Okay, so we now have 21 Ultra-Rare weapons in the pool. To get a weapon maxed you have to unlock it ten times, so that's a total of 210 Ultra-Rares to unlock. The general consensus is that Ultra-Rare drop rates in PSPs (the other two 99K packs are only marginally higher) is about 10% (some say more, some say less). One in ten PSPs would round that out to about 2100 PSPs, give or take.

That may not seem like a whole lot on paper. But let me add something: to buy all of those packs one would have to spend 207,900,000 credits (again, give or take). Let's put this another way: to go from 0 Ultra-Rare unlocks to 210, someone would have to play 1386 Platinum matches with extraction. If a normal Platinum match takes about 25 minutes to complete, that's 34650 minutes of playtime, or 577 hours and 30 minutes of solid Platinum play. (You could pull the "speedrun" card, but not everyone knows how to do those.)

All I'm saying, is that the current drop rates are far too demanding. Please consider increasing the drop rate in the future.

<Added>Because I felt like it I did some (possibly lazy) math for speedrunning. If getting 207,900,000 credits was what it required to get all URs, that would mean 1386 Platinum games, and if the average speedrun is 10 minutes, that would mean 13860 minutes of solid Platinum speedplay. Otherwise known as 231 hours worth of speedruns.

<Edit> More math discussing drop rates, and what might be a fair compromise.

<Added> Some math that those of you with all of the Promos you could have gotten before the end of operations might be interested in. Basically, 470.5 hours of Platinum play, or 188.16 hours of speedrunning for a maxed manifest, assuming you got all 39 legitimately obtainable promo weapons before the operations ended.

Oh, real quick, someone please check my math. I don't want to find out it's more like 57 hours of Platinum play or something. lol

Not accounting for the constant need to replenish consumables, either. Total time required is crazy!

Leave the drop rate as it is.

Enough is enough,, I'm lucky to have a maxed manifest including the promos..

Now is the time to give the people who don't have enough URs a better chance of getting them.

Not counting UR character cards, because we love those, too.

The oversaturation in the drop pool has been a problem since Earth dropped.

We havent got any more DLC to look forward to which means that the game has to be able to survive off of us chasing those UR's currently in game.

Considering how many platinium games one can do in a weekend and that ME4 wont be out untill 2014 (about a year from now), i'd say that those are quite appropriate numbers.

After today's balance changes I'm quitting ME3.  I'm not complaining but it's too much of a time sink for a year old game.  I've been playing on and off since launch just trying to have fun but eventually the game got a little dull.  I then decided to try to max my manifest to keep the game alive but they just keep adding URs to the pool.  I have no interest in ME3 now.  It's a great game but there really isn't much to it other than mindlessly grinding credits to try and get something with a low drop rate.  The only way this game will interest me again is if they up the odds for URs or add an UR pack.  That way I'll have a reason to play again without being dead bored.  It's even worse for new players having so much to unlock.

And this is precisely why I'm likely to slow down how much I play and soon after stop entirely because I have little interest in playing another 100% of my time to max it all. I've been playing since launch day.

I think it's incredibly ridiculous for BW to do this, but that's just me.

I think either an expensive ultra rare pack, or maybe adjusting drop rates for those with maxed rares? Some kind of increase would be nice. Let more of the player base actually play with the guns at a decent level.

I might get much hate for this but I don't see what the problem is. I think it just makes things more interesting if the URs are actually kinda ultra rare. Not everyone should have every UR maxed out.

This is what needs to happen. But not the 1 million credit pack that everyone keeps mentioning. That would actually be worse than these stats.
