves on again. Can't wait for light to pop on either have to click it shortly after light goes out on other one it is alternating between. It is very hard though.

Btw whats the deal with that tower of hanoi game? I am quite good at it normally in games that use such as puzzles like point and click adventure games use it from time to time. Why does my Shepard just say "Erm no...". Why did Bioware put it in there if I can't play it... :'(

ME1/KOTOR etc easter egg. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't include it its over use in games means I'm good at it I could have topped that scorebaord easily. :(

Thanks for the tips about the claw game I'll give it a go.
