Sweet. I used MEUITM for ME1 and my current Femshep is a redhead with freckles. This new complextion should be perfect for ME3 to keep the look. Thanks!

Hey Ottemis, the reason you don't have .mod files for DLC stuff is because it causes the game to crash, correct? I only ask because I really hate using texmod and I thought ways of editing dlc files (without causing a crash) had been figured out.

I've actually started to release DLC mods of late because the dlc authentication patch is a lot easier to use in it's current incarnation and it's basically become no harder than installing a basegame .mod. I actually highly advise you do DLC .mods now =) Theres really no downside anymore!

The listing here might not be 100% updated, it's advised to check my Nexus listing first atm as I'm still pulling everything together.

I can attest to Ottemis' statement. After I found out how easy it is to patch the DLC authentication, I went ahead and applied the .mod files to DLC content as well, and it works beautifully.
No crashes, no unauthenticated DLCs, it just works.

True enough. I've been releasing DLC mesh mods regularly now. One thing to note, however. Texture mods are no problem at all but I've found that if you apply a dlc mesh mod (by itself or in combo with texture) then you stand a fair likelihood of getting an infinite load screen when loading a game that calls to to dlc BUT all is not lost. You fix it by opening up the DLC TOCbin Updater (Developer Tools under TOC) and selecting "Check SFAR". Navigate to the dlc folder and select the Default.sfar and that's it. Nine times out of ten this will fix the infinite load. If it doesn't, select "Check and rebuild SFAR" instead.

I do this as a matter of course now after a dlc mod just to avoid issues.

Ahh ok, that's good to hear. Any timeline on when or if you're going to convert the Spirit/Shade/Nightmare armor sets to .mod files?

Not sure if it may be involved, but since the textures alter the PCC in question, it may be: Does anyone else notice a sort of flap thingy hanging from underneath the belt buckle on the pants portion of the FemShep N7 armor set? I never noticed it before, and if I swap the backup PCC back in, it's still there (or I swapped out the wrong PCC).

EDIT: It seems it's supposed to be there.  I looked at an image of the BroShep N7 armor set on Mass Effect Wiki (http://masseffect.wi...E3_N7_Armor.png) and it has it too. Presumably, the images on the Wiki are from an unaltered game. I wonder why I never noticed it before...

Hello Ottemis; I recognise that what I'm going to ask my be pretty time consuming and that you're very busy atm however I was hoping that when you have the time you might consider looking into this:

Image IPB

I would like a female version of the male armour above. It would be so cool to be able to give to FemShep/Ashley/Brooks etc. I have the male texture below. Do you have any idea of how difficult it would be?

Thank you :)

A female version of the NPC Alliance Soldier outfit in ME3?
It's relatively straightforward to create a female version with that colour-scheme if there is an existing female model you wouldn't mind being used for it. I would need a female armor that also has a diffuse, not just a spec (not all NPC outfits have a separate diffuse to conserve on space).

While I could create a custom mesh from the Male model, I'd rather not as it would be unnecessarily time-consuming to get around the look of the chest-piece.

@Ottemis:

The mesh for the female in the above pic is located in: BIOG_HMF_ARM_HVY_R.pcc

Happy modding.

Yeah thanks hun, I know where it is. Need Joken to tell me if he wants me to use that one or another viable model with diffuse/spec though. Because the wrap would be different it'd be a themed retexture, not a direct match so to speak.

Also just to be clear, I'm considering this solely because I'd take the opportunity to retexture the male version as well, and replacing any of the female versions with a HR version wouldn't hurt. Whether that's a mercenary colourscheme or alliance doesn't much matter to me in the end. It will have a to wait a bit though seeing as I'm working on a lot of different things atm.

If it is appropriate, that one would be perfect. If there is another one that would be better to do then I'd be happy with that :D

Understood, and thank you!

Ottemis, what was the method you used to properly format normal maps?  I discovered some of the fixed TPF ME3Mods of Smarteck's stuff you linked me to earlier have malformed normal maps in them, and am attempting to fix them for myself.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found out where the DX SDK ended up.  I forgot I had it...

I was asked to help get the ME2 Iconic Bun into ME3 by BSN user jli84.
I've remapped the UV for the ME2 bun to fit with the textures of the ME3 Icobun, this way it doesn't occupy the empty texture slot to use it and it won't conflict with other released hairstyles.
I've revamped the Pulled scalptexture, making the hair on it more inline with the ME3 bun textures and I've adjusted the Mask to give a better hairline.

It's released on the Nexus, main download is a Mesh .mod replacing the ME2 deprecated Mohawk mesh, then a texture TPF that replaces the Pulled Scalp Diff and Mask and a slight contrast adjustment for the ME3 Icobun hair Diff. You can use the TPF either with Texmod, or you can permanently apply it via ME3Explorer's TPF Tools.

Looks best on a Shep that has been Lazarussed due to the changed scalpshape in ME2.

Here's the link.

I've finished my EDI mod. This is a combination mesh / texture mod. For the moment I've bundled the basegame mesh .mod with a .tpf for the textures and will soon add the DLC specific mesh .mods.
You can find the mod on the Nexus, I'll add it to the OP soon. Some comparison shots:

Hübsch. Sehr hübsch.

You were planning on new takes of her cat-suits, too? Even though I like what Largon did - turning her into Eva Core "reborn" - I'm certainly looking forward to more of that.

The alternate EDI outfits, i've considered doing them but not decided yet. Kaidan's outfit and the revamp of the ME2 Armorpack come first.

Phreeeow!   Holy zarking belgium that EDI is hoopy froodness.

Is it wrong of me to be an Ottemis fanboy and just download your stuff on principle alone?

Now if someone would just hi-rez Javik and his armor like that.  That Prothean don't get no love from the texture-improving folks.

To trip it old school, this is righteously bodacious.  ;)
