No no, I mean they share the same armor. and body. Literally. The only difference is the color of their skin and armor, and face of course.

From the neck down they are carbon copies. Their armor are the same, Liara is white, Ash is dark blue. Same for the rest.

I don't think so.  Liara has a back flap thing on her waist area but no front to it.  Ash does.  Aside from artistic design though that might be all the difference.

But like I said I think it's the color.  Ash is in dark blue and you can't see her breasts as well as the white in Liaras.

....but I want to stop talking about this, lol....I feel sorta pervish.

Your thinking dirty, i'm only poiinting out the devs got lazy and simply copy pasted the same things onto both. Except for armor color and face they are twins. Even more so than Miranda and...ummm w.e the other name is.

Now that I think about it... why is Miranda's sister her "twin"... she doens't look the same. I thought the sis was a twin sis.

They could be fraternal twins. Twins don't necessarily have to look the same.

Huh... didn't know there were anything... but lookalike twins. My bad then.

EDIT:

NVM, wiki states they are sisters, but never mentions the word "twin" I must have made a mistake.  Thought Miranda said twin...

If you look under Miranda Lawson's wiki, it was stated that Oriana was her twin. I think it was just a case where 2 eggs were fertilized by 2 different sperm cells which resulted in 2 different zygotes. In these cases, the twins usually won't be identical. It was true in Miranda's cases since they are technically twins, but Oriana was fertilized when Miranda was a teenager, so they weren't made at the same time.

I know we all like saying who our LIs are, but what made you decide who you'd pair your Shepard with? Were they the most attractive to you? Was it more of a role playing decision? Does the LI fit your Shepard's story/sensibilities/headcanon?

Several factors helped make "my decision";
- I don't like Mark Meer's representation of shepard, so i play femshep.
- I play the femshep with my own preferences, being male i prefer women.
- I used a single play file from 1-3 for my main.
- There is only one female (ish) LI for Femshep in ME1.
- There is only one female (ish) LI that covers 3 games.

So in the end, I "chose" Liara.

If I had it my way I would have gone for Jack. Was kinda boxed in on the LI front.

Before ME2 Laria and Ash were equal for me but found the change from awkward archeologist to information broker/creepy stalker to be off putting. It was the same for Ash in ME3, what they did to her looks and personality was just as off putting.

In ME3 Kaidian and Steve were appealing but I never felt like they clicked with any of my Shepards. In the end most of saves have romanced Jack and I find myself happy with the direction she has taken in ME2 and 3 and her part in the Citadel DLC was a perfect fit.

To me Jack has a great look both a very pretty face and tattoos, I love tattoos. Her personality compliments the way I like to play most of my Shepards.

My Male Shepard(s) LI is Miranda because she the perfect woman. Plus she didn't put a mind control chip inside of my Shepard. I

My Female Shepard(s) LI are Thane (Drells are just awesome) or Traynor (I could listen to her talk all day long.) ..

.... doesn't that mean they are half sisters then? why would they be considered anywhere as twins?

I romance Liara every time because she just ticks all the boxes. She is sensitive and sweet, sexy, intelligent, considerate, powerful, capable, attentive, gorgeous, loyal, committed, straight-forward about what she wants, funny... The fact that she actually cared enough to recover Shepard after her death was a massive deal in my eyes and just justified my decision all the more.

I like that she is not human and brings something different to the relationship. I adore the idea of meeting minds in melds, so this just adds to the interest. She's been with Shepard since the beginning and I just think it makes sense for them to be together. :)

ACtually that is THE one part that I try to ignore.

ALL males, have secrets. And I sure as hell wouldn't want Liara knowing some of my thoughts. Just some things aren't meant to be shared :P

They never explained how deep mind melding goes?...

Yep, they're twins, but its through their genetic make up, not identical or fraternal; she brings this up in her loyalty mission. I think it was a case of, "I must have a perfect child to take after me without going through the trouble of finding a wife.  Oh look, science!" with her father's motivations.

Idea is not so bad. Perfection is imperfection :P

having a kid without the wife issue is appealing however now that you put it that way.

I feel bad...:P

I'm always impressed by people who have deeply thought out RP reasons for their choices or who make the same choices on multiple playthroughs.  Mine are always pretty much just curiosity "I wonder what the content is like for this one..."  So along those lines mine were:

Ashley/Tali/Tali
Liara/Tali/Liara
None/None/Liara
None/Jack/Kaidan
Ashley/Miranda/Cortez
None/Jack/Jack
Liara/Miranda/Kaidan

I actually thought they were all decent.  Even though there was virtually no content for Jack in 3, I thought what little was there was pretty well-done  And eventually I'll finish a femShep run, just to see what those are like.

They never explained how deep mind melding goes?...

Heh, that's totally something they need to never share - it's not something that's every going to have an answer that doesn't make someone unhappy!

