That's because Platinum IS a grind.  If you play just for sh*ts and giggles, you get more fun out of the game even on lower difficulties with less credits.

Try skilless plays.  After I got bored of Geth Gold on my Krolord, I want back down to Silver and promoted my Engineer to try the new Talon buffs.  Along the way I found the joy of the low-weight Demolisher by quite literally throwing Arc Grenades nonstop on Silver.  Much better than running from ammo box to ammo box on a Drelldept since Bioware nerfed the ammo boxes down to 1 grenade each for most maps<_<.

you're probably right about him, but there are loads of us who love the game and still feel the stores stinginess with the URs is a bit extreme. I'll be playing this likely until me4 comes out and then some, but the occasional UR would come nicely. :innocent:
Sinserely love the game, but getting those urs at a more regular pace would be greatly appreciated.

I feel your pain OP. I was in deep enough trying to get a lancer, but now they add 5 more guns just to muck up the pool even more. Very disappointing. Nevermind the fact that 80% of these guns aren't even close to being worthy of UR status. I mean come on the eagle? I'd love to hear one of the devs on here justify the eagle being a UR. Of course these are the same guys that thought the Venom and Spitfire were worthy of UR status, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

An Eagle with a Heavy Barrel does only 10 less damage than a Harrier with an Extended Barrel.

Although I always appreciate it when devs respond to the community I can't help but be a bit resentful for choosing to respond to this post rather than the many other, more thoughtful posts that have been made today regarding this issue.

In some ways I can't even blame you OP for your frusteration. This game had it's fun qualities...at first. Recently that has died for the most part thanks to the majority of the players on my friends list giving up on this game, leaving me with very few options for this "fun" you speak of. And for me as of late, PuGs are about as fun as submerging my face in a pool of chlorine....

...I need new friends.

Don't feel bad OP. Hang in there. I still don't have a Venom, and still only a Lancer I. Plus the Hurricane is a better version of the Bloodpack Punisher, and the Spitfire, even with the buff, is still kinda sucky.

the UR low drop is very frustrating, even with all the rest maxed keeps giving gear. As long as theres something to do i will always stick around. if you devs give us new maps character etc better.

but ive been with PPR V like 6-7 months(before retaliation and the challenges)

I suppose you're correct, in my head I grouped the two together. That comment was also made assuming you're allowed to talk about UR drop rates and the likelyhood of any changes.

I'll also restate that despite the bitterness of that comment I really do apreciate you spending time here and talking to us. I have to say, it's pretty cool getting a direct response from a dev

I'd get mad for other reasons. Like the game randomly deciding that on wave 11, I've lost my connection to the game's servers or losing connection just as a match is starting. And just so it's clear, I have an excellent internet connection, so that isn't the problem. This game is literally the only one I've had so many online problems with.

Congratulations? The Eagle with a 40% damage buff still does less damage than the Harrier with a 25% buff. The HP is also supposed to add 50 points to weight (not sure if that was actually ever fixed for non DLC weapons or not) while the EB adds nothing. So yeah, pretty sure that helps prove my point that the Eagle is not even close to UR worthy. Would probably be better to compare the eagle to other pistols rather than an assault rifle anyway.

Your opinion on the Eagle is all well and fine, I don't have a problem with that. The eagle is not worthy of being a UR, that's the only point I'm making. FWIW, I don't believe the Valkyrie, Valiant or Crusader are worthy of being URs either.

I don't really see the point in farming, but that's just me. I play because I enjoy the game, and I see the 'goodies' to unlock as merely prizes there to reward me after each play session.

I haven't played this game, or any game for over one month. I'm missing some aspects of gaming and a long break can either refuel your drive to play or makes you quit completely. Usually it's the former for me.
