I think alot of us would be satisfied if they just went in and moved some of the UR's to Rare. I think we can all agree that some of them aren't worthy of the category. That would decrease the number of duds we have to go through to get what we want. If I got crap in a Comm pack, at least I could tell myself that "well, there's one more of those out of the way". But now, there's just way too many in the way.

I really don't care about maxing my manifest. I would like to finally play with my Harrier without going every 30s to ammo cache. I would like to score some headshots with paladin. I would like to try out the Venom. I would like to feel the power of Javelin X...
Well, maybe after 600 additional hours of gameplay what for me means never (winter break is already over
)

i have maxed my manifest again, but still need to get promo's since they were released recently.

besides, if it was to easy people would complain, if it was somewhere between to easy and to hard people would still complain.

stick to your guns BroJo, its not because im greedy, its because progression through unlocks is a huge part of the game and should not be to easy.

So you say I have to put in more time into this game? I have just over 400 hours of gameplay for this MP which is by far the most of any game I have played and I still need 63 N7 weapons before the new DLC where I have 0 in all four of those weapons.  So after 400+ hours, I need 103 N7 weapons and doesn't add in the promo weapons with gear/mods I also need.  No way I am going to play this game for 400+ more hours because this year is going to be busy for me and with the new consoles coming out, we only have the spring and summer still left.

Edit, I guess we can add in the Fall too, but there is no way I can see playing this for 400+ more hours.  I know there are others out there who feel the same way.

I dont see why any of it should be changed.

I understand that it will be harder to get any one weapon unlocked to x if you are new, due to there being many, many more UR flooded into the RNG system. However, the game has become consistently easier and easier to beat, with the addition of playable kits that make a match incredibly easy.

I started my manifest before:
Level 4 equipment
Permanent gear slot

Before:
Consistent weapon and power buffs
Platinum difficulty credits
Extraction credits
6 in game consumable limits

And before these kits were available:
Turian Ghost
AIU
Geth Infiltrator
Krogan Vanguard
Juggernaut
Geth Trooper
Fury
Destroyer

Even the objectives got easier:
Pizza delivery, easiest objective in the game.
Escort: an easier version of hack.

--------------------------------------------

The game is easier than ever, don't change the RNG, Bryan!

There will always be gamers who dont want challenge, but feel like they deserve the reward.

I'm not new, yet I'm not surprised if I don't get anything in a Premium Spectre pack.

I believe you Bojo because I switched platforms.

At this point though, I only have an insane amount of UR's left. I have got an absurd low drop rate for them. In my last few million credits I have received a Javelin.

The fact that even the weapons packs just give me rare character cards drives me nuts. The weapon pack does not even have an increased chance for UR weapons.

7+ million credits spent and I do not have a Lancer. I love that the promo weapons are now UR's but that means I am that much further from getting one.

A UR pack that is expensive benefits the people who already have a ton invested.

My point is that all though the drop rates of UR hasnt changed, and there are many new weapons available, the amount of credits you can earn over the same period of gaming HAS changed.

You can earn more credits faster and with better success.

It needs to be changed because the game is coming to an end and there will be people who have played MP from the beginning that will not get to try some weapons, or upgrade others past 1 or 2 times.  Yet we can pull up a video of people soloing Platinum with a Harrier X that we can only dream about.  I have 427 hrs in and a Harrier 2.  Truth to tell, that's the only gun I really care about upgrading, but it'll never happen because I have 116 other UR's to get.

And I find offense in your statement about challenge/reward.  I have no desire to eliminate the challenge, nor do I feel I need to be "rewarded" beyond what I earn.  But as has been explained numerous times, the store has very little to do with "earning" anything when people can go on 4 million credit sprees and get nothing, but the next guy can spend 500k and get 3 ur's.

I find this game to be quite confounding.  On one hand, it is solely responsible for getting me into online gaming, yet without exception every person I've heard/seen comment on the store thinks it's one of the worst features they've ever encountered.  I will undoubtedly play this game until they shut down the servers, but I will also undoubtedly not get the guns I want maxed.

