I don't know why, I'm getting this really unpleasant image of what you're like as a person. And it kind of adds up, in light of some of the things you've said.

The man already said: he has a very limited amount of consumables. It's not unheard of for people to play Gold regularly and NOT be sitting on hundreds of consumables — for people who haven't maxed their rare manifest, that's more often than not the case. If he says he's more-than-comfortable playing Gold without consumables, it's not his fault that your too limited in skill to even conceive such a thing. I mean, really, where's the line? Are people going to start kicking others out of Silver lobbies because they think it's unacceptable for someone not to use consumables on Silver? Oh, yeah, you're holding your team back if you don't use consumables on Gold... but aren't you doing the exact same thing on Silver or, hell, on Bronze? And when is the last time you used consumables on Bronze?

It's his game, he paid for it, and he can do whatever the **** he wants, as long as he isn't a liability for his team. And if he isn't one (and his assurance that he isn't is more than enough for me), who the hell are you to question how he goes about NOT being a liability? You're a no one, buddy: come to terms with the fact that you're in no position to determine what is acceptable and what isn't acceptable.

Mmm... I don't kick much, or if I do, I'll usually ask them to leave if I spot something that stands out. The only times I'll kick is when...

-If they bring a lower level character, I'll ask them if that's what they're bringing, and ask them to switch to something stronger. The exception to this rule is if I see someone with a "Best of the Best" banner - they can enter with whatever level character they damn well feel like and I won't complain.

-Low N7 and/or challenge level. While N7 level obviously doesn't give the whole story, it is an indicator of how much experience that person has. If I see an N7 30 player in a Gold lobby, I'll ask them to leave and explain they won't get any better getting 1-shot by everything.

-No gear. I'll ask them to slap on some gear, and watch them. If we're in a gold and they slap on a level 1 thing in every slot, I'm fine, but if we're in a plat and you're putting on junk gear, I'll just leave.

-Someone else has initiated a kick. I'll usually gauge if the kick is deserving, and follow along with it if it is.

Wait what? non-caster rolling with a single shot sniper gets a kick? dumbest thing I've ever heard. Any infi with a javelin, widow, or mantis is gonna do it better than a caster. In fact unless your using a asari van/adept or voldept your an idiot for carrying a sniper on a caster.

Based on one of my games yesterday - You will get kicked if your the only one doing objectives and ask your pug team mates for help to complete them whilst theyre ignoring doing them to camp on the other side of the map.

Also people who refuse to gel but expect me to get them up even thought they're surrounded by horrible painy death on all sides.

I did this once. I was the lead scorer but wasnt even watching the scoreboard. A hack pops up on Wave 10 and 3 of us are in the circle. But I noticed this one terrible player running around killing things. I thought that was fishy so checked the score and noticed he was in 2nd place. And around Wave 11 I noticed this guy all of a sudden starts burning rockets on everything til he took #1 spot.

So after the match he got a nice big red X by his name for not helping with objectives and being a kill scoring hog :wizard:

Yup. Use any weapons you want, if it'll get the game done faster and help it go more smoothly, by all means, use any of the so-called "cheese" weapons you want.

You want variety? Form a lobby, invite friends, and make thematic choices. No friends to join lobby with you? Then don't complain if someone wants to use a powerful weapon and setup.

Now, poor loadouts and mis-equipping is different, but communication is always better than a quick "X" vote.

I don't care if this was supposed to be a lighthearted thread, that garbage about the Reegar was irritating enough that I had to rant.

A lot of elitism in this thread. Not everybody can be all-knowing experts who are perfect at every MP aspect. I only kick for behavior issues.

That's kind of stuck up. This is why I try to only play platnium with friends because random platnium players are just a bit too elite for my taste. I brought a Krolord to platnium with my friends and held my own.

It's also rather strange to boot based on CPs. perhaps they are returning from a long break.

No one plays 12 hours a day.
The number one reason PUG's suck is that they suck at positioning. Depending on the kit, consumables aren't needed to have a solid 18-19 minute extraction on Gold.

