The overall design of the multiplayer is quite poor, and incredibly abstract (the invisible Brute melee hitbox? Yeah). Unfortunately, things like enemies having tons of health and sync-killing are band-aids used as an attempt to cover up the glaring design flaws. Enemies have zero sense of self-preservation or intelligent AI (among many other things), so they get tons of health and damage, the ability to see through walls, and irregular, unnaturally quick/weightless movement patters to compensate. If the core design was done properly, there would be more organic (and fun) methods to balancing the game.

This is why player weapons should kill quicker.

No need. Players already have powers, power combos, and teammates to exploit said power combos.

The enemy AI is pretty stupid, which is why they have better guns than we do. Are you using consumables with your guns (assuming you're playing gold and above here)? Almost anything can be made pretty beastly with the right equipment.

I'm not keen on using consumables. They're usually wasted because I'm still not effective enough at taking down enemies quickly with them in use. Bad teammates as well.

That's a mistake.

Consider the following: when I use no consumables the most damage I can get out of a shotgun on a non-weapons platform character is:

(Base Damage)*(1+0.25(HVB)+0.15(Gear)+~0.25(All Weapon Passives))=1.65 Base Damage

While with Warp 3 III and Shotgun Rail Amp III I get another 65% so 2.3x Base Damage

You will be 2.3/1.65=140% as effective with equipment as without.

If you took a weapons class instead such as the GI, with the same level III equipment you can reach 3.9x the base damage.  So you would be 236% as effective as in the first case.

In game, this is what makes the difference between killing a boss in 8 seconds and killing one in 20.

True. But it doesn't work all the time against enemies who can absorb more damage. You still need teammates attacking them as well. You may not even need any consumables if your temmates' weapons are good enough on their own with only mods.

You keep reviving this post. Why?

COD BO2 is a horrible game. If you prefer that to this then you should be playing that and just let this game go.(And no I don't suck at COD. I think my K/D is like a 1.90.)

We heard your complaints. Many others have made the same ones. Everyone deals with the same issues that you have. If your not having fun then why keep this post alive, dragging out your unhappiness?

I get being mad at the RNG store but feeling entitled to content that you did NOT PAY for is just silly.

But they usually replace the usage of weapons rather than combine it.

Halo: Reach to me is far superior than Halo 4 for the reason you mentioned. The unlocks are cosmetic. And the semi-real military ranks are a far better progression than some stupid SR number. I never wanted to look to Halo to have to unlock stuff so I could actually get a better gun. Still, I play both Reach and 4, and that game is strictly for shooting all the mooks. It doesn't compare one iota in complexity to ME3 MP.

1. Hero, Legend, Nova, Eclipse, Reclaimer, and Forerunner aren't "semi-military".

2. Halo, a competitive MP game with weapon spawns, is less complex than ME3's class based co-op? Lolno.

No they don't.

Even if powers replaced weapons, why would that detract from your enjoyment? The entire idea is that you have more than just your weapon.

They are hoping that in your frustration to get the items you want, you will spend money on points. However, I think most real gamers want to feel the satisfaction of working their way to the top and not having it handed to them on a silver platter. Name any game where a new player can just pick the best items for their character day one? ME3 does give you the possibility that you will get great items quick, but not guarenteed.

And you are asking for immediate satisfaction on just the items you want. Nice try.

In short, you are a player that wants all things immediately unlocked.

You also aren't very logical. You complain that your weapons stink yet you play in gold/platinum? No wonder you don't like this game. Get an AVENGER. Go into Bronze - learn some skills. Try to have fun. PROFIT.

Basically you want to do what others have never done before you - get the advantage of platinum (credits) without being platinum ready.

Link Manifest Please.

I read this as "I want everything now and I can't be bothered to wait for it".

Use equipment bonuses (if they aren't making a difference for you, you're probably using the wrong one for your build, and there's no point in not using them, they're just gonna sit there doing nothing), and keep buying Arsenal Packs.

And, personally part of the reason I enjoy ME3 so much is because of the way the store works. I got sick of COD matches where between 12 players there are only 3-4 different guns being used. And there's that little moment when you open a pack and feel like a kid at Christmas again...WhatIGetWhatIGetWhatIGet??!!! Image IPB

Black Ops 2 can't be that bad for you if you have good stats. And I am playing that instead of Mass Effect 3.

Other people can have fun with it and I can't because they've got more, better items than me. I'm trying to get said items so that I can have fun, too. Its a fun game with the right stuff. Its a boring game without,

I meant that you can't use powers and weapons at the same time. You can't use a weapon and flamer at the same time, etc.

Skyrim (PC) allows new players to instantly pick the best items for their characters immediately via codes which are within the parameters of the game. And I never have and never will spend a single penny on any packs. Also, you aren't really making your way to the top if you get given the same crap that you don't want or need.

I might listen to your argument if every single MP DLC was not free.

Content you rightfully own implies you bought it, which you did not.

Edit: I do agree the RNG is horrible. Part of it is my fault since I switched platforms but my UR count is sad. That is the nature of the beast and it has probably driven me to play even more.

I could have bought it by using real money to buy reinforcement packs. Besides, finders keepers?

Another problem is the woefully low power of pretty much all weapons in the game. Think about which enemies can kill you quicker than you can kill them. Take into account that there are even more of that enemy plus enemies more powerful than the aforementioned enemy itself. You're probably not gonna survive, even if you're with other people. Unless your weapon can kill twice as fast as all the enemies' weapons except those of boss enemies. Unfortunately, none of the weapons I have can do that in their current status. Its really not fun when I'm shooting enemies with high-power weapons and the health/armour bar is just crawling to 0%. And before anyone tells me to use the Cerberus Harrier or something like that, I don't have any weapons like that. Why's that so? Answer: Read the paragraph above. The simple solution to this would be to decrease health of enemies. And if that would make the game too easy, increase the number of enemies that can be on the ground at once as well.

Use a power class, any Adept. Don't rely on weapons all the time. Having all the weapons you want at level X won't give you the edge you think it will.

Oh really? What do you think kills faster? Harrier X or Incinerate spamming?

Fine, I probably will. Not sure how you continue to enjoy this, though.

Then just leave already.

Why does it matter if/how we continue to enjoy playing ME3, are you looking for some special secret to having fun in a game?

Nope. I'm look for any fun in a game. If a game has nothing fun on offer, I don't play it. ME3 DOES have fun on offer, but it can be difficult to find.

If you are having trouble in bronze, then all the weapons in the universe can't help you. If you are having trouble on a higher difficulty then you need to play bronze to learn.

I have no problem in Bronze or Silver. Just Gold and Platinum. There is a MASSIVE jump between Silver and Gold.

While i agree that there are alot of garbage weapons in the game, there is afew that are really good even at 1.
Ive seen people do amazing things with various wpns in me3; javeling killstreak, oneshot brutes, and many more, so they can't be THAT bad.
Chances are that if you just started, then even if you were to start with all wpns at 10, you would still fail horribly at the higher difficulties. I remember my own first bronze game, i got pewned instant and felt i would never ever be good enough for silver.
Now i can take a soldier armed only with predator pistol and rock silver.
And if you really dislike ALL the weapons then id advise you to use the power classes.
classes like eg. the classic Human Adept is platinium viable without equipping any weapons at all, and i would be able to take this class to any diff even if my manifast were wiped.

When this is said, id say that if you need all the awesome wpns to have fun, there might be a chance that you even with theese wpns, wont have fun in the game.
I had great fun when i started(eventho i had no wpns), and i still have great fun.
