Instead of new specializations, what about expanding the existing ones?

Since Awakening starts at level 20, it would be nice if we could get more powers from our specializations.  I'd rather have four more powers from each specialization instead of getting brand new ones that I can't use since I'm already an Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage.  Or a Templar/Champion.  Or a Duelist/Assassin.

What do you think?

I certainly like the idea of expanding the Blood Mage abilities.

The problem is if they add more powers then things get all screwy as you only get on average about 25 talents on a character in an average playthrough. (Obviously awakening you'll get a bit more)

Perhaps it would force players to choose between truly specializing in a specific area or being a generalist but I think it'd be kind of weak if you couldn't get the full tree by the end of the game on a specialization. (Maybe if they limited you to one specialization)

Also, more specializations can open up new playstyles, particularly in the case of mages.

Bah. Just do what they did in Warden's Keep and give you something to eat/drink that gives you the stuff.

How about the best of both worlds? 1 or 2 new abilities per specialisation, and one new specialisation per class?

Nothing better than an expansion that gives old classes new toys to play with and gives you even MORE choices outside of that.

Well we know monk-like characters exist in the world, as evidence through the Silent Sister dwarves (read The Calling).

I for one am all for a monk class, it is usually what I like to play.

Oh... 8( I don't have time for reading this kind of books -the free time that I waste is playing the game, for books I have a big debt with some of my philosophy books.
Maybe there is some kind of good resume on the internet? =]
