We need a guaranteed UR pack.

Not all of us want this.
I am not interested in this. The RNG store's packs, with some guaranteed rares but no guaranteed URs, is similar to opening a pack or packs of Magic cards, where a pack of 15 cards guarantees 1 Rare, 3 Uncommons, and 10 Commons, with a chance of a Mythic Rare, and also a chance of a foil card.
There is fun in finding out what you get.

That would be $320 to max all URs... More than my Xbox and this game cost together.
Compare that to the 1500$ that got dropped by a player to max his Wii manifesxt and I think you see where the micro transactions train is going to take you...

That analogy breaks down because there isn't a point, after opening enough magic packs where you stop opening rares (or at least when the value of a rare decreases significantly)

With the average being about 26 million credits for most just to max out reckoning which is about $780 in real cash I'd say micro-transactions are a fools errand. I would not be oppossed to a pack guaranteeing a UR, but it should cost at least 750,000 credits or 800 points to get it.

Its similar but not the same thing. In a pack of Magic cards you can sell individual cards, they can be moved to another deck, they are not limited to one use, multiple cards can be good, and those Foil and Mythic Rare cards can be bought. Also, Magic can be played on both amateur and pro levels to recoup some money spent on cards. Then there is the fact that you are building a collection. Plus, holding a physical item just feels better.
This system has none of that. You cant sell back cards to try again, you cant pick and choose which weapon/character you want, rare cards are one off cards after a certain point and even before that they are meaningless, ooh yay i get to change the lights and colors on my character <_<. Thats a damn arbitrary way to "extend" your game.

For one Magic has a billion times more "items" which are all much more interesting. For two: The Magic equivilent of the ME3 store for people like me would be buying a $50 Magic card pack and only getting cards that disolve upon use (aka IV consumables).

^This.
And you can trade Magic Cards. Can't do that with these. And you can buy individual foil or Mythic Rare cards as well. You can't do that with this store.
I wonder how many packs of Magic cards you'd have to buy to be able to make a well working deck out of it without trading or buying single cards... By that point, you'd be able to open your own store and SELL the single cards you didn't want.

why? there is no point in having ultra rare weapons when everyone is running around with maxed out URs besides it doesnt take long to max out those anyway.
.........? What? Do you use ultra rare guns to feel special that other people don't have them? I want them because they are good/interesting guns, so that's a big point. It obviously takes long since the "accepted norm" seems to be around 800 hours of play. I've spent millions of credits and got maybe 2 UR's and everything else was IV ammo.

you're either lucky or troll, or both
playing average of 2 plat games + 5 gold games per evening and getting nothing for three evenings in a row, is not normal
what exactly are you talking about when saying "it doesnt take long"? a year?

I've only recently started playing magic and my deck consists of what I could scrounge out of a few hundred leftover cards (though I'm happy/proud of what I was able to make), so I don't know what Chaos Orbs are xp.

I like how people think making an expensive pack dedicated to URs somehow undermines the fact that they are "ultra rare," but we have dedicated packs that have 2 guaranteed "rare" cards. Don't use verbiage to justify that argument.
Secondly, how is it unfair to people that played 800+ and maxed their manifest? What's unfair is that I will spend millions and millions of credits and get NOTHING in return.
The UR drop system is currently BS. I've spent more than 13M credits since Reckoning, and still don't have a damned Lancer. Meanwhile, I have seen people with less than 200 challenge points with a Lancer. How is that fair? Did they somehow earn it more that I did? It's BS.

On Topic: While I don't think a UR pack is a good idea, I DO think that those with maxed manifests should have a set chance for their Rare to be a UR when opening PSPs, instead of just giving them consumables, on top of the standard UR chance.
