What do you think about the nerf of AIU?, Do you think the character is ruined or do you think the nerf was needed?

Between her biotic focus speed increase, her Poison strike and her flipping through walls, a good player with her should beat other nade users to the box most of the time. So stay down sexbot!

Truthfully I don't think it hurt her much with rm. Not sure about melee though since I currently have NO points in the fitness tree. TIme will tell.

Just because you can find some pugs that do bad with it doesn't make it not overpowered, though. I could find you pugs that would do bad with a GI + Pre-nerf Krysae, but that doesn't mean that setup wasn't overpowered either.

Considering that nearly every pug I've played have been at least 1 AIU and Juggernaut each, I'm perfectly happy nerfing it. I just wish the devs had considered that nerfing duration hits grenade users, which has been my main complaint from the start.

It was quite stupid of them to balance a class around SUICIDING, and raping the actual good part of the class which was the fast play style. I am so pissed about this bc i wished the shadow was fast like this and not clunky like it is.

I woulda been fine with taking away the self rez bc it woulda forced people to play better, and been an indirect nerf to the rest, and woulda taken away her godmode. The way they did it makes the class less efficient by balancing it around suicing.. really?? Why does the tgi have instant shield regen with practically immunity frames for a sec but aiu gets owned when her regen is over time

The Repair Matrix nerf is completely irrelevant. What made and makes the AIU the #1 damage dealing infiltrator is the shotgun damage multiplier.

The Repair Matrix was just what made this character more fun to play that other infiltrators, it had 0 effect on the amount of damage I did or the score I got with this character. The only difference was that I wasn't using as many ops and gels and didn't have to buy a JEP every other game.

It would have been a more fun character if the repair matrix had remained untouched, and if it had had a nerf in damage output instead. I'm going to spec out of RM now and try a full fitness build.

Yea, aslong as she has her 2 main assets (ahem), her Insta-revvie and the shotgun evo - users should remain happy.

I suppose it's different for everyone. I see mainly Juggernauts and almost no AIUs.

Though personally I'd have hit the DR harder than they did and not touched duration. Cut it down to about 20% max damage reduction.

It was a good change overall and those saying she is ruined are being extremely dense or silly as she still has good survivability and amazing offense.

Only thing I have a problem with is the melee damage nerf, that was unnecessary.

IMO repair matrix should've included a 25% damage reduction (to the AIU's damage output) while active. Then it would've been great for getting out of a bad situation but wouldn't allow for reckless offense.

Oh I agree, I see more juggies than AIUs, but that's a complaint for another thread. But in my experience, that just means that I'm more likely to get 2 juggernauts and an AIU, than 2 AIUs and a juggernaut.

Why would you NERF A class'S EFFECTIVENESS TO BALANCE IT AROUND SUICIDING? REALLY TAKE A STEP BACK AND THINK ABOUT IT LOL. YOU HAVE REMOVED THE class'S USEFULNESS IN ORDER TO ALLOW HER TO NOT DIE. Really what is the point of a weaker class that can't die than a good class who is less likely to die when played right?

They nerfed her shields and damage instead of just removing the self rez which woulda forced people to not play so brazenly, yet woulda kept her effectiveness. Think about it after stepping back for a sec. i am so upset by this.. it is unthought of changes.

Seriously.. they balanced a class around suicidng. Real effective in game strategy there

I don't see why nerf the melee dmg too.. why take away options? I love melee builds, why pigeon hole us into using 1 build. Her melee wasn't that crazy lawl. Ok i am sorry to keep posting (on my fone so can't edit), just so pissed the **** off. I kno why they did it, bc it is all they could do without a patch, but still **** this ****ing bull****

It doesn't really matter for me. I don't have to use a RM to stay alive - as far I am concerned they can remove it completly from game. I really like AIU - I dreamed about a kit with a cloak with shotgun bonus and snap freeze:wub:

And do you really think that RM has to be maxed out to be ridiculously good? At rank 1 you get a 10% speed bonus. That's better than an adrenaline module 1.

L2P? hahahahaha....   ahahahahaha anyone who knows both of my gamertags and has played with me knows i know what i'm doing... i've been playing since day1.
i use RM as a "okay, time to get the heck out of here" type of mechanic.  nothing more.  i can't use it as this anymore imo.  i don't think you've played with this kit AT ALL, let alone on Gold or above.  if you had, you'd know that pre-nerf the Shield Restoration MAXED would just enable you to hear a constant shield gate until you kissed the floor anyway.  i don't care about a measly speed bonus.  i've personally only found a speed bonus to be good on kits like the Asari Valk or the Fury.  they could've taken the speed bonus out completely and i would've been a-okay with that.

But why nerf the melee build. I was the only one ive ever seen in game using it haha. Pretty uncalled for and excessive. It is like a brutal cop kicking a guy after handcuffed. Why?? Unnecessary..

I always wanted a quick paced melee class and was so disappointed by the shadow, being the slow paced buggy junk it is, and the aiu was it. The shield boost was fine, it was the self rez that was bad. This sucks!!

But if you know how to play this game and you play since day 1, why would you need the RM shield restoration un-nerfed?

it allowed me to be more "upfront" than my teammates mostly and more than other kits i tend to play with.  i could take the frontlines, if you will, instead of cowering behind cover, waiting for cloak to break just so my shields regen.  with RM, if i'm cloaked and an enemy happens to break my shields, BAM, RM and shields back.  it just kind of defeats the purpose of this kit now.  i'd rather play as a Paladin if i wanna Cryo-Esplode all tha things.
