Hell yeah, people were even impressed by how I managed the volus well. Unbelievable

and then you started to smell your greatness?

I started feeling it when I pointlessly ran around the map in the beggining of 2 waves, screaming out that I am Kolobok (A russian tale for children about a spherical shaped bread that escaped from everyone) and no banshee can catch me. THAT WAS AWESOME!

Well... I just go to sleep.

Trust me, you miss a lot of fun :wizard:

Played CoD once while drunk with some buddies...

*sigh*...I lost... EVERYTHING...

Gather your strength, lads, we shall retake what was lost!

With the Reapers out of the way, there's a chance for BioWare to go smaller-scale, remain relatively smart with blunt '80s-esque sci-fi themes, and incorporate a lot more of this humor to achieve a brighter self-referential tone. I hope they take it, because I'd actually play the hell out of that game.

This DLC was tremendous fun and a terrific meta-farewell, once you acclimated to the obvious tongue-in-cheek tone.

Sad to say, but the OMEGA studio (that's how I call it) is more combat orientated, so it is unlikely that we get another "standard of beauty".

A bit saddening to see how much hate you can get for simply having a different opinion.

Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the cheesy one-liners and shallow story, either. I was expecting one last adventure with Shepard, but it turned out to be a silly ride with characters that I sometimes couldn't recognise. It was quite a disappointing experience that has no place in the Mass Effect universe (in my opinion). But it's evident that a lot of people enjoyed this brief jump into an alternative universe. Did everyone else just know beforehand that it would be this light-hearted? Maybe I missed an announcement in my attempt to stay clear of spoilers.

There were good things about the DLC too, of course. Don't take me as just a mindless hater. As someone else already mentioned, the casino part was pretty good and tricky towards the end, the retaking of the Normandy was a great setting (too bad it was used in this context), and everything after the clone plot was concluded was mostly good too, often even displaying an impressive amount of work. Unfortunately, for me it was overshadowed by how let-down I felt from the first half.

In short, maybe I wasn't as flexible as the majority, but I never got used to the vastly different mood in this DLC, I never clicked with the explicit sense of humour. I was hoping for a last dive into Mass Effect, not a shallow parody of it. But many people seem to enjoy it, so at least that's a positive thing for ME3 to end on.

Still... don't make the next Mass Effect game like this - my inner role-player doesn't like being strangled for the sake of cheap jokes :-P

This early in development, and with Citadel this well-received over Omega? I wouldn't rule it out. ^_^

You know, I thought about writing a few paragraphs explaining why and how you're wrong... then, I remembered that everyone is entitled to their own opinion... even if it's wrong.

So, I'm just going to go with what Allan said all those pages ago.

Yeah, I admit it was a pleasant change in tone with the last few pages of spam :P normally I'm not fond of that, but when the preceding posts are so heavily influenced by posters unable to tolerate other view-points, any change is a welcome one.

Still, I wanted to add to the discussion, hopefully have at least a few people see that it's possible to have a good reason for not being in love with the DLC - just like I totally understand why so many people did love it. Maybe it could reduce the amount of posters who'd insult those that don't have undying praise for it. Just maybe.

But if you really don't want serious, I'll shut up now :P
