- Her appearance (expecially in Mass 3. Good lord). At least there's appearance packages in Mass 2 to give her something resembling armor. I mean ok you've got a super cute face, but going bare-chested in a battle where projectiles fly at relativistic speeds is just ridicolous.
- Her overall performance in ME2 battles (no matter the situation, she quickly dies.)
Other than that, i like her character and how it gets developed by the loyalty and Grissom Academy missions.
One might quickly dismiss her as a potty mouthed, unnecessarily violent ****, but considering all she went through, it's a miracle she's even able to talk about herself with Shepard.
She FURIOUSLY wishes to love and be loved. And this is projected in the will to protect her students at any cost.
Also, the part where she constrains herself from swearing in front of Kahlee and the boys is a really nice touch.

In me2 i found her to be good in combat provided she was a match for your class.Rhayak wrote...

Biotic ammo and a long duration pull did the job just fine.

This is a reflection on you as a player. She was integral part of my Sentinel Insanity run through ME2. And I never used medigel to revive fallen teammates.

I actually respect that, at least you're not one of those fake people who only like Jack just because of her look and attitude change from ME2 to ME3. That being said, I love Jack in ME2 and ME3.
Same here. I loved Jack in ME2 and my man couldn't understand why I liked her character so much and took her on a lot of missions because he said she really annoyed him. I saw the potential for her to settle down which is WHY I really liked her character in 2 because she had character. I was really glad in ME3 to see that I wasn't wrong about her.

Uh oh, looks like someone in desperate need of approval got butthurt.
Also, really? You NEVER used medigel to revive someone in Insanity? That reeks very bad.

Nope, I did not.
And I'm not looking for approval, simply stating that her effectiveness in battle is nothing to do with her character and everything to do with how a player utilises her.

The reason I didn't like her in ME2 is because she tried acting all tough when she wasn't. In ME3 she stopped dragging her past behind her and she became a stronger character.Razgaros wrote...
I think the main reason some people don't like her is because she does'nt try to be nice, does'nt try to know you, and does'nt care about you in me2. Unlike 90% of the companions, she is not your fangirl/fanboy. Since you have been treated as the messiah this whole series, Outside of enemies, people that don't worship you are hard to find when you play paragon in that game :/.

Given her past it's easy to understand tought. I'am pretty sure she has the ****tiest past of all the me characters, so... Also I belive humans don't change unless you give them something so absolute, so clear, so obvious that they are forced to change for their own sake. Sheppard and the suicide mission was probably that for her, The team showed her that she did'nt have to be alone and always hunted, it gave her a sense of belonging that she missed and thus joined the army because it was the closest thing she could get. Also helping the kids at the academy is probably her way of dealing with her past, by being someone she wishes she could have had when she was a kid. All and all, it's understandable why it took her one game to change, even Sheppard can't change someone like that in 2 minutes.

Her redesign and character development in ME3 grew on me. Now, she's alright. I wouldn't have her as a permanent squadmate, but she's tolerable.

Let's face it if most of us were to meet a RL Jack we would not like her very much.
I pretty much liked all the squadmates, although Vega and Jacob were a bit boring.

I can't stand her ME2 persona. I even heavily considered having her be the only casualty during the Suicide Mission, before going for a No One Left Behind.

You would kill someone off just because of their pesona?
