You'd better have another means of dealing with bosses, though. Otherwise you'll be pew-pewing at a Brute for a veeeeeeery long time...

Title. Seems like an interesting idea, but with Carnifex-esque damage it's hard to find a kit it's good on.
Pick a drell, any drell. Pretty much any character with high headshot passive damage. Works good on Asari with Stasis.

Headshots and it's perfect for the light infantry. You almost have to carry the CSMG or Hurricane to deal with fatties though.C0MB0 wrote...
Not enough ammo. For me its worse than the Harrier for box trips, which is why I rarely use either.

your funny guy, use it on kits that keep enemies still it has the highest headshot multiplier in the game.
Sabotage kits
Energy drain kits
Submission net kits
Stasis kits, ect.
Use extended mag and damage barrel, a while ago someone did the math to demonstrate how the headshot barrel is useless.
As soon as you see an enemy, lock them in place. 3 shots to the head.
It DESTROYS scions, primes, and any boss with a head that can be shot

It doesn't do nearly as much damage as the Carnifex, though, and is kind of useless against shields.
I think it should have held 8 shots and had 60 spare ammo, personally. I guess there's a DPS issue that made them give it such a small clip size.
I love going for headshots, so i figured it would work out well, but even with headshots, I don't find I kill any faster than I do with a scoped Carnifex, which typically only takes 3 headshot to kill a shielded mook. That takes about as long as a full clip on the Suppressor, but you still have enough bullets to keep fighting many more mooks.
It's a fun change of pace, but the Carnfex is a more efficient killer, if you can get headshots.
Edit: (I should mention that I don't have any weapon passives on the Carnifex with that kit, which is why it takes three shots from the Carni. It is a Melee build, and the Carni is a utilitarian choice. I haven't tried the Suppressor with Targetting VI or anything like that, yet.)

It's a fun weapon, but not sure if I'm going to make it one of my staples.

Boss headshot multiplier is fixed at 1.4x. Doesn't matter if the weapon has a nonstandard HS multiplier.Devoidparanoia wrote...

Not sure if cranial mod, targeting VI or class passive headshot bonuses affect bosses. Can check some of the game mechanics threads later.

I've used it once on a huntress against reapers. Really enjoyed it, agree it seemed to run out of ammo faster than I expected but was fun for a change. Really like the sound too.

Dang that's actually a good idea. I'm ashamed I didn't think of it. TC/DC/Warp does all your boss damage, and you can pop the heads off the little ones with your supressor. Good call sir.
