Yes, first time playing platinium, went with the Asari Valkyrie. Hung around with the obligatory Geth Jugg and destroyed everything that came into view. Done in 6.

Did it with friends. I finished in 5 games, then helped a rotating roster of other friends for another 10 or so games. Wiped 3 times, pretty much all wave 10 devices. Used the TGI, TSent and AJA.

I was pretty much working all weekend and looking after my baby the rest so I had a very limited window to get it done in and I thought for sure that it wouldn't happen.
All attempts bar one were on Giant.
Day 2 first chance, only time for 1 game. My brother and I got Cerberus done with a couple of pugs.
Day 3, again time for 1 game (barely I was a bit late for work). My brother disconnected on wave 9. We got the objective done with 3 of us but wiped after that. So reapers failure.
Day 5 I had time for 2 games. First Reapers we lost someone early and picked up someone else. Died about wave 5 I think. Second attempt I changed to Rio to lure some guys in and left it there. Hate Rio, no room to manuver. We wiped on wave 9 after my brother had to solo wave 8.
At this point with 1 day left I was pretty much ready to just spend the last of my time doing it on Silver.
Day 6, last chance. Enough time for maybe 4 games. So we could fail once. I figure lets try and the first time we fail we just go do Silver (or Gold) to get it done. Back to Giant and we cleared Reapers easily thanks to a Jugs joining us. Those two pugs left and a couple of other joined us. Geth wasn't too bad and then it was Collectors. The same guys stuck with us though changed up characters. I was kind of dreading Collectors because I don't normally even play them on Gold and people had been talking about hard they were on here. Anyway we did pretty well but Collectors Extractions is easily the hardest and we only had a Sole Survivor. Enough for the challenge though.
So bug ups to Bioware for making a top challenge that got me playing Platinum when I normally wouldn't bother and for all the guys that joined me and my brother to get it done.
It was both a ton of fun and highly rewarding. At the end of Day 5 I was feeling pretty low about getting it done but when we finished it I was feeling really high. It was definitely more about the challenge than the promo weapon for me.

I managed to pull it off. Wasn't easy. I got lucky with the reapers. I was thrown into a game in session at wave 8. Cerberus and the geth went pretty swimmingly. The collectors.. Sheezus H. That one took a few tries. Once I'd found the right group of people though we'd pulled it off.

yes, PUGged all 4 games. Played as AIU against Collectors, GJ vs Geth, TGI vs Cerberus and Asari Valkyrie vs Reapers.

Same as you Plat against the Reapers was hard on me. people wanting to play ''I hide in the crate'' on firebase rio did not help at all!
played for at least 4 hours straight and then when all hope was lost I made it with a team that was experienced and balanced...and we made it without a sweat
Anyways good time !

Yep. I searched for a random lobby and I found a very friendly group by pure chance.

4 out of 5 platinum pugs I think. I did 2 out of 2 with randoms, then finished "insanity" with friends, they helped me to get two remaining extractions and after that I helped others. One wipe with randoms was because nobody gelled on wave 7 and I was instakilled.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with random games, quality was really good. 90% used lvl 3-4 consumables, randoms with bad loadouts and no equipment were quickly kicked. I guess, most of the good players migrated to plat from gold during Lodestar, because standard of gold randoms really dropped.
But some of my friends complained that plat randoms were dreadful with tons of Rio lobbies. And I encountered a lot of them too.

I know I couldn't get it done, so I didn't even bother trying
Besides, all that blood, sweat and tears for possibly another Eagle upgrade? No thanks.
It's different if we could actually choose a weapon upgrade as the prize, though. Would be really cool. I'd love a Paladin II.

Played Jugg tank most of the time.
Got Collectors out of the way first, took a few tried to find a good group, definitely the hardest group. Not super aggressive, very powerful, and the Scions can stun-lock you in close quarters.
Reapers was a peace of cake.
Cerberus wasn't too bad, just had issues finding a good team. Once I did though, it was a ton of fun.
Geth was mostly the same as Cerberus, but that first wave of bombers is brutal. I played a Volus that time since we already had a Jugg. We did pretty well, managed our consumables well enough to just Rocket and medigel our way through Wave 10 through extraction. Finished it with just 40 minutes left on the timer.

I did it early on. Wanted to get on and help people during the weekend, but between playing Citadel and other stuff on, didn't have time. Sorry to anyone who added me on Origin for that purpose.

Collectors and Geth were done on Giant with little to no problem.
Cerberus and Reapers I did with randoms on Rio, where we pseudo box of shamed.
Me and the other Juggy were meatshielding for the 2 volus in the first run and in the second we were dropping hex shields everywhere and the crossfire was crazy.

Managed to do it in 4 consecutive PUG matches (stayed with the same lobby for all 4 matches)

Got it in 6 tries -- one failure, and one search for an enemy I'd already beaten: fought Reapers twice.
(Really enjoyed Lodestar. Great challenge.)

Got it done in 5 pug games, with the first being the only failure. Fairly easy since there was at least 1 Juggernaut and since I was rolling an Asari Huntress with a CSR X I pretty much killed everything while the Juggernaut was reviving me if I fell and hex shielding me when doing objectives.

I did Cerberus, Reapers and Geth with Alliance Hazard Force (thanks for helping me out, guys!)
However when we tried collectors we kept getting disconnected or freezing. So after a break I tried to pug the last one. Two failed attempts, and the third got it done quite easily.

Did all four in four games, saved Collectors for last because they're obnoxious.
Well, Scions are, at least.

Got it done on the first night with 5 PUGs. I was surprised just how difficult the Geth turned out to be, they were the only ones we wiped on.
