What do you think about the nerf of AIU?, Do you think the character is ruined or do you think the nerf was needed?

Melee nerf is a little upsetting, but understandable.

Even more reason to slap on hydraulic joints and shotgun omni blade.

I don't understand why they would make a nerf that makes the game less fun. The 4X100 Drell Fembot relay from ammo box to ammo box will be fun for the two racers, but terrible for everyone else.

Still really good. I'd like to see the people who actually think she's ruined. Even after this nerf, you can still pop a repair matrix and focus solely on blasting enemies with a Claymore. Only thing to worry about are a group of Phantoms piling in you and grabbing you after you resurrect.

It's the same, but now she consumes twice as many grenades than before. Considering she's hella fast, that's negative for your teammates and not for her. Also, lol melee nerf. That one was completely unnecessary. The shields restored per second nerf was actually spot on tho.

Mediocre nerfs if you ask me.

I dont give a damn. I don't care about classes with no unique abilities and play style. Infact the only unique infiltrator is the Shadow.

Its a weapons based class, ofcourse its going to be the best in the game. She wasnt that fun to begin with though. Also, RACE YOU GAIZ TO THE GRENADE BOXES.

I never found her entirely OP. Sure, she had that insta-revive, but she still has that. What they did nerf was me actually using the packs to regen health instead of just using it if I might go down.

Never tried a melee build, so I can't say the melee nerf affected me much.

Overdone.

A Repair Matrix nerf seemed inevitable, but this is a big cut, both to individual mechanics and in total. The heavy melee reduction sure surprised me.

Personally, while I found the kit strong, I found I could do as well with my other favorite characters, even pre-nerf. I don't expect her to be 'ruined,' but I'm tenative about how she now plays.

I still do alright with it. Might start using grenade capacity instead of Shocktrooper Gear so I don't make as many trips to the ammo box.

I think duration was the wrong kind of nerf too. They didn't hurt her so much as other classes that need grenades. people that use the AIU tend to rely on the auto revive and now she is going to eat twice as many grenades. i feel for grenade dependent classes that play with her.

IMO bioware didn't put a lot of thought into this

The nerfs went too far as usual. Expected the duration nerf, but not the melee or the shield restore rate nerf (SP's are way better now).

Another kit that will sit on my shelf a bit more now, not that I played her much anyway, but it was cool to have a shotgun Infiltrator. Our good old SI now has more survivability, but I'll probably still knock the dust off the bot once in awhile. She still looks a lot better then the SI. lol

I think we will see less bots in PUG lobbies, but will cringe more when they are they if you're playing a grenade character. After all, you ain't gunna beat her to the ammo box!

They weren't going to nerf Tactical Cloak or Snap Freeze since they specifically said they were going to nerf Repair Matrix.

and Shotgun TC + SF + auto revive does make something overpowered.

Maybe its just me, but apart from some friends, I have yet to see a good AIU in pugs.  I'm usually picking them up the whole game.

no i'm not "****ing kidding" you.  that amount of shield restoration with only 3 points into this power is utterly meaningless on Gold/Plat.  what it means, instead, is that it will ONLY be a free Insta-Rez.

the other bonuses (speed, damage reduction, shield restoration) are meaningless unless you max RM out.  period.


LOL L2P how do you survive with any class in this game then? Shield restoration at 90/sec rank 3 is perfectly useful. Even at rank 1 that amount of shield restore completely negates DoT damage from banshees. But I guess unless you can stand in sustained fire without dying it's not good enough for you? And do you really think that RM has to be maxed out to be ridiculously good? At rank 1 you get a 10% speed bonus. That's better than an adrenaline module 1.

Just because you can find some pugs that do bad with it doesn't make it not overpowered, though. I could find you pugs that would do bad with a GI + Pre-nerf Krysae, but that doesn't mean that setup wasn't overpowered either.

I don't think it needed a nerf unless it became overplayed, but I'm not going to say that it was a balanced kit.
