That was then, this is now. The original endings are a thing of the past. Which is why I said still, if you still don't get it, you're an idiot.

thats extremely dodgy ethics your suggesting here especially in relation to leviathan dlc "foreshadowing" the main plot.
I mean an essentail piece of story line, by your own admission by the way, sold at 10 dollar price (was it 15 can't remember) allows for a by the by argument.

I mean all I see is a terible ending, day one dlc of a prothean (you know the advance mythical race in which the series is based on, secound only to the reapers), and ending dlc that does not make sense with out leviathan and significant leaps of faith.

Am I the only one bothered by this perspective!!

Nope, Bioware has fallen from the awesome devs to the wait and see crowd. It's shoddy, stupid and provocative.

Mine too, but at long as people say that is the reason loud enough and long enough, everyone will just believe that's why fans were upset.

Not by a long shot.

The ending needs so much propping up to even be palatable, its not even funny.  Not one but two DLC's.  One we paid money for, the other we had to fight for.

For it to still have significant problems even after all this life support there has to be something wrong with it.  There's only so many band-aids you can put over a wound before you should admit you need surgery.

If you don't wan't to pay to understand more about the story then don't. But don't come here and complain the ending doesn't make sense because you couldn't be bothered to either read a wikipedia article or pay 10 bucks or watch the ec online.

Are you serious?!
The fact its on a wikipedia article, or online, or torrent, or gifted to us by the great tiger jesus. Does not negate the serious moral questions posed by such a questionable business practice.

Not only you disagree (which is in your rights) but have the nerve, The gall to tell me I cannot complain.
Its a disgrace

Newsflash, DLC is the way of the future. Almost every game these days does it, hell Final Fantasy made you pay for the damn endings. This is hardly unqiue to this series.

The time to take a stance against such business practices has long since passed, it is now a reality. Adapt or futilely whine. Your choice.

Do you know, I have better things to spend 10 bucks on?  Like food, my education, heating?  I should not have to pay for them to explain the main plot.  That is fundamentally not okay.  I have limited funds, I had to save up for a while to be able to afford the base game, DLC's are a luxury.  I do not expect the main plot to be explained in optional content that I can't afford.

If you don't have 10 bucks to spare then you probably shouldn't be spending your money on games in the first place.

I don't intend to excuse BioWare their shoddy writing by buying their cop-out explanatory DLC. F*ck em.

Then there is nothing to discuss with you in regards to the ending as you are willfully ignoring information based on a silly principle.

I'm sorry are you telling me how to spend my hard earned money now?

Somehow its my fault I can't have the full story because I don't want to spend the money on something Bioware should have put in the main game?  I mean nowhere is Bioware at fault for, you know, not putting the logic behind the main antagonists where it belongs?

Its not silly principle. Its the only way customers can provide meaningful feedback on the quality of the product being offered.

Yes. If 10$ is such a big deal for you then you shouldn't be friviously spending your money on games, you've got far better things to spend your hard earned money on.

I'm just playing the devils advocate. DLC is a thing, it is far too late to stop it now. It is only going to get worse.

"just the way it is"

that is just unacceptable
As a consumer you have a RIGHT!!! to complain, I hate to capitalize it, but hopefully it will get through some one.

This whole entitled gamer nonsense (While not mentioned in this thread it has gotten dangerously close), you know the buy it or don't. Acting as if you got no other option, that you must hold your hands up to the great sages of bioware or any company and hopefully some of there fortune will bleed through.

Every consumer has the power beyond just buying it or not (especially when they are 60 dollars in waiting for the 40 dollar dlc), you can complain, you can write to your senator (or congressman for americans :P)
and believe it or not you can even make demands and let every one else in the world know about it.

you can ****ing fight and it doesn't matter if its about the banks forclosing on your homes or video games, or even they put a walnut in your tootsie wrapper.

Currently it is "the way it is", and you can do something about it. And guess what we started with that ending and we said we want no more of this bull****.

and even though that movement has waned (lets face it has)

Let no body anywhere tell you that you do not have a right to complain

I never said you don't have the right to complain about dlc, I said it's stupid to complain about something not maing sense when it totally does.

But by all means, complain about DLC if you feel it will make a difference.