(I'm about to go home from work, so if you reply, I'll catch up tomorrow)

At this point it's not about completing the manifest. I could die satisfied knowing I never got an Eagle X.

I want to be able to access weapons I don't have, and with support for weekend ops ending, the problem's been exacerbated. The way the store operates, I can't just buy whatever I'm missing, so my only way of combating the issue is to throw credits at the casino and petition for a pack that will substantially increase my chances of acquiring missing content. Even then, such a pack may still rely heavily on eliminating existing ultra rares in my inventory instead of providing me the weapons I'm missing first and foremost.

An ultra rare pack could be $5.99 USD and guarantee one ultra rare, or 1.5 million credits. It'd be the only thing in the pack. People would pay out the ass for an ultra rare. Or you could boost the existing chance for ultra rares in PSPs and jump the price up another 60 spacebucks.

I, and many others, are tired of diminishing returns for our investment in multiplayer. It was easy to ignore before because of weekend ops and DLC speculation, but now that support's ending, the advancement aspect of the game has tanked.

We will never discuss drop rates, so even if it was changed there would be really no way of knowing for certain.

Using the same guns and classes for months because I can't get other ones to the horrible drop rate isn't fun.
You aren't accounting for the fact that I get bored of doing the same thing, or using the same guns. (plural, because there are multiple good ones, but just as many I still need)

To all the people making wild claims about how much money you have to spend to get an UR, look up spending sprees on youtube, there are tons of spending sprees. You rarely get past 1mil credits without hitting an UR.

I did a spending spree with 12.6 million when reckoning came out and got about 12 URs (not counting the collector) buying nothing but premiums. I also got all the golds unlocked, so now as I work off the remaining URs, i get level 4 consumables that I can use to make my games go faster and with greater success.

Assuming brian can see what you are getting per credits spent, you are probably hurting your case by making up these clearly exaggerated claims about the RNG system not working.

Many of the new URs simply aren't good enough to match the fact that millions upon millions of credits must be spent to unlock and level them up. If you ran a car dealership and priced a Honda Civic at $100,000, no one would be interested in buying cars from you. In the same way, charging 10 million credits on average for a Level X Valkyrie is absurd.

Well the odds of getting an UR through a "spending spree" must be different if it's spread out.

I went through 90 PSPS over a month period = 8.9 million spent. 0 URs received.

Then other people claim they spend as much in one go and get multiple URs.

Then get creative. You dont have to grind to get platinum matches done in 25 minutes. Every 2 platinum matches I get to open about 3 premiums. I'm not even kidding when I say that I got 6 URs yesterday, and today I got at least one, I might have gotten two (I think I got crusader 6 and venom 9)

Also, it should be obvious why BioWare never discusses drop rates - they manipulate them probably based on some algorithm to try to induce you into buying packs. The rates have never been constant, and they never will be. They're probably even tailored to the individual player.

I think you failed to see what most of us are talking about.  I love the game and I agree with you on how the game is easier then it was in the beginning, but to have people who have been playing since March with manifests not even close to getting 50% of ultra rares unlocked seems insane.

I think if a person has a combined amount more then 100+ of Level four ammo, then they have earned a right to want more Ultra Rares.  Seriously, what are people going to do with 100+ level four ammo in their manifest.  You can't trade it to someone else and you can only use one at a time.  And then you play like me sometimes one night a week with friends, I get a few PSPs and receive nothing but level four ammo.  All the fun is turned into frustration.

On the car ride home from the post that Bryan replied to me, I was thinking on how to fix the store.  Maybe the store could look your manifest before the pack loads to see what Ultra-Rares you have.  If you have 0-2 of any Ultra Rare, maybe your chance of getting an Ultra Rare increases until you at least level 3 of all your UR weapons and then the store goes back to the logic it is now.  I don't know, but like I said in a post before, what is the sense of creating DLC, making it free, and then have maybe 10-30% of the player base not being able to experience it.  I just don't understand the logic.

I've been curious about one thing:

Is it at all possible to get n UR card from Recruit, Veteran or Jumbo Equipment packs?
