4 platinum extractions needed - took me, erm 4 games... didn't fail extraction once.

(ironically did fail the 5th time helping a friend with his extractions though - Collectors/London ... wave 10 was unpleasant)

I hit a rhythm sometime on Saturday and knocked out Reapers Plat with one PUG, Cerberus and Geth with another. I was playing a demolisher and there was a Volus in each PUG, so we set up a nice little camp in the box on Rio, but the Krolord and Fury (weird team, right?) were tearing it up and being really aggressive. They only fell back into the box when things got too hot. I'm really impressed by the Demolisher, topped the scoreboard a couple times with her.

I got "lucky" and joined a Plat Collectors on Giant match in wave 7. I tried to help the team but mostly stuck to hiding with my pylon in the control room and picking off stragglers. I got killed and instantly stomped on my way to the LZ, but the extraction counted anyway. Not my proudest moment, but it got the job done.

I'm strictly a Silver player, but I think I may try out Gold from now on. Thanks, Operation Lobster!

I attempted it twice and gave up. It went okay the first time (didn't get past wave 10 though)....the second time, not so much.

Yes, somehow! Pug all the way, although I suspect there were a few BSNers in the lobbies I joined.

First Platinum experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

 Got it done in 5-6 PUGs, most where actually good but some where just disaster. Good weekend

Did Cerberus, Geth and Reapers with friends and we got through them in one try. Collectors on the other hand...let's just say that took more than few times before we finally got them done. Damn possesed abominations and their nuclear death explosions along with possessed Praetorians and their attempts to perform radical facial plastic surgery. But we got them done.

4 games, all friends, all full extractions. 1 Juggernaut, 2 adepts, and Phoenix vanguard all on glacier hazard. Setup asari bubble, with juggs in the middle to stop the bosses, a volus adept shield boosting, and lots and lots of biotic explosions. Worked very well, even on collectors, which we all hate "collectively"

It was super-easy due to calling in my A-Team. My absolute two best friends and best players on my friends list, and then one of them brought in another friend of his to round out the 4th slot (two, actually, as the first friend of his could only stay for one game).

Four games, four full extractions. Made even better because nobody's PS3 froze on Collectors, so we considered that an additional win. LOL

Took two nights, though, due to work schedules. Got 3 done Tuesday night, then got the last one done Wednesday... that last one we did pull in a PUG for the 4th slot. We did fine (not quite as easy-mode as Tuesday night had been) and the PUG needed one more Plat for his, so we nicely stayed and helped him get it.

So, actually, I guess that technically makes it 5 games. I *think* we maybe had full extractions with the PUG, but I honestly can't remember.

i pug it too, all through out the mission time and i dont think we ever failed more than 2 games maybe, in all that time?

i guess people really wanted those comm packs! lol

tbh I think Rio was a perfectly valid tactic for this op. First two extractions I kept the box as my fallback position as I didn't want to be a burden on the team.

Cerberus Rio. We moved around a lot. Slightly annoying as the spawns kept flipping. But oh well.

Nope. Internet/Origin gave me trouble all week. Took me about 13 attempts on Silver before I could finally get a DC-free extraction. Was lucky just to get the normal mode done.

Unfortunately no, I couldn't complete the Insanity objective. I'm okay on the Gold standard but in boss rush modes I'm still not skilled enough to throw enough damage out. My own lack of overall skill combined with that of the random PUGs that I landed with, and of course our illustrious EA and the random server disconnect really made this weekend challenge a ball buster.

I think that quality of PUGs actually increased because of Lodestar. All good players that dislike Platinum and play Gold instead participated.

Had a great time helping people play platinum. Had a few new BSN'rs to play with. Collector freezing became an issue but a friend and I even managed that! Twice!

Completed on first attempt for all four plat runs. PUG too.

Just went for silver on this account though.

Completed with the help of people from the forums, didn't really want to try and pug it.

Was refreshing to come back from nearly 10 months of not playing and have people willing to help and see alot of the changes, made the 4 matches to get it done much more fun

This event has successfully pulled me back into playing ME3

Completed over two days, Monday & Tuesday with PUGs, completed all on the first go, the Collectors went remarkably well and quickly, we had a good team.

I used the fearless Volus Engineer, spamming shield boosts and laying down recon mines speced to debuff.

Let's get paid! (wheeze)

I got lucky and found a gold pug who were friendly enough to go through the factions with me, cool guys and all of them had mics. Unfortunately I was busy most of the weekend so I didn't get a chance to go for the harder mode.

 I did venture further afield before too long. It's simply a useful tool to have available.
