 <- Silver player. 1 game with Mass Rejects, 2 good PUGs, 1 bad collector PUG with me soloing 3 waves in a row and finally dying to 2 beams of doom striking simultaneously and being stomped same moment I fell to ground, 1 worse collector PUG which I managed to solo 8-11 and yes, frag those teammates, I made sole survivor with tank Jug.
During last game I kept in mind BSN mantra: "Jug must shoot, Jug must shoot, shoot, SHOOT!" , so I took Reegar and all L4 consumables (had only 3 of them actually =) ). Used HM to stagger mooks, than break HM animation and kill with gun - much faster than draining. Same with phantoms. With Scions I used right hand advantage and from bugs I ran while killing smaller units to deplete wave budget.
A pity I could not reach Destroyer in time, at least he tried to shoot those whome I was tanking.

6 PUGS. Lost one against the collectors because they're really hard and I haven't played against them that much. Another one I lost because I had a truly terrible team. The rest were OK though.

Got it done in 4/4 pug games np, was surprised how well it went. Started off looking for a U/U/P game, lucky for me, the other people were starting the challenge as well. Figured looking for U/U/P would net me better Plat players.

Did it in six matches, two of which were PuGs. Thanks to Hartelijk for organizing the others (and dragging me through Plat when I clearly have no business being there.)

What's funny to me is that alot of the people bustin balls about the box are the same ones who got there eq farming gwg or abusing the kyrsae. Got disconnected at the end of wave 9 on collector giant but reconnected just in time for extraction Best challenge ever.

Geth took at least 4-5 tries with PUGs

It's a strong tactic! I actually spent a lot of time creeping around the left flank and catching crowds off guard.  Spent most of the game out of the box, tbh. The collectors platinum on giant was nuts, I'm not sure the other 3 players had that strong of a strategy but they made it out alive and I didn't, so that shows what I know.

Think I did it in 5 tries.

This operation was my first time in platinum. At first I tried it as a Ghost with a Harrier. I was melting mobs with it. But when I switched to my Juggernaut and controlled the mobs in a choke point, the game went a lot smoother and easier.

Two people in this thread have busted balls about the idiot box.  One of them is me and I've never used it once.  I also never once farmed W/G/G for what that's worth.  /high-horse

So I'm not really sure where you make this odd connection.  Thou doth protest a bit much, I deem.

Hey good job climbing up a difficultly level.   The first time i tried Gold was way back last Spring during a similar Op where you had to extract on Gold.  I was totally freaked out.  Succeeded, but then hid on Silver for a month before I ventured back up.

I did it in 6 attempts.

5 with PSN Alliance Hazard Force with folks I found in the Gold Lobby chatroom. Quality players there. On the first Collector attempt, we got overrun and all wiped on extraction. The other 4 attempts were successful.

The one non-AHF attempt was a PUG. We wiped on wave 1 if that gives you an idea of the overall quality of the group. There was no team cohesion or seemingly any plan whatsoever. I was the last standing, but after a couple gels it became clear that I was simply wasting consumables.  I usually play Gold and did not feel like essentially soloing Plat was a viable strategy.

Overall, though, I felt good about it.  I hadn't played Platinum in several months, and I totally held my own.  Finished second or third in every match except one (the first one, where I was last but not by too terribly much).  I'll take it.  In fact, I think this convinced me that I can play Platinum more often, provided it's with a team of competent players.

I got mine done with two pugs and two other games with some BSNers. Got cerb and reapers done in the pugs while geth and collectors were with the BSNers.

Did Reapers on Rio just for zero stress. Then I started searching for games just by enemy to beat all the remaining factions. Next up was Geth and it just happened to be on Rio. The randoms I played with were pretty good, we didn't even use the box of shame. I kept finding matches against Cerberus and Collectors on Rio. First few times I stuck around and all of thoses were ending in total failture. I just started looking for Platinum matches on the map Giant with any faction and kept jumping out until I landed in a room with Cerberus or Collector. Was successful on the first try for each on Giant.

4 pugs. Surprised me because I hadn't done platinum before this, but I was lucky to get with some good groups. Took my Claymore Drell Assassin and had lots of fun. I guess he's now my platinum go-to character.

I completed them on Firebase Reactor: Hazard with help from some very capable friends and a few PUGs. I only recently started playing Gold with any regularity so I wasn't sure what to expect; especially with the Collectors. We had 2 Juggernauts, 1 Ghost, and 1 Volus for most of the rounds. I was the Juggernaut. I think we only failed twice; once because the PUG dropped in wave 2.

We got very lucky on Collectors with 2 hacks right at our hold out spot beyond the reactor core. It was almost too easy! LOL

Later I played again on Firebase Glacier and we beat it again. I could get used to this. Especially the credits!

First try.
Of course I was the weakest link during all of those 4 games.

Then I helped a couple others with it only helped 2 people get their 4 games done.
Got introduced to the Plat PUG scene aswell.

I also reaffirmed my stance on plat.

I got lucky with four straight different PUGs on Wednesday.  While I definitetly optimized my chances, I thought it was a pretty easy time.  Quite suprising given that it was my first Plat-PUG experience (I usually just do Plat with friends).  The Hurricane X was icing on the cake.

Then yesterday I got some friends of a friend requests to help out with Collector-Plat and damn if it didn't take four tries to get one success.  The FoFs were 25k+ CP / BotB banner players, but they still couldn't get it done.  I blame most of it on LAG (cuz, lag) and bad device placement, but regardless it was clear that a lot of people were trying and failing.

Anyhow.  Could you do it?  How many tries did it take you?

Only PUGs, mostly good teams.  Against Reapers and collectors, really, there were two insane guys, duking it out at 2 of them when I joined.  They had the characters with the laser mines, so it took care of the Phantoms.

8 tries, including one I quit due to horrible lag.

Got the whole challenge done in about 50 minutes by nuking the spawns in glacier, with friends of course.

I did 4 Platinum PUGs and it wasnt a big deal. Just got in the lobby, asked for a set on whatever I had left and rocked it. Went 4 for 4 on that.
