Things like this happen all the time with everyone. You left the most important part of my post, it's human nature to make mistakes.

What was the mistake?  You implied the mistake was leaving a 6/6/6/6/6 character alone so that it was viewable on his public manifest, which is akin to saying his mistake was getting caught spec'ing the character that way.

Or did you mean it was a mistake to spec the character fully into all powers?  Which had to be accomplished by the user, because the glitch doesn't assign the extra points itself.  You would think someone who frequents BSN would know they probably shouldn't max every single power.

There is of course another good point in this thread, which is to say that this is a video game so who cares?  I mostly agree with that sentiment.

But sometimes the drama is more fun than the game.

It's a direct quote from the American Declaration of Independence.  Not too many history buffs on the BSN, I see.

well...any ME3 vet KNOWS for a fact how many skill points you have to spend legit. I too have had the glitch happen (didn't take advantage)...the solution is simple... DO NOT SPEC MORE EVOS THAN THOSE ALLOWED!

I say punishment should be to lower his ops packs to 6 like the rest of us (wiping manifest or banning account would be too harsh as bug IS bioware's fault)

I am disappointed in OP as he/she 100% definitely knew better than to do what they did (not a mistake)
So, OP you have 10 ops packs and a fury spec 6/6/6/6/6?

I don't really care all that much honestly. 6 fitness on a 500/500 character is practically useless on platinum

so why do it?

The former. Try putting yourself in his place. After playing the game so much and getting bored, you thought you want some fun. So you glitch the character and see how it performs. After a while you feel tired and think you'll fix it after some time, thinking no one will notice(this is human nature). Then it slips out of your mind and you get busy for the next few days.

And when you return, you see space magic happened all over..

N7-Link, why did you spec it to 6/6/6/6/6 in the first place?

N7 clan suck. There is no such thing as a best player. Best players lurk in the deep grass. Not run around making videos of crap we see every day.

Made me think of LedZep*.  I'm even more proud to be 'Merican now that I know they were influence by such a historic document.

Now I've reached that age

N7-Link, tell us one thing, which you never answered properly. Why did you assign all illegal points on your fury? You're not a newbie, you frequent bsn, you know about this glitch.

No one is debating whether or not Link is a good player. The fact that took advantage of the glitch & spec'd all points into a character is plain as day and is enough to discredit his "achievements," whether they be legit or not.

Also taking into account the sworn testimony of a Mr. John, Red, Link had also taken advantage of said glitch and was notified beforehand that it was considered a cheat. If that is to be believed, then this would be his second transgression.

In my day, video games mattered, and people were hanged for less. The very first time, it was the first video game championship of 1972, where Adolf Linkinson used a Pongbot to win the world championship title. Just before the hanging, each member of the audience threw either 0 or 1 ping pong ball at him, sending a last message in binary code "Burn in Hell, cheater. Burn in Hell!" This took 14 minutes.
