Regarding the female Turian, doesn't this happen before Garrus and Tali hookup? I didn't think the scene with Garrus and Tali would trigger until right before the end run.

If it happens before Garrus was completely single and was in no way cheating on Tali. They had not yet hooked up.
 
If it happens after Garrus wasn't really cheating on Tali either, as Tali makes it clear its just a fling with Garrus. They were f--king, not dating.

Shepard interrupted them before they got further, but its fairly clear they were about to have sex before Shepard walked in on them. Their banter is even sexually charged after Shepard interrupts them, with Tali telling Garrus its just a fling and she's using him for his body. 

Its heavily implied that they were totally going to have sex after Shepard left.

I've always seen Tali with Kal'Reegar. Man was I angry when they finished him off by email.
Obviously this fling they suppose to have if none of them is romanced comes nowhere near to what Shep/Tali or Femshep/Garrus have. This hook up reminded me of Garrus's story about the turian recon scout. "Blowing of steam" was all there is to it. Especially if you consider how easily Garrus rolls into a date with a turian female on the Citadel.
Tali on the other hand might have a slight crush on Garrus, taken her drunken rambling about them having a threesome.
Hilarious as it may be, sorry girl I'm not the sharing type!

She flat out tells Garrus its just a fling and she's using him for his body. A fling is a short term sexual relationship.

I think the reason part of me trusts Reegar so much, is because of his VA. I always picture John Casey from Chuck. I personally would trust him merely because of his voice, without question.

II believe they have every intention to have sex. But I'm finding it harder to imagine they actually got there if they couldn't even kiss without Garrus getting his mandible stuck. No offense to Talimancers, but it seems like being with Tali would be a logistical nightmare when it comes to keeping her safe, and from their fumbling it's clear that Garrus did not do the research.

You don't actually see it happen because Mass Effect isn't a virtual porno, and fade-to-blacks only work with characters a player controls.

With NPCs its enough to simply imply it, which is what happens with Garrus and Tali, Vega and Ashley, and Ken and Gabby.

I see that scene as just some heavy flirting. You can flirt and not engage in sex right after...

Both are headcanon. You are free to believe whatever you want.

It's getting harder to not romance Garrus when I know that Tali, that Turian chick, and even that Doctor Michel, is right on Garrus' doorstep. This why I'll never be able to try any other romances, even with ManShep.

It's actually kind of flattering that our LI is almost as much of a hot commodity as Shepard him/herself. It still feels like the Powers That Be seem to have made it their mission to get Garrus laid, so much so that they developed contingency plans for Shepard's romance choices and the Rannoch arc.

EDIT: Okay, that was brilliant. Still, come on Shepard, you don't leave your gamer bro hanging!

I didn't like the Ash/Vega hook-up because of these reason:

1. Ashley is a Specter who holds the rank of Lt. Commander (like Shepard) and had a hand in helping stop Saren in ME1. So it's okay for Vega to have a "fling" with Ashley than with Femshep? Ashley is the XO so she would have been Shepard's second-in-command. I'm sorry, what?

2. It was random and out of character.

The only time I see flirting is from Tali and I believed it only happens twice. Twice! Then later they "hook up"? At the battery? Where it's less than sanitary? They always had a sibling relationship so seeing them together was strange.

I'm all for cross-species romance. Not including the PC's romance with non-human relationships, Joker and EDI getting together was done well (I'm not all for EDI's body but I got used to it).

So, all in all, if it was implied and done well, I wouldn't have cared if they were together.

To be fair, first time sex with a new partner can always be an awkward and fumbling affair, even if you're the same species;)

Right. But if same species is 'Normal' difficulty and cross-species is 'Advanced', your partner having a deficient immune system and a complicated body suit has to be Insanity Mode. ;P Doesn't sound very tension relieving. I wouldn't blame them if they eventually got fed up and decided to just take advantage of those quarian nervestim programs.

Good point. Personally, I've never been big on the ManShep/Tali romance because I worry for her health, but they seem to have explained it away. Still, at least their encounter was on the brand new SR2 in Shepard's quarters, which probably doesn't get a lot of traffic. The battery on the other hand just got out of a retrofit, which means it has not only Garrus' germs but the germs of countless other human engineers floating around in there.

Fumbling once does not doom a relationship and does it really matter to how often you do or do not get out of the suit with each other. Sometimes the world is better if you can just come home and get a hug. If they like one another they will give it time and adjust. Hmm.. I can see them hooking up, might be for emotional support in a hectic time or it might be something deeper. Can't say really since we don't see much more than the start of the relationship. So it might be deep or not, but I can see them starting out at least.
