BioWare, cheese is good. But only on the plate.

That whole scene was completely intentional. Including the way Shepard obsesses about how he says "I should go". Pure self-referential humour.AlexMBrennan wrote...
I'm pretty sure the over-the-top cheesy dialogue was intentional, much like self-referential humour in LotSB (omni-gel?). Also, this:Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe...maybe. I have yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet.

I loved the cheese. It was pure camp and I was in stitches the entire time I played it. I loved it and feel they really hit the ball out of the park with Citadel.
Agreed.

Cheesy lines are cheesy BioWare. Please don't use them in any future game.
Don't worry, please.
Any story can have a little portion of humor. I believe there is nothing bad in this. Mass Effect Trilogy doesn't have too much humor. It has quite enough of it, I think.

Bioware is like some girl you use to like but ever since she did something stupid that was out of line she has been trying to win you back.
Now she is showing all(everything is on table) in an attempt.
Some people with few more morals may fine that appealing, on the other hand I have principles.

I thought Bioware did an excellent job giving us a DLC that wasn't so bleak and serious. Mass Effect 3 struggled to find the balance, and the DLC covered it 10 fold. Coming from someone who enjoys friendship themes, and the DLC was a massive DLC about friendship and camaraderie, I loved every second of it.
I won't say things like "you don't know how to have fun" but at this stage if you can't enjoy the light hearted nature of the DLC, a celebration of the ME characters and the spirit of Commander Shepard, then I'm not sure what you've been playing Mass Effect for all these years for.
Well spoken!!

Really, the DLC gets that much love? Personally I thought it was pretty medicore. Esspecially the Clone plot. The cheesy lines were not even my major problem (although it certaintly didnt help).
But you know, to each his own and all that stuff.
That's a different tone to your original post, Hagarlshay. The negative feedback might be been more constructive if you didn't use the word "pathetic" in your initial response.

The real problem is when the stupid cheesy lines are at moments that you're supposed to take seriously. Like "You're just a machine, and machines can be broken" back in ME1.

Cheese trying to be totally serious is the worst kind of cheese. Especially when said cheese is auto-dialogue. Many a shoe were thrown at the screen, let me tell you.
