ME2 Jack is very love/hate for me. I'd like her a lot, but then she'd say an emo-tastic line (her loyalty mission particularly pisses me off) and I'd despise her.
She's amazing in ME3, though.
Do ppl actually like Jack?

I like Jack.
And I still have a ongoing discussion with my friends about the last scene in her loyalty mission: We see Jack playing with the remote detonators safety cap, pulling it open and snapping it closed again. Click. Clack. Click. Clack. She looks absentminded, most likely rethinking her past.
Then she presses the button and detonates the bomb prematurely. I say this was actually an accident on her part because she was distracted thinking about “****”. My friends say she did that on purpose and they're probably right.
Either way it makes her a very interesting character.

I like her as a character. Shepard sees that there's a good kid whose got screwed up and wants to help.
But I wouldn't want to hang around with her in real life. Nor would she want to hang around with me I guess.

Jack is one of the best characters in my opinion...as I believe she has one of...if not the best...character-arc through ME2 to ME3.
I think her character-arc is the best because I think Shepard has the most effect on her.
Also, even though I never romance her...I think she is probably the best looking female in the game. Give her fully long hair in ME3 and she would be damn gorgeous.

Nope. Didn't want her on the ship in the first place.

Jack wasn't my favorite in ME2: just a cliched tough girl, with an abusive past, and only the hero alone could melt through her hatred.
Jack in ME3, however, was much better. She still had her tough girl persona, but her teaching kids showed she could both care and be trusted with the lives of others. I thought it showed she grew past her cerberus abuse.
Addendum: Just for the record I'd still romance Tali over Jack everytime.

I grew to like her in ME2, but ME3 version is amazing.
It's just great to see the effect Shepard's efforts have had on her. That devoted Mama Bear stuff really suits her, and the tweaked version of her look is a very cool blend too.

Is this even a question?
She's got great story material and a solid character arc despite getting tangled up in a couple tropes. People see the tats at first, but I could see all the surgical scars and medical markings where injections and implants are supposed to be, It explains how she'd act the way she does.
Better than the way Liara and Tali were initally treated as plot devices and cultural wikis.

as I said in a previous thread about Jack I was not too keen on her in ME2 because her attitude and was not a fan of her being pretty much topless (just seemed weird to me) but her romance is extremely good (in a way she is like Miranda with her being soft in the inside) and the voice acting with Jack is very well done.
ME3 she was pretty much brilliant in the small sections she was in and did feel it was a shame she did not have more of a role (she had the biggest character development out of all the characters)
but too be honest all the characters in the series I do understand why people like them (maybe except Morinth)

I don't dislike Jack; she's far from my favourite but once you get past the biotic rage queen exterior there's plenty of good reason for her to be really messed up. She's a good character in that she's abrasive because she's meant to be abrasive, and has good reason to be. Although I found the addition of combat to her loyalty mission in ME2 mostly redundant, it was actually a pretty good sequence to help round out Jack as a character. Her facing off against Miranda is also one of those great moments of ME2.
I'm a bit undecided about her portrayal in ME3's main story; on the one hand it's good to see her now trying to do something positive, but she was just too chummy for my liking.

I can't say I hate anyone! I just didn't really like Ash in ME1, ME3 is a bit better, but I think she's my least liked character...
Jack is really great, especially since we can really see some great character development

Jack is one of those characters that are basically more than meets the eye. She's great if you take the time and get to know her. Her romance arc is one of the better ones in the series, in my opinion.
