Release will be fully retextured and made available in multiple colour combo's, will take me a while to finish as I'm participating in art and writing prompts atm as well and have some busy weeks ahead with family.
It's for Shepard, the mesh combines parts of three different outfits.Oooh, now
EDIwill actually be able to "infiltrate" humans! Great job!
Or is it Miranda? Hum...
Will it replace the first outfit? Meaning the opening outfit.

Yes, though I always call it the fourth casual as it's the fourth in the locker for me, that or intro as you said. But yes, the ones you are forced into on earth =)
Hey Ottemis, I think it is great that you are doing a mod for the fourth casual. As far as I know, this particular outfit has been worked on twice: once by smartek (the IBR_Fatigues that I've had so much problems installing) and once by horography, which rocked my world but has a texture seam that's troubling. I'd love-it if someone else wanted to have it's own take on this particular outfit in HD (while keeping in mind the me3explorer as a way to install-it)!
I've done a HR retexture of the original fourth casual in several different colours. It's not a mesh mod obviously but you can find them in my OP and I've recently moved them to the Nexus.
There are quite a few other mesh mods floating around the web (Tumblr is a good source as people often make cross IP meshes) for the fourth casual.
My personal favorite is this one by ELE, if you want to check it out =)
Still, I wanted to create my own HR mesh for one of my Shepards. It'll take me a while to finish as I'm doing other things in between but it's coming =)
Ah, there we go, I tought I had found one from you but could not find-it anymore! I'll give a spin to ELE's later, but for now, I'll try yours!
I was wondering, if there is any chance that you might have a HR version of the Sentry Interface planned? All the good HR versions I find seem to look like they are (As I like to call it.) crystallizing. I can stick with the version that is in the game, but I'm just looking at my options.

Ahh that's because the holographic elements can't be upscaled with the toolset, it's a toolset limitation. If you use texmod or remove the job for the holographic interface you are fine. As to whether i'll do it at some point, perhaps. It's unlikely I would do anything with the interface rather than just the frame though for exactly this reason.
Hey, just dropping in voice my general appreciation for your mods Ottemis. After ages of just using content mods, I am finally doing a playthrough where I modded ME3's textures to hell and gone. I am using almost all of yours and the game looks absolutely amazing. I made a little gallery with screens (I only just rescued the turian primarch, so I am not that far in yet and will keep updating). Feel free to copy and use any pics from there if you like, they show your stuff after all. ![]()
My favorites are the mods that change armors (love the N7 reskin for the Ajax, see gallery) but also, EDI for example is a whole different animal (... well, robot, really) with your mod.
So thanks heaps!!!
Hello, Ottemis. Do you know is there a mod that fixes glitchy model of every volus in Presidium Commons (except Bank area)? If not, do you have plans to do that? They are pain in my eyes.

Errr, I'm pretty sure that's an animation problem, not sure if that would be such an easy fix, if fixable at all. Not something I'm goign to look into I'm afraid.Hello, Ottemis. (Ajax isn't mine but no matter =P). Happy you're doing a playthrough! It's hard to break away from modding isn't it =o Loved the pictures =) Might steal some for the Nexus later, if you like though feel free to submit them to projects too if you're ever bored haha.
Oh, yea, haha, sorry, my bad. Thought the Ajax was yours when in fact, it's the Armax Arena one. I am not far enbough in yet to have that one but I am curious about it. will update the gallery as my playthourgh progresses.
Oh and yea, it's good to do another playthrough before getting back to modding, especially now that I have the textures all working. ![]()
Mass Effect modding really has evolved in a few years (Last time I checked, we were limited to Coalesced tweaks).
So, with ME3Explorer and the ability to import custom meshes, is it finally possible to give ME2 squadmates proper sealed suits and helmets?
I've seen a bunch of texmods for "sealed" squadmate outfits, but never a mask/helmet mesh replacement.
It can be done in ME3, at least (as evidenced by Getorex's awesome Full Face helmet mod), but what about ME2?
Also, it it possible to fix the ME2 cutscene weapon issues now? I always changed the squad's loadout to be as consistent as possible with the cutscenes (that means giving heavy Pistols as a 3rd weapon to Garrus, Thane, Zaeed, etc.) but it's always annoying to see a Soldier Shep pull out a Shuriken every once in a while (and always in close-ups)... Standardizing the cutscene guns to heavy pistols (which all classes and most squadmates can use) would already be a huge improvement.
ME1 and ME2 do not have mesh tools (yet) so I'm afraid not.

OK. I thought the ME2 PCC editor could at least be used for mesh swaps if it doesn't exceed the size of the original data.
I really don't know much about the engine differences between the two games, but I find it strange that ME3 would be easier to mod than ME2. Isn't ME2's engine closer to "vanilla" Unreal Engine 3?

It isn't 'easier' we just don't have a programmer to port the functional tools over to ME1/ME2 from ME3. The toolset only has so many programmers and they are overburdened, without more volunteers not everything gets done.
I so miss an HR Mnemonic Visor and Delumcore Overlay... D:
Anyway, amazing pieces of work ![]()
Hey Ottemis,
Haven't been on here in a while but I'm still using that awesome Phoenix recolor of Ash's armor you did for me.
Anyway had a question about EDI's Head. How would I go about changing EDI's head texture so that it matches between her Default, Black Alternate, and her From Ashes outfits? You know so she has the blue eyes instead of the visor? That's possible right?
Erm, under the EDI default project is a separate download for just the custom head (mesh and textures). That one will blanket apply across the default, from ashes and alternate appearances.
The only thing you have to worry about (should you own the DLC) is to run the no visor mod for the AAP armor and be sure to apply the default head mod afterwards to make sure they are all overwritten.
Thank you so much for these textures!
Hi, Ottemis!
I really like your armor retextures, highest quality of everything that I've seen for ME3 in my opinion.
Can I ask you one question about your workflow? What are the maps you have used in Mass Effect 1 Phoenix armour retexture?

I mean in spec map there is three RGB channels - I suppose Red is gloss, Green is specular but I can't quite figure out what is this map suppose to do?

I'm going to make HD version for some armors and this Blue channel is really bothering me, can you please help me with this question?
Thank you very much!
