For Maleshep, Liara all the way, mainly because Liara changes so much during the course of the 3 games and so the relationship never stalls plus she has a good amount of content, also she's an Asari.

For Femshep, I think Kaidan, but I say that mostly because Kadan has been since ME1 my favourite companion after Liara, so I hope the femsheps of the world give him the love I couldn't give him

We've been here before, but why not. Tali clearly, personally and for my primary (paragon) Shep. Jack though for my other "serious" Shep, more of a Renegade.

Other LI playthroughs were just to mix it up for story/gameplay variety. The one femShep seemed to work with Thane, so there's that.

As I said about the Dextro's, they were made romanceable do to fan demand. I don't think BW really meant for them to be taken too seriously. I've not seen or heard one BW employee who romances either of them, except Merizan for Garrus.

And yes they have the most romance content in ME3 besides Liara, showing that Bioware did put alot ot time an effort into it.

I don't know why BW is pushing Asari so much, Vega and Treeya, Liara and Shep, honestly, I don't like any of them as individuals, and the culture itself I never liked, nor the government, especially after ME3. Plus everybody seems to find them physically attractive, but I think the whole blue thing is a disease for us, and no hair is a personal (huge) dislike.

They weren't options to begin with, but became (subjectively) the best romances in the series. So obviously Bioware cared about Tali and Garrus and wanted them to be taken seriously.

FemShep's soulmate: Garrus. He's the best friend who will never leave her side. He also has a cute protective side that shows when he and Zaeed set up booby traps in the apartment at the party. He and Shep are perfect for each other.

BroShep: Miri.  She's BroShep's equal, and the most mature of all female squadmates.  She's beautiful, intelligent, loving, perfect.  I think she'd make a fine soulmate for FemShep too.

MaleShep - Kaidan. He and my canon Shep, at least, fit each other perfectly. Their romance arc is unique compared to the others, and the moment they confessed their feelings I knew they were soulmates.

FemShep - Garrus, for reasons stated previously. Especially for my femShep, who overcame her contempt for aliens for him.

Dude...why didn't I think of that? That's a great idea! Let me write that down real fast...

Shepard...lives...EDI...dies...thanks to Banshee Bait. Or maybe I should write it as Edi is Banshee Bait.

For me fem!Shepard/Traynor is a great romance, at the party scene, especially the EDI/Traynor scene where Shepard gets jealous. dance scene was funny too.

Kaidan, of course. I've grown to like the romance arc, warts and all. It worked surprisingly well for a franchise that doesn't support more complex relationships, for having him sidelined for 1,5 games and for sort of sharing the character/romance arc with Ashley.

I like the idea that he stands up to Shepard and her larger than life image and draws his line in the sand. That's pretty rare when it comes to ME LIs.
