But still, I have never seen Shep look differently at a male in ME1 and 2. Even if you never romance a female
character, he never gives that vibe away, you know? But that's just me saying.

There's the little cutscene that plays before you talk to Kaidan on the normandy in ME1.  There's definitely something going on there

I thought I was the only one who noticed that.

Oh c'mon. I'm 100% behind living your life in whatever way you want and all that, but every straight male loves a lesbian. Girls are just too pretty. Don't hate us. :D

Lifting. Oh, and conversations about 8-cylinder engines.

Am I doing it right?

So it shouldnt be that hard for you to imagine why a straight female player does a gay playthrough. Just saying. Image IPB

Presumably by not being excessively flamboyant.

Yeah but there's no law that says a straight man can't be flamboyant or that a gay man can't be conservative in nature.

As a straight gamer and all, this got me to realize something: Ive never met a gay gamer in my life!

As far as you know. ;)

Do you guys choose those characters as your Lis because of your sexual orientation or just for storytelling purposes?

This is not a hate thread or anything like that, I’m just curious.

I'm a friend of the family and like to RPG my Shepard based on whatever motivations I've based him on.

There was a straight guy in the dorm next to me that acts really flamboyant. He even has a "lisp" as some would call it.

Yup.

There is no such thing as acting Gay or acting Straight. There is only acting as you.

Labels are stupid.

I find this move a little weird, specially because in my mind Shepard always acted straight on ME1 and 2. But that’s not the point here.

I think that you are getting into very dangerous territory regarding stereotypes here because Shepard very rarely expresses any feelings at all - so what is that based on? Shepard being a soldier? Shepard not likening a single specific person?

Besides, how do you know that you haven't met any gay gamers? At what point in a match or in a BSN discussion does sexual orientation come up?

My "cannon" maleshep's Li is Kaidan and I'm sure that may have something to do with my own sexuality, but other play throughs have different LI's like Liara and Jack.

I don't just pick Kaidan because he is male and so is one of my shepards, but because I like the character. I just wish my femshep could have Jack :( oh well

That would give me an incentive to actually start a femShep. I don't like any of the options available to Femshep.

I was honestly underwhelmed with the homosexual romances I was provided in the game. The straight audience at least gets some eye candy and variance. I have to choose between Blandy McBlanderson or I get someone's dead-husband-rebound.

My Shepards are awful lonely.

Initially it was because FemShep was so shortchanged on the hetero romances, as in none at all for my FemSheps and I found the forced lesbianism was not for me.

I have to play as a male to get any kind and I thoroughly enjoy both the Steve and Kaidan romances.