Yeah...all males have their ...secrets. Like the government thinking of making a list tracking your google searches. That is sometimes what mind melding reminds of and ...no...just no. :P

I actually planed on on my first run though the trilogy to romance Liara because she was interesting, and she was the daughter of one of your enemies. After spending more time talking and having Tali on my squad I told, Liara and Williams to just stay friends and then romanced Tali in the second and third game without straying.

Maybe I'm a sucker for an intelligent girl who understands useful things, such as how to make a ship go faster than light, or hacking a geth. Her personality was the main draw, she was self-reliant but not afraid to ask help. The initial meeting with her was her trying to do the right thing and warn everyone about a rogue specter. So she has selfless qualities that only improved when around a paragon Shepard. Most of what she did was for others, mainly her people but still others. Plus I felt that you had to get over her shyness before the romance would begin.

It shocked me that siding with the Geth happened 37% of the time and the quatrains only 24%. But I think the geth were the paragon choice.  It makes me sad that she lives only 63% of the time, it should be at least over 80% in my opinion.  I find it interesting that she dies 37% of the time and 64% of players never meet wrex.

Jack would have been my second choice, she showed a lot of heart with the kids that were being trained as biotics.

I know there are alot of Miranda fans and I could not stand her. Jack said it best that Miranda was a cheerleader. Miranda did nothing but brag and complain at the same time. Whenever she talked about anything it was actually about herself, all the time and then for fun she had major daddy issues.

I choose Tali

reasons why
1 Ashley is racist
2 frankly I don't like Liara, Bioware's little pet that much
3 Miranda too perfect for my liking as perfection is impossible to get
4 Kelly not a fan of redheads

Diana was a reporter , they're jackals and Jack was someone who I felt would be someone who would kiss you one minute and bite your head off the next. Very unpredictable and also had anger issues.

Not to sound like a dick, but she isn't perfect. Not nearly so. She says herself in both ME2 and 3.

I think the fact that she can fail (and has acknowledged her failures) undermines the whole "perfection" angle. She's genetically "perfect" in that she's physically stronger and smarter than other people, but she's just as fallible as anyone else.

I seen inner aspects of myself in Jack and the way Jack was written really vibed with me, compared to the other characters, it fit my Shepard very well.

Although I like the romance content in BioWare games, I never really have a canon LI. Sometimes I pick Liara, sometimes Garrus, sometimes Traynor. Why I pick them during a particular playthrough is mostly random, but of course I do have my reasons for taking a liking to them.

My reason for hooking up with Garrus is pretty much the same reason as they have in the game: why the hell not? I heard his content was good and he's one of my favorite characters, so it made sense to go for him. I'm not attracted to men, but that has never an issue for me. I also romanced Alistair in DA:O for example, and I thought he was great. So anyway, in Garrus' case I just thought: what does it matter, let's just do this and we will see where we'll end up.

My initial reasons for romancing Traynor, I admit, were much more banal. She's attractive, my FemSheps tend to be be attractive... yeah, you probably get where I'm going with this.

Probably also part of the reason why I romanced Liara in ME1. I wanted to romance someone and I thought Kaidan was boring. So that left me with Liara, a cute member of an entire species of hot, blue space babes. What helped, I think, is that she reminded me of Mission Vao from KotoR, who I admit I had a bit of a thing for back when I was a teenager myself.

I don't play as MaleShep, but Jack would be my LI if I did. All other female LI's, Liara excluded, are not my type and I really like Jack's character development. Plus I think her face looks absolutely gorgeous.

Jack's face is realy gorgeous in 3. In 2, I couldn't see past the hair. But they really did something with her in 3.  I'm not attracted to tattoos, but her development as a person really does something. I don't think I'll ever go through a romance with her because I'm really not into the bad girl/boy thing. But I get what you're saying. Also, I'd like to say that it's amazing to see guys who are confident enough in themselves that they can admit that they romanced male companions because it seemed interesting. I totally respect that and find it commendable.

And yeah, Traynor is really attractive too. She's so damned cute that she's problematic. Ah, well.

Definitely one of the first guys I've met though that romanced Alistair and admits to finding it to be well done. I'm definitely a sucker for the Alistair types. If it helps any.. in my opinion, Kaidan is very much an Alistair type. A bit more reserved.. but still! Or maybe the overt humour is the missing component. Oh well.

I must say that Kaidan did get more interesting in ME3. I'm not sure if I see a LI in him, but I might give him a chance someday. Alistair's sense of humour was certainly a plus and it acted as a nice counterweight to his more romantic side, which I'll admit made me cringe somewhat when it became a little bit too much. Luckily he seemed aware of that himself too. I can see why his fans would be into that, though, haha. I've noticed Alistair can be very smooth when he wants to be...

And thanks! I never really got why people are so reluctant to romance someone of the same sex, especially when their player characters are of the opposite sex. But I guess it helps that I don't see myself as the main character. It's like I'm writing a book; I tell my characters what to think, what to do and how to experience and interact with the world around them, but I never become them. So when I'm a female Warden romancing Alistair or a female Shepard romancing Garrus, or even when I would play as MaleShep and romance Cortez or Kaidan, I just see two people in love with each other. What's not to like about that?
