So thoughts for those that finished?
Short, but I enjoyed it. The survivor was not who I expected. Also :
Duncans Weapons are pretty beastmode, I also like how they didn't make it all purple like all the other tier 7 weapons.

The weapons and armor were a nice addition but...
What did you think about the notes in Cailan's chest!?
Do you think he was having an affair with Orlesian Empress?

Maybe he's the recurring character in Awakenings.

My theory is that Duncan is who the Archetect is talking to in the Awakenings trailer when he says "so you are the commander of the grey wardens..."
Seriously no is wondering about the implications of Cailan having an affair with Empress Celene?

Loghain was not surprised at Cailain affair. Though he was seriously pissed off.
I was hoping to find Duncan though. But the great thing was how different it felt, firstly going in with my Alistair-romanced warden and then with my future father-in-law. There were completely different reasons for wanting to go back, and very different reactions.
The one thing I didn't like was Wynne and Alistair flirting at the end. It just seemed very out of character for the two of them to flirt that way.

I was surprised by Wynne's reaction to Loghain's outburst. It was like she didn't even care what was in the letter. How would she know so much about Cailan and Anora's marriage anyways? I thought that was quite presumptuous of her.

I think Loghain, or perhaps Anora had found that note and crumpled it, and Cailan re-flattened it... I think Cailan was planning on taking Eamon's advice and leaving Anora for the Empress - would Eamon have sh&t a brick when Cailan was like but you said she was 30 and barren so this is my replacement! LOL
I didn't have Wynne in party yet for the character it was easiest to take there, so no idea about the flirting you speak of :s
I think maybe Duncan went the way of Bregan....

It was very moving. My city elf took along Alistair of course, and he's wearing all of Cailan's armor and the sword/shield.
Duncan's dagger is awesome. Two places to equip runes, I forget the specs, but it's crazy.
At least we now know why Loghain justifies betraying his BEST FRIEND"S son that way. It makes the whole situation more complicated.
I'm going to bring my self to bring Loghain there. That will be interesting . . .

It was okay...I guess a little short. And no body of Duncan to be found, It's a little to weird I mean the darkspawn hate grey wardens you would think they would tie him up also. Not to seem crazy but Duncan may still be alive.

It brings up new questions for me, Did Logan know about Cailian and the Empress and is that why he betrayed the Wardens? I have yet to take Logan there so I will have to see the dialog for that. I just wish there was more party chatter then just Alistair and Wynne, wish Morgan and the others had some lines and comments about it.

the add on was decent. i like how they lowered the price to 400 MS points. one thing im wondering though is about the mabari. i didnt get him the first time, so i was hoping to get him now, but for some reason i can't. i encountered him, and then gave him food and left him alone rather than shooing him away. now i cant even talk to him anymore. anyone know how to get him to join your party?

Maybe try leaving Ostagar and going somewhere entirely different. You get Dog originally on the way to Lothering, after all, as a "random encounter".

The loot was indeed awesome, but, like many others, I'm still wondering about the lack of a body for Duncan.
Suspicious! :|
Or maybe they just like to toy with us.

I had this problem at first too, you have to reload the game, feed him then shoo him away, then he will join you and you get to name himghoststar479 wrote...

While at first my reaction was:
"OH MY GOD CAILAN WAS GOING TO MARRY THE EMPRESS AND THEIR HEIR WOULD UNITE THE KINGDOMS!"
That would surprise me. Sure, they were probably having an affair, but if Cailan was thinking of dropping Anora because she was nearing thirty and there were worries over an heir... an Empress who is at least a decade older than him(she was the "new Empress" meeting with Maric's father way back during The Calling), isn't really going to be the best bet. Especially when she's the ruler of the Empire that occupied your country for... uh... well, however long it was.
As for Loghain: The revelations of Cailan's (likely) affair with Celene I and Eamon pushing for Cailan to get rid of Anora (which he appears to have been aware of) shed some light on the decisions he made... but I didn't expect him to have so much contempt for Cailan. RtO paints Loghain as an individual who utterly loathed Cailan as a man (and still does), even if he had a grudging respect for his position as symbol and King. For the first time, I got the feeling that: "Okay, yeah, maybe Loghain did want Cailan to die all along, even if his sense of duty bid him to "try" - half-heartedly - to keep him away from the front lines". I'm not particularly happy about that and I don't think it jives with his characterisation in the main game, but it is what it is. *Shrug*
As for the items. Cailan's armour set looks nice but is fairly underwhelming... and it's Red Steel.
Maybe it scales, but I was doing this with a level 23 character.
Maric's blade is, baffingly, also Red Steel (<_<) and part of a set with Cailan's shield. The TST references ("Katriel") in the item description aren't there either. Which kinda blows. (That said, the sword has the anti-Darkspawn properties attributed to it in the novels)
Duncans sword and dagger are awesome, at least. Loved the +10 damage vs Dragons, on the dagger, too.
Killing the risen ogre was pretty damn satisfying. Wish it had been harder, though.

Cailan was totally having an affair with the Empress of Orlais.
I liked it, but I didn't think it was worth $5. A few snippets of dialogue and some items. After the delays, I was hoping it would be this great DLC, but it was even shorter than Warden's Keep. :/
