I have to agree that the UR drop rates are quite discouraging for me. Before the latest DLC, I had all of the UR weapons at around half their level. I actually saved up 6 million for the new DLC and while I did have fairly good UR drop rate when spending the credits, I didn't get a single one of the new URs. Now with the Promo weapons in the URs pool, my chances of getting the weapons I'm missing is even lower. :/

You made it sound so sad :crying:
What weapons are you missing?

Btw i was getting Valkyrie in comendation packs over last weeks..and today i got it again :pinched: (Valkyrie 8) from the store...

All of the Reckoning UR weapons. I keep getting Scorpion upgrades. Personally, I don't like the Scorpion, so I don't really care for getting it to level 9 when I'm still missing the Lancer and such.

EDIT: I actually got one of the new URs - Blood back punisher. Still missing that Lancer tho

Look. IMO by increasing the drop rate of the URs would do more good than harm for players like myself..

I'm saying that majority of "hardcore" gamers like myself will most likely continue to play the game cuz of their never ending love for it..

With that said, I want to keep MP alive as long as it can go! I don't want to stop! So if increasing the rate of URs for other players who dont have it will mean that this great game will go on longer cuz there won't be a reason for players to leave, then that's all that matters to me.

And besides, the end is here..

Just give them a better chance is all.

Not asking to give them every upgrade on a silver platter.

Just improve the percentage is all.

I guess my question is so what? So what if you live your entire life and never max it?

The way I look at it, once I max everything, why bother playing? That is like the ENDGAME. It should take forever.

Personally, I think it would be quite nice if unlocking new weapons had some priority over weapon upgrades. For me, unlocking a brand new weapon always seemed more exciting than upgrades. But that could be just me...

If I could unlock everything a few days after release, it wouldnt be fun. leave the drop rates alone. Decide to play another game if thats too much of a commitment for you.

I understand not giving players things for free.  But...let me put it this way.  I've had all the rares for a long, long time now and have been working on my URs exclusively for about a hundred hours.  Right now, it'll probably take around as much time for me to finish my manifest as it did for me become one of the top crafters and raiders on my server in the last MMO I played (ToR).

There is a middle-ground between getting something for free and making it take almost 6 months of playing like a full-time job.

why the UR droprate so low?
because some pepole will spent money on it....

btw,I think the rate of drop need to increase.
it takes too much time to upgrade them, and it will lose player who were frustrated....

I actually disagree with this part.  Common wisdom among all the players I've talked to is that the odds on URs are so astronomically low that spending actual money on packs once you have your rares maxed is throwing your money down the drain.  That said, I don't have the math on how much $$ players spend before maxing out rares as opposed to after, so can't say that with absolute certainty.

You can't jail the revolution.

Buff the drop rates.

That, my friend, is what we veterans of Battlefield call the "Fun Period," and it is spoken of in legend. It's that magical time where you have everything - no responsibilities, no specific need to use a class or build beyond what you, specifically, want, and you're there specifically to screw around and try new things. With that much at your disposal, you can really get creative with builds and setups, trying weapons and kits that were never intended to be combined, and finding new ways to use them.

This is where the game stops being grindy, and starts being actually fun.

IDGAF about my manifest any more.

I think they will increase the drop rate when the store stops making them money. Only they'll know when that happens.

I think 25 minutes for an average platinum game may be generous, For those of us who PUG platinum, there is usually at least one player on the team who does very little, so it takes at least 30 minutes.

I didn't want to cause problems with the supr1337pro players on these forums who can get them done in 15 minutes. My Platinum matches are only 25 minutes on a good day too.

Which of course means that manifest maxing would take even longer.

Keep in mind beginners would probably start on plat, realize how lost they where, and then immediately return to bronze/silver until they had unlocked better equipment, and figured out how the game works. Which bumps your time up even further.

This is exactly what happened to me last night. Somebody joined our game in wave 7 or so, and proceeded to die within 30 seconds of each wave. When we finished the mission (no thanks to him) I saw that his N7 rating was under 100 and he had no challenge points, so I assume he was new. Hopefully the experience scared him back to bronze. Glacier/Collectors/Platinum must be quite daunting for a new player.

Dont even need to max it for the fun period, just need to get one of everything in my case. But nope, gosh darn it ill take my indra x and javelin 9 and like it. Nevermind that im missing 3 URs.

Those are hamster thoughts.  Step away from the tread mill, please.

If you can't play a game because there is nothing to unlock then that game sucks.  A good game gets played despite not having unlocks.  A crappy game relies on unlock tread mills.

Oh, real quick, someone please check my math. I don't want to find out it's more like 57 hours of Platinum play or something. lol

The collaborative spreadsheet seems to think the UR drop rate for weapons is closer to 16%

https://docs.google....MHc&usp=sharing

That's got about 3000 PSP purchases from a variety of people.

Skinner Box operant conditioning, more people should really understand what it is and what it means. I disrespect developers constantly relying on it.

They'll shut the game down when that happens as then it'll be a pure cost to EA/Bioware.  Then customers will be free to move onto something else and never come back.

Premium Spectre Packs are also available for the low low price of 240 Microsoft points!.

Yeah. We've reached the endgame. There's no reason to buff the drop rates when they can try squeezing every dime out of people.

EA is Satan. I wish I could support Bioware without supporting EA, but after ME, even that is being stretched thin.

I have almost stopped playing ME3 MP completely atm because of the store.

It is incredibly annoying and incredibly frustrating to keep getting Ammo Powers. Sure they are awesome but I already have lots & lots of them ! I am never going to run out of it !

I have been very vocal about it in the past. Luckily now some people are starting to see the idiocy behind such a store.

If push comes to shove, I will just hack the game to give me unlimited credits & get my stuff maxed. My patience has not run out to that point yet but one day it will.

The Worst thing about the store is that some players are always more luckier than others, which is complete BS.
(Some maxed new UR with 20 million. while some didn`t even get half filled with 20 million credits)

I agree with others. Making acquisition of UR easier cannot possibly do harm to the game at this point.
(Of course, with decent limit)
