Hale makes a terrible Shepard. She tries to hard to sound like a badass.

i don't really like Hale's shep. I much prefer Meer. Plus, "we'll bang, ok?"

I always felt Meer was stronger when doing a non singular playthrough. His voice work runs the gamut of emotions more, which I like a lot better than Hale, who sounds somewhat schizophrenic if you go from paragon to renegade.

And since my RP style depends on the situation, at hand for proper tones and what not, Meer for me had a lot more range.

I have to say he is mine as well right now.

Same. Although, there is that "The Council can kiss my ass!" line that makes me cringe everytime.

This questions presents very good example of how different people are from each other. I personally think Jennifer Hale is much better and this the main reason my canon Shepard is female. When people say Mark Meer puts more emotion... I don't know what to think other than they are crazy. Hale puts a whole lot more emotion, granted, she can a little overdramatic at times. I do think Mark Meer improved in each game, but he never got the level of Hale. I also believe it has very much to do with who you played has first. I did indeed play as FemShep first.
