Ok i know this is gunna sound dumb but can someone explain how to actually activate the armax arena???

I go in and can look around but cant figure out how to join a match

Go down the stairs. It says "Athletes Only" or something. It opens as you approach it.

In the center of the main room there is a flight of stair marked contestants only (or somthing) take them down to the lower level. In front of you is the panel which allows you to adjust the match settings. take a right then the door on the left you should be in the locker room which is accross from the press room. on the far right side of the locker room there is an eleveator enter it this is how you begin a match.

ah ok thanks, i thought that but for some reason wouldnt let me pass through the barrier that says "athletes only". dumb question i know xD
