This game is still not good to me.

No, I'm not. I left this game for a few months. But I've seen some cool new stuff so I'm trying to get back into it. And I mostly play the singleplayer part.MaxCrushmore wrote...
Yes, the game is still so not good that a year after release you are still playing it?
huh?

Quite so. But not with ANY weapon. Only weapons that are supposed to be powerful.stinekandts wrote...
One other question. What do you consider fun? I know its a broad question, but it applies here. Is your idea of fun mowing through enemies without much resistance while wielding any weapon?

Already done. I'm now playing more Battlefield 3 and Crysis 3. The devs of those games know what they're doing with multiplayer.LegacyOfTheAsh wrote...

I'm not keen on using consumables. They're usually wasted because I'm still not effective enough at taking down enemies quickly with them in use. Bad teammates as well.ISHYGDDT wrote...
The enemy AI is pretty stupid, which is why they have better guns than we do. Are you using consumables with your guns (assuming you're playing gold and above here)? Almost anything can be made pretty beastly with the right equipment.

There's not much to enjoy when I recieve unwanted items. There could still be a variety of gameplay if items can be bought individually.ToLazy4Name wrote...
Why don't you enjoy the game and all the other stuff it offers instead of getting wound up about not immediately receiving the thing you want the most? Sure, it's a crap system, but it promotes a variety of gameplay.

I say stay if it has entertainment enough for you to care to point out things wrong with it. Don't be simple minded. You raise legitimate points.
The game is very enjoyable, and that is where I will disagree with you. I have spent no real money on the game, and it doesn't bother me that it took a long time to unlock stuff, on account of it gives me something to do and doesn't have to cost real money at all. Still don't have some weapons I'd like to try out, but whatever. If every game were like this, I'd probably have more grief about it. But to me nothing is a better co-op leveller.
Halo: Reach to me is far superior than Halo 4 for the reason you mentioned. The unlocks are cosmetic. And the semi-real military ranks are a far better progression than some stupid SR number. I never wanted to look to Halo to have to unlock stuff so I could actually get a better gun. Still, I play both Reach and 4, and that game is strictly for shooting all the mooks. It doesn't compare one iota in complexity to ME3 MP.

Another problem is the woefully low power of pretty much all weapons in the game. Think about which enemies can kill you quicker than you can kill them. Take into account that there are even more of that enemy plus enemies more powerful than the aforementioned enemy itself. You're probably not gonna survive, even if you're with other people. Unless your weapon can kill twice as fast as all the enemies' weapons except those of boss enemies. Unfortunately, none of the weapons I have can do that in their current status. Its really not fun when I'm shooting enemies with high-power weapons and the health/armour bar is just crawling to 0%. And before anyone tells me to use the Cerberus Harrier or something like that, I don't have any weapons like that. Why's that so? Answer: Read the paragraph above. The simple solution to this would be to decrease health of enemies. And if that would make the game too easy, increase the number of enemies that can be on the ground at once as well.
Use a power class, any Adept. Don't rely on weapons all the time. Having all the weapons you want at level X won't give you the edge you think it will.

That's a mistake.
Consider the following: when I use no consumables the most damage I can get out of a shotgun on a non-weapons platform character is:
(Base Damage)*(1+0.25(HVB)+0.15(Gear)+~0.25(All Weapon Passives))=1.65 Base Damage
While with Warp 3 III and Shotgun Rail Amp III I get another 65% so 2.3x Base Damage
You will be 2.3/1.65=140% as effective with equipment as without.
If you took a weapons class instead such as the GI, with the same level III equipment you can reach 3.9x the base damage. So you would be 236% as effective as in the first case.
In game, this is what makes the difference between killing a boss in 8 seconds and killing one in 20.

You dont need a Harrier or a Geth Prime to do well and get good credits to unlock stuff. A lot of the best classes are Rares and easy to get (Quarian Males for instance or the afformentioned Turian Sentinal) , and there is such a wide variety of Rare guns that are brilliant even at mid level.
And trust me , you would soon get bored of the Harrier , its boring. Dont get me wrong, i see where you are coming from though , the stores % chance on the best stuff is abysmally low , and even then its random, some people spend millions and not get anything. But you dont need it to compete really

What kind of game gives you access to the best weapons and characters immediately? If your characters and weapons are not enough to defeat the enemies, then try a lower level. If you're trying gold or plat with no success, then drop down to silver/bronze. Every character has the ability to succeed in mp.
I prefer to play on gold/platinum to get credits faster so that I can unlock stuff and potentially ruling out the problem with weak weapons.

Skyrim is a terrible example, thats more of a time sink than mass effect mp.

I hope for you and many other sakes, bioware does come out with a more time efficient way to max out atleast rare/uncommon manifests. Maybe a pack that gives 4 rares and only rare cards, but no consumables and no chances of UR which I think is what most people really get frustrated with.

Sure PSP is best for ur weapons but lets ignore the fact majority are mediocre at level 1 but they simply are not earning enough. Its basic logic like in real life, buy what you can afford. I had to work my way up but people just want it now are actually making it worse for themselves. Bioware is also to blame as its not user friendly and people dropping like flies instead of being given guidance.

Content you rightfully own implies you bought it, which you did not.
Edit: I do agree the RNG is horrible. Part of it is my fault since I switched platforms but my UR count is sad. That is the nature of the beast and it has probably driven me to play even more.