Elistism from certain folks (but those folks are going to do that in any thread regardless), but I'll let you in on a little secert... some of the motivation for creating this very thread was for the purpose of educating some of the influx of new recruits to ME3 MP I've been noticing lately.

Me too. You seem to fail in comprehending the important fact that though Gold can be done without equipment--for many Gold vets--maximising your damage potential / output and thereby minimising consumable usage AND minimising the TIME it takes to play a game IS a key part to their game.

How I despise hearing this drivel "You don't need equipment on Gold" in my lobbies.

If that's your peasant-esq outlook--LEAVE already!!!

no need to be Insulting sheesh.
I was just chatting with someone else and they and you are right
I will use my equipment in gold from now on so I do not lead others by a bad example.

I didn't fail to comprehend
I just needed someone to explain Why it's so important for equipment on gold.
now that someone was Nice enough to properly explain it I'm good to go using my goodies on gold now.

Do not give in to these idiots.  I never used consumables when I moved to Gold, and I didn't use them on platinum either when I moved to plat.  Spent plenty of time soloing waves because people were stupid and died on both.  I only started using consumables for fun and massive overkill when I moved back to Gold because it's more enjoyable.

I repeat, do not give in to these noobs.

You dont use consumables on Gold+ because its required to extract. You use equipment to speed up the match so it doesnt go too long.

The being said, I only refuse to play with people that refuse to equip the permenant gear bonus personally. But that's after making every attempt to ask them to equip something

True.  I guess I would suggest people communicate in game.  I always have my mic going.  If I am doing something dumb, there are friendly ways to let me know.  I am always looking for advice.  You need me over *there* instead of *here* let me know.

Elitism is what has ruined a lot of the MMORPG's for me.  Some people have things that prevent them from spending 24/7 playing online.  Makes it a little more challenging to have 1 billion challenge points and every weapon maxed to X.

Not that I'm defending the original comment, but really if you're coming into a gold match... put on some gear! I don't care if it's level 1 equipment, just drop some on your character and show me you actually care about the game. Now, you want to not play with gear that's cool... do that with your friends or play silver/bronze with randoms. You come into a gold, me personally... I want to see gear.

Historically speaking, people who don't put on gear will quit 70% of the time mid-match if they are
A) getting score topped
B) are embarrassing themselves
C) completed some menial challenge for the points

There's nothing worse than having what should be a 20 minute match take 30/35 because someone's quit on wave 7, and people who put gear on tend to

A) stay in a match until it's finished
B) use consumables if necessary
C) will often come revive squad mates
D) help with objectives...

those are what we call "non-selfish players" and since there's no way to kick 'mid-game' the only telltale sign is what they have equipped when they ready up. Seeing if someone has gear on is one of the easiest ways to make that assessment.

Good players will be good, gear or not.  Consumables or not.  Max level weapons or not.

That's fine, but I manage fine without equipment on gold, as do many others.
Yeah, I call made-up stats.
35 minutes? If one individual doesn't put on some equipment? Really?
I do all of those, as do many others. Some don't of course, but that's true with those weilding equipment as well.
That's fine.

dude post your manifest, wtf are you saving your consumables for.     As I posted earlier, my experience with randoms is that no consumables means they are one of those quit-match-if-they-get-grabbed-no-medigel-using-no-rocket-using slackers.

i don't care how good you are ( or think you are ) I'm going to assume you are a slacker.  And like I said what are you saving them for?  Bronze and silver? ( since you don't use them for gold and platinum )

Re-read the post... I said, "20 minute match takes 30/35 because someone quits on wave 7" and then I went on to state that people who usually don't equip gear are the ones dropping on wave 7.

...and remember, it's generally a good rule of thumb to actually read the comment you're responding to. :innocent:

Ah, my bad. Regardless; unless it results in a PUG duo, those three waves should not result in an extra 15 minutes. In my opinion and experience of course.
