1. Dumping, and thus, humiliating, Loghain's only child.
2. Dumping said daughter for the empress of a country who occupied his home, an enemy he still hates with a passion.
If that's the case, it puts Loghain's motivations and actions, especially concerning Eamon, into a whole new perspective, and makes it REALLY personal.

The one thing I didn't like was Wynne and Alistair flirting at the end. It just seemed very out of character for the two of them to flirt that way.
Warrning---->spoilers
Oh damn that was odd :s and I got some feeling that they talked all the time like that and that Wynne was jumping on him and stuff.. oh jeez how she can be so horny and dirty in place where so many people lost their lifes. I was expecting more emotions and some seriousness from Alistair and Wynne but o.O...
I was dissapointed when I gave to Alistair this ritual chalice (as I remember) expected that he ll start some conversation about my first ritual or atleast some comment and that he ll mention maybe Jory and Daveth whateve and he was just like +5 "Oh is that for meee?!" bla bla...
He even didn't say anything for Duncan and about his swords when we killed that ogre :s Uhm... And funny thing when I entered in Tower of Ishal I thought; Oh no not again to light that damn beacon. Do I ll need to climb up again?
Only thing which I liked was when we honored King Cailan... seemed like my char suffered... just see that look of your char in that cut scene o.O like it is going to cry somehwhere behind the tree
I was hoping tho that those who were in party with me ll talk or discuss maybe about that at camp later but noothiinggg
edit: actaully whole this dlc was soo weeiiird to me >.<
I am sorry tho if I Spoiled too much

It took me less than an hour on Nightmare BUT I was using my epilogue AW/BM alongside a very strong party.
Thankfully, I've just checked via the party chest and Cailan's items, and Maric's blade, all scale up to dragonbone!
Still, I'm sad to see the item description for Maric's blade has changed because the reference to Katriel was a lovely touch.

My theory is that Duncan is who the Archetect is talking to in the Awakenings trailer when he says "so you are the commander of the grey wardens..."
Wrong. He's talking to the PC, as the PC is the new 'Grey Warden Commander' of Ferelden, Though expect to see Duncan again, alive, and with his taint heavily accelerated, as the Architect can use magic to do that to Grey Wardens, involuntarily.

The guy spit on the face of his own honor and his only daughter. King or no, I'd want to kill him. BADLY.

I'm getting the increasing impression that the setting's timeline is still in flux, somewhat....
Vicious: Loghain's hatred of Cailan makes sense in the context of the DLC and the Cailan-Celene affair/marriage thing, sure. I'm just not convinced that it meshes perfectly with what I saw as his more complex feelings towards Cailan in the main game. *Shrug*
Still, it's certainly an interesting plot development and one - on the whole - I think I like. Just, I don't know, I never really got the feeling Loghain *wanted* to leave Cailan to die before. Maybe I was just deluding myself.

Not being harsh, I just think RtO for everyone was kind of really anticipated as a kick ass element to add prior to it's missed release dates, then with the hiccups it almost seemed as though(especially with the quality and superior content, and retain customer loyalty posts from Bioware) that this DLC was going to get us in the mood for paying 40 bucks for Awakening, meaning it'd be awesome and thus any hesitation towards purchasing the expansion in March would wither away. So I think the "bar" was inadvertently set high on RtO.

So I downloaded "Return to Ostagar" and as I was playing I noticed all my specializations were locked again after I had unlocked each one of them for all my characters. Has this happened to anyone else?
Yea, that happened to me too. I assumed it was because they wanted to stop having one character unlock a specialization and all your other characters automatically being able to use it, but it sucks cause I went through the conversations and training on all my characters even though I already had the specials unlocked. Now everything's locked again and I can't redo the conversations, so I'm running around trying to find the books and getting the specials late. Not fun

lol afterall it's duncan narrating the whole story even at it's end, hmmmm. Got a feeling it has something to do with the Architect and what not, they'll probably have some answers in Awakening. But after this DLC, and to be honest I'm not planning on getting the expansion unless a heavy duty patch is released for the 360 "prior" to Awakening. I'll be playing ME2 anyways.
