BioWare, cheese is good. But only on the plate.

You know that this is a way for EAware to tell their fans that they ticker we are childish.
Do you behave like that. Then here have a DLC that is the same childish as you.
EAware: - Its our game so up you'rs.
Actually, it seems to me that the humorous dialogue was a warm fuzzy for the fans because they like us - well, they probably like those of us who have this thing called "a sense of humor" and who aren't bitter, irrational, and/or delusional anyway. But hey, maybe they still like those fans too!
They gave us a DLC that was fun to lighten the mood of an otherwise dark story, along with providing a lot of things we always wanted such as more interaction with our squaddies outside of combat. However, your theory that it was all a part of a dastardly plot by BioWare to make fun of people like you is just SO INCREDIBLY BRILLIANT THAT I DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T REALIZE IT MYSELF! MY GOD...IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!!!!
*sarcasm x infinity*
But I'am a little childish
The DLC was good not great. The went overboard with the jokes just to much not bad to joke just to much, and it still a war going on. But if they had put thoes jokes around the game all of the game it would be more fun.
Given us this ingame and not in an DLC and given us more endings prob most of us fans wouldent be so angry/sad.

I guess my problem was that they went on a joke offensive, trying to force the humour into our faces rather than subtely introduce humour.

Yeah. But I don't take it seriously. That wasn't really my Shepard who said these things.HagarIshay wrote...
At least restore my faith in humanity by admitting "clever doesnt stop a bullet" line is stupid as hell.
I wouldn't want more of all this cheesiness, and I certainly wouldn't want it in any other storytelling game except as it appears here: at the very end of the production cycle, as a light-hearted homage and a goodbye to the characters - and the fans. I wouldn't want more of it, but I love it for what it is.
Having said that, I would've liked to play the R&R part and omit the mission. The R&R part is funny without being as over-the-top cheesy.

And so does everyone else because we sell a sh-- ton of it.
Also as soon as joker's reaction to the first combat scene was whining about how I used him as bait I realized what I was in for. The vast majority of jokes were IC for who they came from and I loved it. The opportunity to grow with the characters outside of a war was great.
It wouldn't be a character driven DLC without really giving the characters a chance to express themselves.
Mission accomplished.
