The best armor in the entire ME Trilogy? Not in terms of stats of course...

ME2- Kestrel, sans helmet
ME3- Hahne Kadar
I do like mixing it up depending on class though.

I tend to like the customizable ME3 armors for Shepard that look more like the designs we saw in Mass Effect 1. The bulky armor designs like the N7 defender or the Cerberus trooper armors look really impractical for use by soldiers in the field. Ditto for two of Vega's armor sets.
My personal favorite in terms of appearance is one of I've never used, as it is a user-created mod of the Ajax armor for the PC version of Mass Effect. I only wish these had been in the main game:
N7 version:

Basic Alliance version:

Spectre version:

Wait...is the Kai Leng's armor?
Can you get that without the hip flaps?

A close second is the Armax Arsenal set. Best stats for an Infiltrator, the chest piece design is really great and the it's overall only one with that rugged, worn look. It's the torn jeans of armor sets.

It's from the Citadel DLC, and no you can't. Armour comes as a single piece that can't be changed without modding.
My personal favourite set is the N7 Defender. I also like the Ajax set alot, although I have to use texture mods to make it wearable in ME3. The default Ajax would've been perfect in ME2.

Gotta say, the N7 Defender, just cause it looks badass. Shame the stats are a bit lame.
Yea. I think that such armor should at least convert wearer's health bar into armor bar to give wearer great damage reduction.

Am I the only one who thinks the Kuwashii Visor looks badass...? Come on...it's a Shepard essential.

Agreed. When I first saw it I thought "I'm gonna be a tank wearing that!" and then you check out the bonuses, and it's just a bit, well, meh.

I think the N7 Defender (on male) is too bulky for my liking. Ajax is cool, but I can't wear the Cerberus logo (Xbox player). Same reason for Nightmare/Shade/Phantom but I also hate the weird jacket tail. I always liked Blood Dragon, but never wore it because I like my face in ME2 and I think helmetless looks weird in ME3. I like the extra red glow in ME3's Terminus armor, but I hate the armor's stats.

Is there a way to switch one armors stats for anothers? Like, switch the defenders stats for the collectors armor stats?
