That thread is about who has completed all the weekend ops, not the level of Promotional Weapons achieved.

And I would very much like a link to your source about Weekend Operations. No one else has an official word on it, where did you read/hear that?

I too would like to see where it claims that the operations are continuing. This is quite the obvious step forward to eliminating them. What's the point of them when you can now buy them like any other UR? What do they give to those that have maxed our their manifest? Seems like a difficult thing to accommodate for everyone.

Who gives a crap about people who have maxed out their manifest? lol, if they're not playing just for the enjoyment of the game, they wouldn't be playing with a maxed manifest in the first place.

It's the other 99.9% of the player pool who needs consideration, not them.

I received two Valiant upgrades during operation Lodestar and with the Hurricane and Crusader being fully/almost done, I was hoping to get more upgrades for my favorite sniper rifle in the next operations. I guess I can forget about that.
'Just use the Black Widow instead' you say? Well, about ten months of playing ME3 MP and my BW is still at level II. I really would have preferred to keep the promo weapons limited to the weekend ops.

Btw @Shepard VI: I love your avatar. Can't wait for March 31st.

Please... you are saying this as if those "any other" URs grow on trees. There is still a lot of purpose in weekend ops because that way, even if it is only once a week, the promos are atleast almost guaranteed. Restricting them to URs will mean that I may not see an upgrade for any promos for God knows how long, thanks to spitfires.

That's why I want them to be integrated completely into the UR pool, meaning that they can't be obtained in Commendation Packs any longer. I think people misunderstand what "ultra rare" means. They shouldn't be given to us weekly for completing a challenge in 20 minutes. If anything, it gives the multiplayer a longer life span because now we have to rely on the RNG store to unlock them. And yes, I hate the Spitfires too, but such is life in Mass Effect. It's rewarding when you finally get that elusive weapon you actually want. You want to play for hours straight. With weekend operations, I always took them with a grain of salt. Sure, they were fun, but they didn't last long, and (for me anyway), they liked to reward my work ethic by giving me weapons that I couldn't care for, while the ones I wanted were rare. Now I am glad that I can take the credits I get from my Platinum farming, and unlock more weapons. It means less Level IV crap, right?

In theory, anyway...

You never know, maybe that other person is right, and the weekend operations will still continue. I'm just connecting the dots that the "promotional" weapons have been moved into the Ultra Rare pool, meaning that they are slowly (or quickly) phasing out weekend operations and commendation packs. It makes sense when you think about the last one giving us a maximum amount of three. BioWares rare of saying, this is our last dance, try and get something good before we make you dirty animals thrive for them in the RNG store! I guess we'll see what happens.

Cheers. I can't wait either. It'll be exciting to see what other changes they make. But I'm mostly just excited to see my favourite book come to life in the form of the best television series ever.
