I did feel bad for the clone, having only half an identity.

But it is so satisfying knowing that Brooks will be sitting in jail the rest of her life...she seemed rather young and could live a long time...It's going to be a really long sentence for her...because when the war's over and everyone can get back to their own lives...

Yes, I was incredibly sad when the clone didn't want to be saved. I wanted to have an evil clone buddy as a squadmate and LI. :crying:

Well, I reviewed that situation later and watched a vid on youtube as well: clone!Shep doesn't have memories at all of Shepard. Which makes my idea obsolete. Still - that poor guy. I still feel bad for him.

Ah, but he does! That's the plaque that gets put up (or not quite by an LI, who feels a tinge of sadness for him). RealShep is therefore alive and kicking so that's OK now. So, people, the Citadel DLC did change the endings after all!

i think shepard could have made the clone understand that working togheter may have been awesome but it had other plans like killing herself

I did. I tried to save her, but she committed suicide instead. Imagine if we could save the clone... a new squad mate, maybe? The clone just needed a hug and some friends :(

Edit: I wonder how the story changes if you play as a complete renegade Shep who's a total b**** to the squad and crew.  Do they pull a Brooks and leave her/him to die? :P

Certainly.

He was manipulated by Brooks every moment of his short life, and then abandoned when he needed her most. All the more tragic because I don't believe the clone was irredeemable, we just never got the chance.

Not in the slightest; the clone completely deserved what he/she got.

One of the voices inside my head is saying that the clone was not a "moral agent" :? Whole DLC was ridicilous from start to end. And I loved it, all those flashbacks from ME1 and 2.

Considering the clone was basically a blank slate who was manipulated and indoctrinated (in the psychological sense, not the Cerberus induction day sense) I do feel sympathetic toward him/her. Brooks is the true "big bad" here.

I remember the clones one line about his and Shepard's hand print and that for me made me truly understand the tragedy of his character. Even if he didn't realize it at the time.

"You know the one thing they can't duplicate? Our handprint. Life gives it it's shape. not DNA."

That is it in a nutshell. Without the experiences and the people that clone would only be a shadow of Shepard. Not the real one. And it couldn't live with that.

Clone Shepard said he would of left Kaidan on virmire and Kill Tali by coughing on her....
No i don't feel bad at all... Stomping on his hands to make him fall felt like the best murdering scene ever.... (anyone sense the sarcasm)

oh and brooks. Liked her. then didn't, I let her live on my Paragon PT and then gladly shot her in the back like she did me (not literally like i did... heh heh heh) on my Renegade PT

Nope clone shep is like a highly trained parrot. Really wanted to execute him rather than dropping him off Normandy, especially given the amount of troll threads his non certain death will evoke.

Hard to feel bad for a complete xenophobe who tried to kill me three times over, shut down an awesome sushi joint (so I hear), and someone too stupid to wear armor that would improve their already potent strength. So I kicked him in the face and told him to get the **** off my ship like I really wanted to do.

Then theres Brooks and her superior bull****. That in its own right deserved a bullet and very ignoble death worthy of jokes from the entire crew.

lol, same exact thing went through my head first time I played that scene  XD

I think my personal opinions on the clone were actually shaped by whether my character was paragon or renegade.  In my paragon playthrough, I totally got that Brooks had been manipulating him, and playing with their emotions in order to exact some sort of petty revenge on Shepard (and I suppose, by extension, TIM) for the Collector Base mission.  That was the point where she became disillusioned with Cerberus, and sought to rectify her involvement with the mission, by killing Shepard, and replacing him with a clone that would be more in line with her ideologies.

With my renegade FemShep, however, I was distracted by the clone being all "Oh, I'm much harder than you'll ever be."  I just wanted to be like "****, I'm wearing Defender armor.  I'm a full foot taller than you.  I will end you."  After this, I thoroughly enjoyed beating the clone senseless, and completely forgot she had any sort of emotional depth to her.  :D

Hence why I didn't like the story, as soon as I found it was a clone it was Mummy return all over. ALthough with a clone involved is even more weird.

Did I feel sorry for the clone?

Ah well, you know...idk, Man.

Not really. It had to go. If for nothing else the Creepy Factor. And it tried to kill me. Repeatedly.

Brookes? Well, I just shoot her. Everytime. I can't help myself. Besides, she's dangerous. And she tried to kill me. Repeatedly.

I can't have her running amok. Which is really too bad. I liked her before...

Honestly, the guy tried to kill Shepard AND his squad repeatedly. Up until those last few seconds, he showed NO remorse for his actions. No attempts at peace, no regrets, NOTHING! His sole purpose was to eclipse Shepard and steal what Shepard had earned... in the middle of a war, no less.

Is Clone-Shep's identity crisis and realization that he chose the wrong allies at the VERY end enough for my Shepard to want to save him? Not really, no. He chose his path and his path ended in death...

Though, I wish that the renegade choice wasn't so... cruel. My Shepard would've let fate decide the clone's fate.

Anyone else picture the scene from The Mummy Returns where Whats-her-face abandons Imhotep at the end when Brookes abandoned the clone?

I do feel bad for him because he's literally a nobody and a somebody at the same time he's shep look wise but thats were it ends it would be like me trying to be my sister knowing her name a few people in her life and that's it then I have to fool everybody who would be associated with her if I abandon her friends I still have to convince her boss I'm her, her co workers clone shep had his work cut out for him even if he just killed off all of shep's friends.

I agree with the comment he acts like a younger brother whose pissed that his elder one gets all the families love and attention and he's just that kid they all wish wasn't there but then again clone shep also tried to kill me to become me and so I don't feel bad one bit kicking him off my ship and even though my first playthrough I convinced Brooks not to do anything stupid killing her my second time was totally worth it and it guarantees clone shep's cult is dead.

But that still leaves the whole loop whole of TIM what he knew, why he kept clone shep alive, Miranda and is she telling the truth she knew nothing of clone shep's existence, and Wilson did he know and was he killed to keep it away from real shep? Though 2 out of the 3 are dead and sometimes all 3 can be dead so I don't think I'm going to get my questions answered again.
