Looking back, they really should have made all weapons and all mods available both in stores and in missions, so you can buy the weapons/mods you want very early, then pick up the rest as play the game. Or better yet, just have everything only available in stores. There are some weapons I just do not bother using since you get them so late (Saber and Falcon for example) that it is just not worth it to use. I have not played NG+, just too many imports to bother.Kronner wrote...
I also modded Coalesced.bin to make all weapons I like (so pretty much Claymore and Javelin lol) available in Spectre shop, so I do not have to play NG+/wait until Tuchanka/Quarians to enjoy these weapons.

Back on topic, gotta dust out my Jav. Have a NG+ on Infiltrator Insanity, right now sporting a Harrier X for the LOL but would switch to Jav.

Wait, did they change SP fe and CE mechanism to MP one? I am in the middle of a Engineer ME2 play through. It would beat biotics if fe/very is everywhere.

ce = cryo explosion?
The fire explosion change made it into single player.
The Cryo Explosion change did not make it into single player.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're talking about or if there are additional changes, but with the latest patch cryo explosions can be activated without the targets health bar being completely drained, as it was before the patch.RedCaesar97 wrote...

I am not sure I extensively tested it, but I don't think you can chain detonate CE's with Amplified Concussive shot as you can with FE's...Loki_344 wrote...

Maybe that is because you have to have a fully frozen target to get the CE, and you still aren't getting them on Chilled targets (Snap Freeze is bugged and sets those up in MP).

No, you cannot chain cryo explosions, but I think Loki_344 was referring to the cryo explosion changes in multiplayer, namely that you can detonate a cryo explosion without needing to kill the enemy first with the detonating power.
Last time I tested in single player, the enemy must be killed by the detonating power for the cryo explosion to occur, unlike in multiplayer where the cryo explosion can occur without killing the enemy first.

How do you do that without corrupting your save? I want to mark my ME2 import as a NG+ so I can just buy weapons up to level X. The ony way I know of is plot > plot > known varibles, but it always corrupts my save.capn233 wrote...
There is little point to NG+ since you can hit Level 60 without all the DLC starting at Level 1. High level weapons are nice... so I am probably going to just import and check the NG+ bit in save editor from here on out.

I don't edit the import, I edit the ME3 save after I am in the Prologue or on Mars.DJCS wrote...

I have even edited it in the middle of the game without a problem. You just start picking up Level 3 weapons instead of Level 1. And it costs a lot to upgrade to X from III.

Yeah I didn't mean editing the import. Are you saying you just edited the level of the weapons to two, before you unlocked them? Or did you actually change it to NG+ with no issues?capn233 wrote...

Hmmm... Looks like I'm restarting another infil playthrough then. Always was annoyed that I can't oneshot things without ED which was clunky.
The enemy you go up against sure gets to one-shot YOU though. Annoying. The Raptor, WORST damn "sniper" rifle in existence (OK, incisor and indra are close or tied...so weak). It should actually be an assault rifle. The Cerberus snipers supposedly use the Raptor and ONE shot nearly wastes you but if you pop even a regular Cerberus soldier in the head with one...takes multiple shots to take 'em down. Weak tea. I want the Raptor the Cerberus snipers get to use...what is it, a Raptor XX or something?

I do not edit anything other than setting the game state to NG+. I have never had an issue. Actually I have never had any issue whatsoever with save editor.DJCS wrote...

It feels like you can only OSK in the DLC. In Armax I could drop a Marauder/Centurion in one shot, but during Cerberus Headquarters and Earth It always took 2 shots.Anfauglith5 wrote...
I seem to be able to OSK centurion with a body-shot Black Widow V (on an Insane Infiltrator game, but without ammo). It's just me, or the last patch just bugged the enemies' gate ?

Edit : tested ingame, it's true

With it on, but that should only make it harder to OSk in Armax. I'm a lvl 60 Infiltrator on Insanity with full weapon damage on Cloak, passive, and Disruptor Ammo.capn233 wrote...

Armax:
All multipliers on except player damage, and one shot shields.
I used a lvl 5 Valiant with lvl 3 concentration and extended barrel.
I was able to OSK Centurions, Nemesis, Marauders, and Rocket Troopers.
Geth Hunters and Collector Captains took 2 shots. The first took away the shields and most of their health.
Cerberus Headquarters and Earth:
I used a lvl 5 Black Widow with lvl 3 concentration and extended barrel.
Centurions, Nemesis, and Marauders always took 2 shots. Even if I weakened the shields first, it would always take 2 shots unless I strip the shields completely.

Woah, woah, woah Have you even tried the Indra post-patch? That's an S-tier Infiltrator weapon if there ever was one. Sick infantry-killing dps with constant headshots, almost-perfect accuracy which doesn't degrade while firing, generous spare ammo and mag size, quick reload, super-light (matters less for cloak, but more if you use powers outside of cloak).
Indra be gud now. Don't underestimate it.

Anyway, is any of the Soldier's weapon bonuses in its Combat Mastery passive talent tree multiplicative? I figure that since the Soldier can get up to 108% shield damage on Disruptor Ammo when using Fortification + Weapon Mastery evolution in its passive, it may also be able to one-shot shielded enemies provided its passive weapon bonuses are multiplicative.
Ignoring the weapon damage for a moment, 108% shield damage with a Javelin X on a Soldier will mean 1668 damage, not enough to one-shot shielded enemies as per Athenau's original post in this topic.
But if any of that passive weapon damage is multiplicative, would that be enough to one-shot most shielded enemies? Or is that the exclusive domain of Infiltrators?

However, I do not think that any are. Infiltrator's only bonus that is "multiplicative" in passive is the last rank Sniper Rifle damage (which modifies base damage directly and indirectly increases ammo damage as a result).
Vanguard actually has a similar looking evolution for Shotgun Damage, which I think might end up being a dynamic/multiplicative as well, but I am not sure if it has been tested, and is a supposition on my part.
Getting back to Combat Mastery, I don't think any of them actually are. Headshot damage is definitely an additive bonus. Weapon Master probably isn't, and that is probably why they gave it the 40% bonus ammo damage.
I suppose it would be worth testing. However, it would be nice to have memory tools instead of the eyeball test.
