A bit saddening to see how much hate you can get for simply having a different opinion.
Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the cheesy one-liners and shallow story, either. I was expecting one last adventure with Shepard, but it turned out to be a silly ride with characters that I sometimes couldn't recognise. It was quite a disappointing experience that has no place in the Mass Effect universe (in my opinion). But it's evident that a lot of people enjoyed this brief jump into an alternative universe. Did everyone else just know beforehand that it would be this light-hearted? Maybe I missed an announcement in my attempt to stay clear of spoilers.
There were good things about the DLC too, of course. Don't take me as just a mindless hater. As someone else already mentioned, the casino part was pretty good and tricky towards the end, the retaking of the Normandy was a great setting (too bad it was used in this context), and everything after the clone plot was concluded was mostly good too, often even displaying an impressive amount of work. Unfortunately, for me it was overshadowed by how let-down I felt from the first half.
In short, maybe I wasn't as flexible as the majority, but I never got used to the vastly different mood in this DLC, I never clicked with the explicit sense of humour. I was hoping for a last dive into Mass Effect, not a shallow parody of it. But many people seem to enjoy it, so at least that's a positive thing for ME3 to end on.
Still... don't make the next Mass Effect game like this - my inner role-player doesn't like being strangled for the sake of cheap jokes :-P
