My very first reaction to finding out I had a clone was "Well, f*ck you clone." I guess it was the educated guess that he was going to be an arse trying to take my place. Granted I didn't say I would mount his head on my wall like Renegade Shep, but maybe I should have been nicer...
Still deserved to be a mess on that window in the Wards for touching my hamster, though.

Pre-mortem one-liners are the best!!!
If Mordin was still with us, he'd have said something like, "Human evolution- no wings...your survivability....Problematic."
[/quote]
actually I was being sacastic.. sorry..lol
If the catalyst were meant to fly, the Leviathan would of been created with wings...they'll be back..

It was made for spare parts, then spent three years training to be the ultimate racist hero who was capable of replacing Shepard. It wasn't even needed for its first purpose, and it utterly failed in its second. If it loved it would only to be the real Shep's little double. I think it would be worse then being part of the crew.o Ventus wrote...

Not necessarily. They would be in Shepard's shadow in the same sense that Shepard's crew is in his/her shadow, and the crew isn't seen like that. Brooks (as much a backstabbing liar she is) even says that the Normandy and her crew are legends in the galaxy.
The Shepard clone would have a lot to contribute. I know my own Shepard would share in the glory wih him.

I'll be messed up in the head. I was pissed that I couldn't save the clone. It would have been cool for Shepard to have a "sibling".

Brooks on the other hand, **** was so smug when I got trapped in that vault. She forgot that no one messes with Harbinger Shepard.
Long story short, Javik fired her out of the airlock.

The clone isn't even a year old.
The clone behaves like that because it was being manipulated by Brooks.
It wouldn't be Shepard's double. It would be Shepard, only now twice over.

actually the age of a clone is based on inception date, and it's incubation period. Grunt was more by genetics than what it's mentor/medical crew invisioned for it/him...
the genes were there, as Shepclwone was caparitive to Shep other than motive, but his intellect was intact. As originalshep was after resurrection..
of course they could of altered codes'n stuff genetically, but that could alter Shepclwone to the point it couldn't function for mental reasons, as it alread appears insane. That in of it's self ruins the viablity of character. imho

But it isn't. Clones are distinctly different from identical twins. Identical twins don't even share identical genetics. A clone of me would share my genetics as well as my tastes and interest (unless otherwise conditioned).
A clone is a direct copy.

Identical twins are NOT clones..
Clones are created from DNA. The new being has the same exact DNA as the original. Twins are the same exact genetic composition, but accidentally got doubled. Theoretically, they are the same. Realistically, they aren't.

Genetically speaking, yes, they are. There would be no difference between a pair of monozygotic humans and a pair of cloned doubles.Wayning_Star wrote...

But that wasn't my point. The point is that having identical genes does not make you interchangeable with another person, especially if you have radically different life experiences and formative environments.

That's the exact same thing I groaned about the first time I played it.
Right out of The Mummy Returns, no less.
I hated the clone story enough as it was without it ending like that.

Actually, it depends. MZ twins aren't always technical duplicates of one another due to TTTS, differences in mtDNA, and uneven distribution during separation. They may further differ if there are insertions in one (or both) genomes because of viral or bacterial vectors. They're only completely "identical" for practicality's sake.Calibrations Expert wrote...

On the other hand, genes can only determine proclivities. Two people, even if they are exact copies of each other, will not have identical personalities even if raised in identical environments.
