How did she end up as a Banshee on earth? I can't think of a believable situation.

She didn't visit the monastery, the actual place where reapers harvested Ardat-Yakashi.
She is one of the strongest biotics in the galaxy, on par with Samara, it would take quite the reaper force to take her down, ( Multiplayer 11 wave solo kind of force, if not more).
Likely not very vulnurable to indoctrination, has a strong mind.

It's like she deliberately went to fight countless reaper forces somewhere ( like on earth for example ) head on, until she was defeated.

Anyone has any believable theories of how she became a banshee?

The Reapers know when you are sleeping... they know when you're awake.

Not at all, easily the strongest biotic to ever set foot on the Normandy, except for Samara, who was her equal.
Also not a dumb person either.

Seeing as the reapers were harvesting Ardot Yakshi (sp?), they probably know how to locate them. After all, the asari do.

Yes they know how to locate them - visit a place where they are all gathered. Doesn't take too much brain for that.
No reapers don't have an AY radar.. Neither do Asari.

I don't think it's a stretch to think that the Reapers managed to find, subdue and transform her. They're slaughtering organics in the billions. I can't imagine Morinth would be able to hide from them forever.

Morinth knew about the reapers unlike the general population. It would imply that she traveled to a location that is under siege, which doesn't make sense. Besides Samara survived too if she was picked no?

Bioware didn't want to do anything more with her. This resulted in Morinth losing all the intelligence she was written as possessing and sending the reapers a 'come grab me' card complete with her address.

Not at all.  If she was already on a planet when the Reapers attacked it, it's not a stretch at all to imagine she was unable to leave and eventually captured.

Just because she knew they were coming doesn't mean she knew when/where every Reaper assault force would hit.

Morinth is a capable enough person to react in time and get away, if she really needs to. That's what she spent 400 years doing - running away and hiding. Not so hard to find a shuttle and get off the planet. Most people come and go during the war as they please, Turian Primarch for example was at war, but just took a shuttle and flew away.

All the refugees that come to citadel are also regular people that got away from the invasion.

Bioware writting needs adjusting. What I want to know, is what exactly went through their head that atleast made it seem believable.

I think one thing people forget is Shepard and crew can move around the galaxy with impunity because they have a fast stealth ship. Morinth's a very smart girl, sure, but it just takes one mistake or bit of bad luck and she could easily get stuck on a planet being attacked by the reapers, and at that point its only a matter of time. She'd be hard pressed to find a way off planet, and even if she made it, for that ship to outrun the reapers and make it to another system. And if they actually found out she was on the planet and actively hunted her, its well nigh impossible for her to last for very long.

Sure, she's supposedly as powerful as her mom, but she's also a serial killer. Her usual MO is to beguile her opponents, and then strike when their defenses are down. One could argue that the collector mission showed she could fight as hard as her mom if pressed. But even then, how many people could she really take on? Several dozen? A planetary reaper invasion force prolly has millions, with their numbers growing stronger as they indoctrinate the population. With no way to get off planet, she'll be overwhelmed eventually. The PTSD Asari who killed Joker's family, she lasted a couple of weeks, sure, but she was also eventually picked up by Asari forces. Morinth has no friends or allies to speak of to find and rescue her.

As for, "shouldn't she be smart enough to run somewhere far away from the Reapers?" Sure, but again, she's also a serial killer. She can't not hunt, those urges are too strong, she would never be able so stay in some remote isolated location for very long. She'd have to go to a place with a sizable population, which would also be the kinda place the Reapers would attack. Could you see her hiding out in some small, podunk colony? And if she did manage to stomach it, how long before she attacked someone and got discovered, presenting a whole different set of problems and forcing her to flee?

No, he didn't just 'take a shuttle and fly away'.  He took the Normandy, a unique vessel capable of avoiding Reaper detection.

Just look how well 'hopping in a shuttle and flying away' worked out for the folks on Earth in the intro.

Liara and Jack, I think, also match her.
In any case, Morinth is certainly good, but no one can hold out against the Reapers alone, indefinitely. And they'd be willing to sacrifice large numbers of husks and cannibals to capture one potential banshee.

"Ardat-Yakshi" isn't written on her face, they don't have a radar for them. They visited monasteries, a place where they all are gathered.

Perhaps Cerberus told them? Either that, or they can sense a difference in psychic activity in the brains of Ardat-Yakshi.

She should just be smart enough to get out in time when the war starts. I said it before - there are countless refugees that evacuate in time by regular personal, that come to citadel for shelter.

Just pretend that she felt so much guilt and regret for the people she's killed that she fought to the death to save an orphanage, or something.

Told them what? Cerberus didn't even know I had Morinth on the ship.
Other than that, I still think reapers visited specific places to harvest AY. I don't think they can sense them.
