do you think it is possible to add femsheps black dress from me2 (kasumi)?

This was the first attempt by someone

Posted Image

Now if we ever got that dress working in ME3 I would be very very happy.

its pretty close.

Yup, fix the lighting issue, fix the noodle arms and the legs+shoes and maybe apply a texmod to improve the quality and it's just like what Kasumi gave us :D

If I might provide some constructive criticism on Garrus' armor?

I think it has too many scratches. And it's conflicting with the mirror effect. I think it should be buffed out so it doesn't look like a repeated texture. It has some prominent scratches and my eyes can tell it's a stock texture being repeated.

I'll revise once the Armax is done. There's a version with HR face based on JeanLuc's ME2 version / Church's ME3 conversion in the woodworks, I'll see about changes for that tpf/mod release.

I can tone down the scratches on the grey/silver bits, and try to minimize the mirror-effect but you're bound to keep some due to the wrap.

Honestly, I think this armor is very well done. The mirror effect is not Ottemis's fault as the wrap basically is that way. The texture is mirrored ON Garrus, so no matter what Ottemis does with it, there will be repeated scratches and you will notice it. The only reason it wasn't as noticeable before he became hi-res, is because his texture was so horrible, you could barely see any details.

Toning down the scratches MIGHT make it slightly better ( I personally like the scratchiness) but it won't make the mirroring less noticeable cause the fault lies with the fact that the texture on Garrus is perfectly symmetrical.

I like the scratches.  Makes it look used rather than something right off some store shelf.  A perfectly clean and crisp pair of BDUs means the troop either JUST got the uni or (horror of horrors) has never seen any action outside an office.

I agree with MizzNaaa and Getorex. I love the scratches. Gives it that "used in combat" look. I hope Ottemis doesn't change it at all.

I like the scratches as well, but I agree it can be adjusted to make the mirroring less obvious. The one area that my eye is drawn to is the little bit directly in the center right below the top of the collar that looks like a sideways "V". It sticks out because it is in the direct line of view and much brighter than the rest of the wear.

Anyways, just my 2c. I adore what Ottemis has done and would keep using it regardless.

@ELE08: Ya spotted that spot too, plus the two bits on the helmet, I'll check the back again too when I get round to it and see if there are any obvious mirrors and I'll lower the metal contrast a bit on the specmap for the scratches, see how that works out. Should help a long way without losing the 'scratchiness' per say.

Find golden midway yesh? Baaaah lol.

Also to prove I AM making progress on the bleeding Armax, here's two WiPs:

I know, it's taking long. It's been peeving me off something fierce, has something to do with wraps being broken on Femshep and not Maleshep. Tickled me wrong.

Looks great Ottemis! Really wish I had more talent (and tools) to do some texturing myself. Kolyat took me forever and that was working off Jean Luc's Thane retex.

I'm not saying I don't like the scratches - I do and I think that they should be there but she should try and minimize the result of such a hindrance from a mirrored texture. I should have said buffed it out a bit.

And I never said it was her fault that it's just the way the texture wraps. I love the texture too but I think theres some room for improvement and I'm just giving feedback. Don't jump all over me as if insulted her. It's called "constructive criticism."

It's no biggy, it's all cleared up. Text-medium is limited.  As I said, I shall look into the mirror-effect with some of the more prominent scratches. It shall be good and there shall be cookies!

Also, flames. Artistic integrity freedom. It responds to pattern colour for the stripe and camo.

@Didact2401: I hear ya. My first re-texture literally took weeks, now I'm ridiculously effective in comparison but it's still a pain in the be-hind. I'd say though you do more than plenty for the modding community whether or not you actually 'mod'.

Yeah, I'd second Charlie's comment re: the level of scratches/mirroring - it's no personal attack,  just personal opinion/preference, and just a remark on how to make it even better (IMO - feel free to disagree).

I think this is all quite overblown, Charlie said he thought it had "too many scratches" and it needed to be "buffed out", which sounded like he wanted it all smoothed out, other people disagreed and felt need to point out it's nature of the beast with the mirror-wrap. They were also quite possibly afraid I would largely remove the scratchiness from the armor as a response to the feedback, as they felt need to point out they like the scratches particularly. Charlie came back and clarified his stance, which actually falls much in line with that of everyone else it seems but was misunderstood due to wording.

I responded appropriately I would think. I acknowledged and agreed with his feedback and layed out what I plan on doing in responce. I don't see there being a remaining issue, unless I'm missing something.
Just a simple misunderstanding / miscommunication :)

Now to change the subject subtlely like only I can *cough*. It's Easter, so happy Easter everybody =)
I'm gonna go make my sister happy and visit with a DVD of the Nightmare before Christmas because there's nothing like mixing your holliday seasons up, specially in this weather. Have fun everyone that's doing something special, and I'll be back tonight and whip myself back behind photoshop to finalise the Armax. Wub wub.

HR Armax Arsenal set TPF released. Download link is in the OP.

I customized the stripemaps for this one. The legs almost didn't have any stripe recolouring, so I added some by making the recolour of certain elements consistent over the entire set. The Chest has the flames on the back added. N7 logo recolour fixed for the Male chest as well.

Welp, bad news. The Armax set shares names between male and female pieces so until Saltisgood releases a version of Texplorer that fixes that, no .mod. :(

Aww crap, and I was so looking forward to that... now I can't use the armor since my PC doesn't play very nice with Texmod, even though the screenshots of femShep modeling it are mine :(

Oh well, at least I contributed some screenshots :)

Hey it might actually be worth it for you to try and use umod instead of texmod and see if that clears it up, I've heard it helps some that have FPS drop issues with texmod with Mass Effect specifically.

Thank you very much for some awesome textures high res Ottemis! I just have one question, I would like to use the Garrus' AA Armor (blue with yellow trims) for texmod but I can't find the download link. When I click the Texmod TPF link I'm taken to the project, but there the only Garrus armor listed is the original armor while I want the alternative armor you've made. Am I doing something wrong ? :D
