I like to pop my shield up in front of someone I am reviving to protect them. If I put it up while meleeing a Banshee I try to pull the banshee through it. The shield is there to protect from the random fire coming in from everything else.

and for the record OP...learn2grammar : It's  If "you're" playing as the Jugg....  not "your"

Juggernaut is less mobile than all kits,  if you are not mobile enough to get around a shield, then you clearly need to learn to play.

As for destroying one of the asset that makes a Juggernaut able to tank, distract the ennemy and buy you time to do a lot of DPS without having to worry too much about being downed or sync killed, it makes you a bad team mate, it makes your tank more vulnerable, and if he goes down because you were too egoist to make a single and simple move on the right to shoot the target, then you are a burden.

While you are focusing destroying the shields a jugg makes, you are actually weakening one of your team asset, while not doing any DPS, that means you are actually contributing more toward defeat than toward victory.

A player like you should be kicked if he does that all match long.

I do not say that juggs shoud not be aware of where they makes their shield pop, i am very cautious of where i make it pop when i play jugg, as i also specifically chose not to take the large shield to reduce the annoyance on team mates.

Guess what....I host my own games.  I play Platinum on Giant for fast credits...holding the LZ choke point.  It is a CHOKE POINT...if a random pops up a retarded shield in the choke point it isn't helping anyone.  Also...Platinum Reapers...why bother with the shield...you have banshees who just warp through it, you have brutes who just walk through it.  The shield is a WASTE on Platinum games where you are holding a choke point...if you insist on being a jugg than just stand there and be a 10 wave decoy sucking shields out.

Riiiight. Because getting pummled by Ravagers, Scions, or Primes. While a pair or Praetorians staggers you with that ridiculous melee spam, is always a recepie for success, especially when your scrub team decides to shoot the Praetorians instead of the bloody Scions. 

Screw that I'm putting the Hex shield up.

Guess what?  Play a game with me and my 2 regulars and those enemies will never get close enough to you to worry about your shield.  But really...I don't care, I hardly ever play with randoms and when I do if they do the shield crap the entire game...they get kicked.

My only guess is that you only have played with jugg that did not really knew where to pop a shield, because on the LZ choke point of giant there is plenty of space to pop a shield whithout hindering your team mate.

Either that or you are very intolerant about someone using a shield.

To the person who said that the only people playing Jugg in Platinum are using it as a crutch, what are you rolling? TGI with a Harrier? Nah, scrub like you is probably playing a Demolisher, convinced you're just a stone-cold badass.

This shouldn't be hard to understand. There is no -- I repeat, NO -- situation where you need to be shooting through that shield unless that's the very last enemy on the map. People like you don't care about team work, you don't care about why the shield is there, you just want to have the high score to feed your ePeen, and by god, if someone stops you, they must be a nub, in a crutch class, because you are uberl33t and you know it.

I have seen, over and over, people who continue to attack the banshee I have locked down , ignoring the other threats. I've seen people pop the single husk I'm trying to regen shields with who , when you call them out on it, say "it was a target, stop whining", and yet scream at me when I catch one of their 'targets' in the blast of my siege pulse. I've seen people who ignore the three pyros all over me to snipe the Prime I'm already dealing with, then complain bitterly that "I suck" because I can't solo a Prime, two bombers, three pyros, and a hunter, when not a single one of them was putting fire into anything but the Prime.

Just leave the banshees to me and kill other things like ravagers and marauders. I use the shield to block her warp, then sidestep to empty a reegar clip into her head, then get back behind my shield to block the next warp. The shield also protects me from ravagers that teammates refuse to kill because "OH NOES, BANSHEE INCOMING, FOCUS ALL FIRE ON IT NAO!!!111" Maybe some of them even wonder why they have to kill so many of these damn things each wave.

The ignorant part is: people are b*tching about the Hex Sheild are apparently oblivious it IS the Juggernaut's cover. He cannot run or cower in a corner like any other class can but he can prevent every other player from getting hit a single time as well as (literally) tank like a MMO warrior all the things. Is this thread supposed to be reverse psychology or something because I gotta wash my hands of this ironic filth.

theres 2 ravagers 2 primes 2 banshees a host of mooks and there melting my frackign shield so i go down faster than a callgirl shown cash.....


its not rocket science to realise that the 20 second shield is disaperaing as i put it up when you target my replen target and i die, several games now i have left the team to get stompped and not even atempted ot help them because idiots dont deserve to be helped (what s funny is standing in a choke point and doing nothing but shield + heavey melee for 20 minutes til the waves dead as well) .... then as if thats not bad enough they regar or rocket the shield when i pop the thing to cover us from the mega army on extraction and rage that they get downed with secodns left on the clock ....

I dunno if someone has posted this, but the heavy melee on the jugg has a small cooldown that can and does get you killed during super tank fests. Using a power cancels this cooldown, and Hex Shield is the best option for this, as properly specced it staggers mooks and deals DoT to everything.

I don't mind the shields..like others have stated, for the most part he's tanking bosses and keeping his shields up. (and in the process he's indirectly protecting teammates). Now if there's like 2 scions and 2 praetorians throwing everything at him, i'm sticking by his side and pummeling the enemies with everything i got, because even if he's draining a boss with his melee, chances are the damage he's taking from those other bosses are draining his shields faster than he csn restore them.

Like i said earlier it's very situational, if he's tanking a boss by himself i'll let him have at it and kill lesser enemies. This thread is hilarious and a bit juvenile...there seems to be alot of elitism being thrown around when it's not even about that. not saying that there aren't some folks that probably play bad with him, but even when folks are playing bad with him, he's still the player with the biggest bullseye on his back and that alone STILL gives the other teammates time to shred the other enemies since he is ultimately taking on the boggest amount of arrgo...

hehe , funny i just played a game where i was a jug, was pretty much just draining all game, and one of the team mates started yelling at me telling me to stop taking all the kills. The kid was furious. I told him i was trying to help and my 12k score didnt show much of me kill stealing. we ended the game at wave 9 because he decided to stop playing alltogether. Next game i decided to be a jug but not drain and we made it to wave 3 little bastard.
