I know one guy who's glad Link's escapades are eating up the entire BSN news cycle. Or am I the only one who read the Plat Solo HOF thread that started this all?

N7-Link, tell us one thing, which you never answered properly. Why did you assign all illegal points on your fury? You're not a newbie, you frequent bsn, you know about this glitch.

No really, is this really a glitch or an outright hack?  I have not heard of this affecting anything before the retaliation DLC.

Look what happen.

The points must be assigned manually.

One of the ways to get this glitch is promoting and on levels 16-19 you can easily get it, mainly with reckoning characters, but that is if you promote, but here I have a fun fact, Link's N7 rating has been 15000 for a long time, which means he hasn't promoted, which also means he induced the glitch in other way or used a Hack, the glitch is not triggered by accident unless you promote and I've seen his manifest after he got to N7 15k and one of those he had the 6/6/6/6/6 glitch and then he didn't have it, and then had it again, you follow the point?

So yes, the first time Link used 6/6/6/6/6 he told me that he didn't know it was a glitch, I was surprised he didn't know because he was very frecuent here on BSN, but then someone told me that Link was cheating with glitched points and a edited coalesced ( there is not proof about the coalesced stuff ) but I told him that Link was legit and he didn't know about the glitch, but he told me that was recently but he turned the profile to private.

Now, some days ago, someone else sent me a link to Link's manifest and I saw the glitch, it was very dissapointing, Link is a good player no one can deny that, but he knew what he was doing.

I had a conversation with someone who pointed out that the cheating was the reason why Link never showed the build in his solo videos and also ( i checked that myself ) everytime link solo'd his manfiest turned to be hidden.

Until now, I think Link knew what he was doing and I really hope he comes and clear things up, and proves to everyone he's legit and prove haters wrong, but until the evidence speak by itself, he's a cool guy to play with and a great player.

Also, some people say that it doesn't make difference to have more points, well let me tell you that yes, it makes difference when you are a high skilled player.

To the people that is talking rubbish about Link's grammar let me tell you something, he's not an english native speaker, neither I am.

Also let's not make more drama of this, it's not like if he murdered someone :P
We just know that until he proves something against the current evidence we can't take any solo speedrun record very seriously, and that's it, not more, not less, now, let's leave him alone.

The difference is completely negligeable. Not that this makes cheating less of an offense.

You can get 6/6/6/6/6 with the four three characters on every branch. With the fury it's impossible, the earth characters can't be overpowered but resurgence, retaliation, rebellion and reckoning it's possible.

What RedJohn said.

I think the main point is if he is hacking this what else is he hacking?

How is this irrelevant? Did he ever put you into a disadvantage because of this cheating? Did his cheating ever harm you? Why're you acting like this...

We keep records here on the BSN. We do things like soloing in a co-op game, and keep records and compare scores as a way of measuring ourselves against the rest. Without integrity and some sort of code, such metrics are meaningless and those of us interested in knowing where we "stand" in terms of comparative skill do actually get "harmed" by this.

Also, what part of "bannable offense" do you not understand? You are coming off as a Link fanboi.

Yes I saw the evidence of cheating, and that puts N7-Link in the Lance Armstrong category, so I don't care what he posts he could still have modified the ini files.   Is that a fair assumption?   No, but that is what happens when you cheat - it invalidates anything you ever did or will do.

Edit: Oh, you meant Jay.  Well the evidence is kinda he is guilty because he was banned for cheating on another game, so I guess that puts him in the Lance Armstrong Hall as well.

Link can be cheating and, if he put his manifest public, he will reset all his characters with a restart card before show us his powers build. That way there is no way to know if he is glitching or not. Only Bioware can know this info.

Well I think that having more fitness in a character would allow me to play more reckless, that can easily cut 30 seconds of a wave considering that I have max damage output + fitness + all the powers maxed.

I haven't run with 6/6/6/6/6 but I know how I play, if you give me a Krogan Sentinel with 6/6/6/6/6 I would be able to make a noticeable difference.

Let's say 30 seconds per wave ( i bet it would be more )

30*10 = 300/60 = 5, 5 minutes just cutting an average of 30 seconds per wave. of course, this is just an example.

Wait, is this about him using a 6/6/6/6/6 on his Fury? Because that's, to my knowledge, impossible. I was under the impression it only worked with Retaliation/Reckoning characters.

Uh oh. Now that you mention it, wasn't Fury an Earth character? My Earth Characters have never had that bug. I get it all the time, and I just fix it. I hate having the extra points on my Power tree (and the stupid little arrow for the unspent points) so I just get rid of them.

But Earth Characters? That's not a "glitch", that's... something else.

I dont think you understand.. it doesnt matter if its a earth character.. one of the expansions bugged up the characters(ANY), giving them full points and full bars. . (Ie, you had a maxed up character.. and the game somehow gave you extra points)

I remember seeing a Turian with 70 points left, even when he had all filled up slots.

anyway, I still have no idea why this guy had to come to brag about beating platinum solo with the fury.

this is one of the reasons i think people hide their HQ, funny and sad at the same time.

btw using a 66666 build allows a person to take gear or equipment that you normally wouldnt be able to use.
so some of you can argue all day long that 66666 doesnt matter, but deep down you know you are full of it.

but its still just a video game, only thing that gets on my nerves is when people try to act like they are king crap on the forums, when in reality they are just abusing FPS caps or other "deemed unacceptable glitches."

but still, this is entertaining to watch as the op squirms trying to convince people.

Alright, alright. So you're saying you're a Bioware employee aaaand its your duty to ban Link. Oh it's not your duty, it's your right! :TheMoreYouKnow:

And obviously he has done a lot of stuff that you haven't done yet, and he has uploaded a video with a legit build so you can now compare your e-peen to him.

Done yet?

Either abusing glitches isn't a bannable offense anymore or equal treatment doesn't exist.

Throw disabled sync kills on top of that and you are looking at a 100% success rate.

i think accusing/calling someone out for cheating on a public forum because they were banned for an unknown offense in another game is a serious douchebag move.

no surprise tho, really

dude, you don't get it.  When you cheat it invalidates anything you do.  The main value I get out of watching ME3 videos is trying to emulate the gameplay, but if its based on an illegal build then my time was just wasted.  Cheaters never think they will get caught, but they are giving up any respect that they might otherwise deserve.

He already has a video with a legit build, why don't you emulate your experiences with that? I'll buy the popcorn ;)
