I can understand why the VS acted as they did. I still think it's ridiculous for Kaidan to accuse FemShep of cheating if she moved on to someone else though. He can call Shep a traitor, and make it clear he wants nothing to do with her (and continue to freak out about Cerberus in ME3)... but he still thinks they're together? Wtf Kaidan.
nah, how the VS acted on Horzion was way outta bounds and incredibly un-profesional and disrespectual to act against a friend and fellow/former alliance marine. Let alone Best friend, brother in arms or even a lover. But again this was for game design reasons. After ME3's intro and shepard being reinstated as Commander of the Normandy the way the VS acted, especially Ashely, on Mars would have warranted corporal punishment even a courtmarshall in the real world.
The way Ash or Kaysauce talk to shep on Mars is so desrespectful, if anything they should be appologizing for the way the acted on Horizon. But that's why Garrus and Liara are so awesome, especially Garrus, always loyal no matter what. Never questions Shep. But again this is because Garrus as seen everything shep has first hand. The same can be said about Tali.
The VS are a joke post ME1- wish I could sacraficed both of them, especially Ash and all her BS.
So tell me: what if Ash/Kaidan were right and the Shepard they encountered on Horizon was, in fact, their clone (the one with no memories of their past life)? Would you still be getting on their case for harboring a little doubt that Cerberus would have brought Shepard back with no ill intentions?
And What if the dreams in ME3- you know the ones with whispers in the dark and oily shadows aren't dreams at all but indoctrination attempts against shepard. And what if the end game is a battle of wills against the reaper/indoctrinated choices and choice of shep and all allies.
What if. What if. What if.
See, it's just a video game and you can try to analyze all you want but it's just a game. Much like the VS on horizon. it was done for dramatic effect and to introduce ME2 characters rather than having the VS, or Liara or Wrex re join the crew. It happens because it happens.
Shep's not a clone in ME2 and I never thought he/she was. The VS was just being a little brat. Plus, how did the VS get un-frozen from the collector swarms? I never got that one. Space magik I guess.
