I let Brooks live though, killing her would've been too merciful.

My first thought was, clone!Shep had the same memories of Shepard from the time of ME1, but no later stuff. That's why I thought that poor guy was going back and looking at his friends and, obviously, his LI (Ashley in my case). Since she was part of my squad in that scene, that idea felt legit.
Well, I reviewed that situation later and watched a vid on youtube as well: clone!Shep doesn't have memories at all of Shepard. Which makes my idea obsolete. Still - that poor guy. I still feel bad for him.

I did as well, she looks at Brooks for help, who then just walks off. I wanted to actually save her, though I don't know what they could do after...you saved her. She disappears?

Or that.
Edit: we talking about Brooks or the clone. I know Brooks is arrested, but I guess the clone would be as well.

Obviously there was this whole thing about cloneshep being pushed to take Shepard's place, repeatedly feeling inadequate and having only one person to rely on, who ends up just betraying her.
I also kinda thought "wait, is that it?" Yeah I know, the Citadel is a largely tongue in cheek fan service romp which isn't meant to be consistent or meaningful, but I really don't see why there couldn't have been some amount of depth where the clone was concerned.

but we're supposed to BE shep, how can a clone shep be if not us? That confused me, even IF cloned, the association was lost in a way, between the US shep and the WHOEVER cloned shep...
I felt like someone literally punched me in the head when that 'came to light' of day...as the basis of the DLC.
Then to top it off, the dumbshepclwon commits suicide instead of remaining around? That couldn't even be a cloned shepard. Genes have more power on a personality than that..unless it were 'altered' in some fashion, but that's never explored. (We're to buy into the girly girl to indoctrinated cloneshep, bent on control of the universe as it knows it.. Nah, never happen..)

Just awesome cutscene-fights! I play as a Vanguard, so it was really cool!
I wanted the crew to stop me before I kicked him out of my ship so that they could deliver their own one-liners! Like, Garrus kneels over and says, "Looks like your flights been CANCELED!" and Tali says, "Don't forget to write/Wright" (lol, human history pun).
Joker gets on the line, "Time to spread those wings, flyboy!" Another bursts into the bay but is hushed when the clone shepard remains to be seen. "Aww, I had a good one, why'd you-"
Shepard turns away, "I didn't. He let himself go."

I think it was kinder to kill her because theoretically, if she had survived, she would have lived in the real Shepard's shadow all her life. That's no way to live.
Besides, she threatened Tali. I couldn't just let that go

If Mordin was still with us, he'd have said something like, "Human evolution- no wings...your survivability....Problematic."

heck, legion threatens Tali.. dating threatened Tali...
the keyword is 'survival' and what is Shep the best at? Even picked to save the MEU because of?...
The DLClone was to 'unplug' The Shepard conundrum in the extraMEU...(here on old earth

Not necessarily. They would be in Shepard's shadow in the same sense that Shepard's crew is in his/her shadow, and the crew isn't seen like that. Brooks (as much a backstabbing liar she is) even says that the Normandy and her crew are legends in the galaxy.
The Shepard clone would have a lot to contribute. I know my own Shepard would share in the glory wih him.
